Mar-K produces excellent products in Oklahoma City. Great job of installation as I am sure their were times you felt like biting your lip. Good job keeping these classics going while looking better than new!
This video was extremely helpful. I really appreciate you taking the time and explaining /showing everything in such detail. You created a masterpiece.
I just wanted to thank you for a great series of videos on your C-10 restorations. I'm almost done with my frame-up restoration of a 66 K-10 and your videos were my go-to source whenever I had a question about something. Very helpful, and thank you. Good job!
Hey Good ol Boy.... That chrome really adds to the look. Great job. Must have been nerve racking waiting to get to that point. Great satisfaction getting close the end.... Awesome!
You ever get tired of framing work, you could for sure open a custom automotive shop and make a damn fine living at it. this is one of the best truck builds I have ever seen; your attention to detail is something else.
looking real good old but new truck, I'll be putting together my 66 fleetside long starting soon, and watching your videos has answered alot of questions, thankyou
Yeah I looked everywhere too I was just hoping there was a site I might have over look thanks for the info love your videos I will watch the door repair video several times before I attempt on mine
I stumbled onto your videos accidently,.....glad I did. You do very nice work. Your truck is frickin' awesome man. Thanks for sharing with the rest of the world. I hope my car turns out as good as your truck. Right on!!!! :)
Absolutely beautiful love the paint job also.I was looking for a video that would help me to put part of my trim back in my 63' Chevy Nova 4 door sedan. Its all original just bought it and part of the trim is popped off of the bottom trim .Any help much appreciated tks
I like the trim on these truck, but mine being a stepside did not have any. What are the odds of taking a long bed trip and bending it around the step fender?
You are so close, but you probably feel like your a long ways away because it's all such tetius work. One thing is for sure it is looking very nice. They say "Your Good ,Real Good and we mean Real Good" how do you feel about it??
Thanks a lot man I should be pretty close here soon still need to get wheels, bumpers chromed , and a few more things I'll be cruising this spring for sure
Nice job! Did you use seam sealer on the bed were the lower and upper section is spot welded ? Sorry for the off topic question but you mentioned using seam sealer on the front of the hood.
Do you remember the brand of seam sealer and any details about smoothing it out. I just started my 65 C10 a couple weeks ago. Your about 4 years ahead of me. Your truck has some really straight panels! Awesome work!
Can you tell me if your upper door trim has a slight crease in it about 2" back from the front fender? I received my trim from LMC and I complained that it was damage and they sent me 2 more upper door trim pieces but they have the creases too. I don't understand what the creases are for unless they are for slightly more door to fender clearance when the door is open.
I don't believe they make them for the 60-63 I looked myself I went to the junk yard and found a door and cut out a top patch, you can purchase the outer door skin for most of the bottom
@@Gibson63. right on Ty. I’ve never heard of them. We have truck stop, classic car industries and brothers trucks out in California. Any reason you went with that brand and have you ran Andy other brand before?
You can get behind just about every piece except for the door you can remove the panel and I used a needle nose pair of pliers some pieces have nuts and bolts on the ends so be careful prying them
You have to go through the back side with a pair of needle nose or pliers to squeeze the clip out, The door the same way you’ll have to take the panel off to do it
You sir are a true craftsman. I don't think I have ever in my 60 years seen better work.

Nice work!
When replacing bed trim how do you take off old trim I mean get the studs out of there holes? Truck looks great thanks for the video.
I use a pair of needle nose through the backside and squeeze The clip through
@@Gibson63. Thanks Gibson how about bed trim is it different?
very nice.
nice ride
harika bir iş tüm videolarınızı izledim tebrikler size..
good job man
I am putting same moldings on my 64 what hole size do you drill for the clips are they the same on the top and the bottom
Nice job! Did you use seam sealer on the bed were the lower and upper section is spot welded ? Sorry for the off topic question but you mentioned using seam sealer on the front of the hood.
Yes I used seam sealer down the seam of the bed and also on the bed rear tail lamp panel
Do you remember the brand of seam sealer and any details about smoothing it out. I just started my 65 C10 a couple weeks ago. Your about 4 years ahead of me. Your truck has some really straight panels! Awesome work!
+smith-models I used the dynatron no.550 used my finger to smear it in let dry, sanded with a folded piece of sand paper then I primed
Thank you!
Can't imagine what that new trim work cost, I know it's horribly expensive.
It was around $500 when I bought it
What size drill bit for those plastic clips
hott damn!
I have the identical truck and trim ready to go, does anyone have a paint template or at least the hole placement and sizes needed for the clips?
clean
nice
pay no attention to the tires? whos looking the tires? when you have all that pretty chevy to look at!!!!!!!
AWESOME1

misterted Yes the crease is made like that so the door can open all the way without denting it that is correct for these trucks
How did you get hole location?
What size drill bit
would you happen to know of any company that makes a full door shell for a 63 c10 I have only seen 64 and up
I don't believe they make them for the 60-63 I looked myself I went to the junk yard and found a door and cut out a top patch, you can purchase the outer door skin for most of the bottom
@gibson63 what brand molding kit did you buy ?
Molding kit came from MAR-K
@@Gibson63. right on Ty. I’ve never heard of them. We have truck stop, classic car industries and brothers trucks out in California. Any reason you went with that brand and have you ran Andy other brand before?
@@TheReill83 the molding is a lot stronger/better made in my opinion and it made in USA
where you buy em and how much
How long did this build take you. thanks Bill.
bill56ht2dr Around 5 years off and on
Do you know if the kit is for long bed or short?
This kit is for the short bed pickup
@@Gibson63. thanks I already ordered but I need for a long bed. You have a beautiful truck
Cómo los puedo comprar
Is there any easy way to get the old trim off?
You can get behind just about every piece except for the door you can remove the panel and I used a needle nose pair of pliers some pieces have nuts and bolts on the ends so be careful prying them
What was the measurements from top to bottom??
Mario Garcia after installing the trim it measured 3-3/8 from top to bottom
How do you take it off
You have to go through the back side with a pair of needle nose or pliers to squeeze the clip out, The door the same way you’ll have to take the panel off to do it
:)
I have a couple of projects if you are interested?
