I have not seen any use for custom roms in many many years. Sure, you can find a few useful features but you have to spend extra time fighting other problems.

After more than 50 different stock android ROMs flashed all the way through android 12, 12L, 13 and 14... I'm still glad I left miui. Never Going Back. Lol doing that is a guarantee that I won't even get android 15 (I use a Redmi note 10 pro) So I guess the major use/benefit of custom ROMs is: your phone doesn't get stuck on ancient updates simply because it's reached its EOL...breathe new life into that old slab. but of course for an enthusiast like myself though it's much more than just that.

@@ausarma8403 in Samsung you can disable all sensors. But this is not a sensors problem, it's a data problem. If you don't want your data to be used, don't use the services. There are ways to safeguard your privacy it just takes a bit of effort.

I usually run custom roms but I had insane performance upgrades with custom kernels on my p8p (10 -> 60 fps)
