My personal most impressive takeaway from this talk from Stephen Krashen: write now, write before reading, write when you know little.
What a privilege to have access to this kind of knowledge for free. By the way I am listening while doing the dishes and it's so enjoyable 😉
8:35 actual start of topic
11:07 to 11:57 importance of ‘ revision’
“Unknown exists side by side to known ,writing is a medium of expression for both but expressing unknown through writing is Art that is free & get imprisoned by following any rule & regulations.
Thank you for posting. Krashen and Monitor Theory Rock.
I didn’t know I wanted writing tips from Stephen Krashen, but here we are...
🤣
It is such a pleasure listening to you speak, Dr. Krashen. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I can see myself incubating ideas. You are more than welcome to do the dishes in Acapulco.
thanks for your generosity. I decided to watch all of your speeches.
Very enjoyable and good points. I got englush as a 3rd or 4th language from watching non dubbed tv in the 60's, plus reading PJ Woodhouse surreptitiously during religion class in school. I do most of my writing in English because the mind set of English works better for me than my native dutch. Exposure to multiple languages is great. My way of getting to them is travel by myself, youtube and books on subjects that interest me. Formal learning never did much for me.
Wonderfully informative, enjoyable, and engaging talk. Thank you for posting this, and thank you, Professor Krashen.
Thank you very much Mr. Krashen for these valuable tips.
5:34 I like his sense of humor. Though I've heard about him saying the mushroom joke in some other videos, it's still a good one.
Thank you very much for this video.
loved the video
So good! Thank you so much! It gives one hope. If we feel we lost our "sparkle" (in terms of writing), this is a good video to watch.
Thank you!!
