Now that I've had a couple days to fiddle with this thing, I've definitely figured some things out.
The flashing green light.....it's the tempo that you've tapped in....Long press the footswitch, the lights turn a yellow, then tap in your tempo, and you'll notice the speed of the flashing change. Do something extremely fast or slow to see it more clearly. Then long press again to get out of the .....we'll call it the "delay edit" menu.
So....in the "delay edit" menu, the switch sets the time. The correction knob sets the feedback.
double tapping the footswitch does, in fact, turn the whole unit off. All lights go out, and it's in bypass.
plugging the unit in while holding the footswitch does change the routing...there are 2 options....the light will flash red or blue, depending on which one it's currently set as. One of them (can't remember which color applies to which setting) is full through. The guitar signal and your voice will be effected by the reverb and delay. The other setting is a dry signal for the guitar. I'm not sure if the unit actually uses the frequency of the guitar signal to determine the accuracy of the voice correction. I'm not such a bad singer that I need major correction, so it may just appear to be working chromatically, regardless of what I select.
I DO know that the voice correction is working, though. I recorded both the "corrected" signal, and a dry signal simultaneously, and the corrected one was a bit nicer to listen to. Additionally, while singing, and listening with studio headphones, I can definitely hear something working. I turned the unit off, and the dry signal was most definitely different than this just the correction on.
I was using cables I made with Neutrik Connectors, and Mogami cable, into an SM58, through a Behringer UMC404HD into Studio One.

Thanks! Good to know! That's a little too much to go through each night playing out. I will probably look for another option myself.

Might want to read the manual and learn how to use the pedal before trashing it. Half your review is about how you have no clue how to use the thing

Sorry if you weren't satisfied. It's over-complicated and doesn't sound very good, was my take.

Ok dude I’m sorry, but you missed all the functionality of this pedal. You do not have to run the guitar through pa. This is for people who can ACTUALLY sing and want a small bit of pitch correction. You should never turn a pitch correction past 20ish percent. If you’re a good singer it will do the subtle thing you are looking for. Lots of singers or church bands need that little correction for live performances or streams. And this pedal does exactly that for cheaper than anything else. Let’s be real. Lots of people think they can sing and 90 percent of them can’t. This pedal is not for those people.

Not sure why you'd watch a video on a product that you understand so well. I was just giving an opinion on the functionality, and how it applies to a shitty, scatterbrained singer in a shitty band. But nonetheless, that's what it's about, thanks for watching 👀 👍 🙏 😊

I just got mine yesterday.....to set the delay time, you have to hold down the foot Swtich to enter the "Secret menu" then you can use the foot switch for tap tempo...while in this menu, the "correction" knob sets the feedback. The "tone" button is suppopsed to set "bright" (blue) and "warm" (red) equalization.
As far as the guitar signal.....you can change the output "setting." I haven't tried it yet, but if you unplug the power.....then hold the foot switch while plugging it in, it will change the output setting....
Yes, the instructions could be more clear....but I found some reviews online that describe how to use it.

the reason I say I haven't tried it yet, is because I don't even know if the pedal actually does reference the guitar signal to affect the autotune function...I play at church, where we have autotune at the desk, but depending on who's running the board and streaming software, it tends to make things worse, rather than better, so I wanted an option that would let them be able to deactivate it there, so I can control my own output.
I've been confused by the blinking lights, myself....from what I've read, double tapping the footswitch is supposed to turn the unit off, completely and send it to bypass mode, but I've read that it's really tricky to get it to do that...your taps have to be "just right."
Using a condenser mic...well, I'd use one in my studio, so phantom power is useful. I only spent about 20 minutes with the device yesterday. I still need to get it set up and integrated into my pedalboard.
Maybe we can figure this damn thing out together.

@@TJEvans98 thanks man! I love the idea of it. I just don't think I would commit anything from this unit to tape. It was fairly pricy for the brand's reputation, I guess I was expecting a little more usability.

There are youtube reviews that answer all your complaints. This unit has tap tempo, repeat echo ajustment, and mix, or unmixed guitar/mic outputs. People have complained there is no volume level to adjust, but did they see what is on their electric, or electric acoustic guitar? Wow, a volume knob. The tone button has three 'equaliser' settings for voice.
I would considered this pedal (FV01) over the Mic Mechanic 2, as it has better features and settings.
Watch the review videos for the FV01 and you'll likely delete this video feeling silly.

There are a few comments on this very video that explain all of the way complicated features of this pedal. Too complicated and it sounds like junk. Plenty reason to never ever use this pedal! But thanks!

@@ROCKNROLLMODS Just a matter of getting to know it really. Most people that use these are solo performers that don't have FX mixers, or many pedal if at all. For that reason, it is a cost effective solution if one cares to learn it's manual to use it properly. I guess writing basic instructions on it might wear off, or be too small to read from above anyway. I is way better than the Mic Mechanic 2, as I have Rode M2 mics that don't perform optimal with the P24 that unit puts out. This one does the P48 and has correction to instrument note detection. How effective that is eludes me, but I'd still buy one to free up mixer FX for backup vocals. Both this unit and my mixer have tap tempo on the delay effects so they aren't out of sync. Both also have effect saturation / duration and on this unit, one uses the corractuon knob to adjust that when in the right edit mode.

Do you work for this horrible pedal company or what?
It sounds bad and is way overcomplicated.
Nothing that I would be interested in trying to remember To Do before a show. I'm sure that you can find more videos on my account to talk s*** on. Unfortunately for you I will not be conceding that this is some good pedal LOL it's not, it's junk. But I'm sure there's a video in which I am playing guitar or singing. Go there, tell me I should give it up. Those are the ones that really hurt. I will surely argue with you all day if that's what you're into

Thanks for watching! Merry Christmas! I have had several comments from people telling me how to do it. That's great, unfortunately it's not something I could deal with in a live situation. I was trying to review from the prospective of a guitar playing singer, as there's a guitar reference feed through. But dealing with other pedals, I don't have the time (or mental capacity) to tap the tempo as the drummer is counting in. Honestly a good slap back and maybe just a touch of verb was what I would have liked. Just keeping the guitar reference from feeding through to the pa was a process. And the nail in the coffin was that it just didn't sound good to me.

It's too much to deal with when you're also worrying about a guitar rig. The quality of the delay, reverb, and tuning, is lacking at best. If you're not a scatter-brained, unorganized guitarist/vocalist, like me, and you like the way it sounds, buy it! If you're not happy with my opinion of the piece, that's fine. Buy one. Make your own video.
