My personal most impressive takeaway from this talk from Stephen Krashen: write now, write before reading, write when you know little.

What a privilege to have access to this kind of knowledge for free. By the way I am listening while doing the dishes and it's so enjoyable 😉

Very enjoyable and good points. I got englush as a 3rd or 4th language from watching non dubbed tv in the 60's, plus reading PJ Woodhouse surreptitiously during religion class in school. I do most of my writing in English because the mind set of English works better for me than my native dutch. Exposure to multiple languages is great. My way of getting to them is travel by myself, youtube and books on subjects that interest me. Formal learning never did much for me.

5:34 I like his sense of humor. Though I've heard about him saying the mushroom joke in some other videos, it's still a good one.

So good! Thank you so much! It gives one hope. If we feel we lost our "sparkle" (in terms of writing), this is a good video to watch.
