I find it very interesting that mold re-mediators are considered suspect if they also do inspection work. Isn't that kind of backwards? Wouldn't a professional re-mediator have more on-hand experience with where to find it? Just because someone provides both services doesn't mean they will offer both on the same property. Also... who is it really that checks the checkers??? Why do mold inspectors get a free pass on competence and knowledge of how to ACCURATELY identify primary sources of growth??? And finally... Why is it that mold remediation professionals end up doing inspection work... hmmm??? I'll tell you why... because when the inspector fails your clearance test and you (the re-mediator) ask them where the mold is, they CANNOT TELL YOU!... because they failed to identify the primary sources to begin with.... so they will respond with... "You are the mold remediation expert... you figure it out"
In my state of Florida it is illegal for a tester to perform any remediation on the property that was tested within 12 months of the test.

You need to remove the materials that have mold. Just simply wiping it off won't get rid of the mold
