Yes@@deangullberry5148 I'm well aware. I worked in purchasing for company that used to be based in Fountain Valley Ca. the "totally American made Flashlight" was assembled in the US from electronics from Taiwan and China. At most, the aluminum was sourced from US manufactures. Its the same for every "US" company that has a diode or a transistor in it.

I've carried an RMR type 2 RM06 on my EDC for the last 3 years, I live it, will eventually pick on of these up as well.
And FWIW honestly my current RMR auto adjust isn't too bad, I have to go up or down occasionally but its almost always usable.

I have the same exact RMR and it is a solid optic. I've dropped it onto concrete and it was fine. I'm gonna get an RMR HD eventually as well. i think its most likely the best pistol red dot ever made. I also have an SRO and I love how this has the bigger window but still the ruggedness of the RMR. I do not trust my SRO anywhere near as much as my RMR.

Why the need for 9 settings at all? Why not a mode to keep on the button while the brightness is ramped up and let go when one likes it within that range of brightness and save it as setting 1 or baseline to adjust within a certain 2-point range around that? I'm just asking why a low end headlamp can do that and no rds has it. If you have 9 settings, 3 of those NV...you got 6 settings which isn't much. Every Eotech has more.
The auto adjustment is great and the battery on top was needed.
