This is mine and my husband's song of 52 years. When we were dating, he would park and play it and sing Oh I Love You. Yes I Love You.In my ear and I would melt. And have to kiss him. Its been thirty years since my sister in law died at the age of 40 from breast cancer, she loved The moody blues so much. We played their music at her funeral and still cant listen to the band without crying. I hope she is in a better place, miss you hon.

When I first heard this I was 15 and honestly thought the song was about 'Knights' in white Satin 😂. It's a classic song that never becomes dated . The instrumental music is truly beautiful. I have still all my vinyl singles and LPs from 1964 to now , even though I've made a playlist of them and their original videos when they came onto the scene. Great times and sometimes some bittersweet memories of carefree , more innocent days , always come with them ... or am I wearing rose tinted specs ... no ... not all of the time 🙂

This is the most beautiful song ever written FACT! It was released two years before I was born. Ever since I've been old enough to enjoy music, I've been a fan of the Moody Blues. They're like a mini orchestra. But this one song transports me to another time, another place, another life ❤

I saw Justin 2 years ago in the war of the world in Cardiff. He is showing his age a little now but he still made me melt when he sang forever autumn. However NIWS remains my favourite songs of all time. Days of future past was one of my first albums (vinyl) and it was a mono recording ie not stereo. I am now 68 but feel 16 again when I hear it aahhh❤❤❤🙄

I can assure you I'm in my 60s and remember when this record came out - yes, a record, not cd or streaming. I suppose you believe people over 30 don't have sex and anyone who lives to their 60s is in a nursing home. You have a lot of growing up to do! I watch RUclips quite regularly and enjoy seeing bands I've seen live over the years, but then you've probably never heard of Led Zeppelin or any of the bands that influence the music of today.
We never grow old inside if we don't let the old men( woman) in :-)

It's quitting time & the fields are smokey from smoldering methane in a translucent, greenish haze as the sun sets across the windshield of my truck. Chilling with my best bud from HS - both of us covered from head to foot with black dirt while tapping a sixpack of Genesee Beer & passing what's left of a doobie - carefully preserved in the ashtray from the night before. Our faces are young. Not yet aware of the ravage brought by the years to come. "Nights in White Satin" comes on WKBW (Buffalo) on the radio. Every time I hear those wails on the guitar it takes me back & ... I'm 17 forever.

Yes, this song takes me back to 1973. I was 17. Even to this day…when I hear this song, I remember, I turned off the lights and lie in bed listening to this song that haunts me to this day. My boyfriend at the time had left to move away to college. He was gone out of my life. I was very sad.

Hands down the Moody Blues were one of the best at the haunting song genre. The singer's voice imbibes so much emotion into the song. You've done that emotion justice with these two young actors. Timothee was born to emote without words and Elle is like a diamond, so many sides (facets) to her. She's the flower child, the student, the debutante and the formal pink gown gives off Grace Kelly & old Hollywood vibes. She's been a fav of mine since the get go. The photography going from black & white to color gives it an "endless time span" quality. When the shadow & light play over Timothee's face - with that angulation he has going on - it's a photography/videographer's dream.
Now ask me how many times I've watched it??? LOL

I'm time traveling too it seems. Incredible song. I'm flooded with memories. I'm 65 now and have learned love is not a feeling but so much more. Its when you've been married for 44 years and know your spouse. All their issues, faults, and amazing qualities. Despite all of that, and all your own faults, issues and qualities you both still love each other. He died last Easter after 10 years with congestive heart failure. He took care of me and our children the majority of his life. I took care of him the last years of his life. (I miss you Pud)

I have loved the Moody Blues my whole life.
If you listen all the way to the very end, you will hear the actual end of the record crackle as the needle lifts off the grooves. I haven’t heard that in decades. When I hear Nights in White Satin, I time travel back to the late 70’s in high school. While the images here are nice to look at, they won’t replace the memories from back then when the world was a simpler place and all we wanted was Peace, Love and Rock and Roll.

It doesn't sound like any other 60's song. I've seen the moody blues live, and Justin live twice, and it was stunning, he hasn't lost this amazing voice....

I was just 14 when I first listened to this song at a huge hippie party in the late 1960's. I was shy but I had to ask what the name of the group was. Ever since I have been a fan, we had the best music and the best romantic times.
