I was on MSC the week before celebrating my 70th (day excursion to Paris to celebrate)! Loved the ship, food, entertaiment and excursions. I travel alone and love to see how other people see the same ship and watch their experiences in their blogs. I was born and bred in London but my parents are north Italian and I never saw a pizza until my late 20's and they were quite awful in London at the time in the 1970's when they started to appear in the UK!. It was not a regional dish of my parents so it was always polenta, risottos, and home made gnocchi, pasta and soups on the table and never ever a dessert! Maybe we'll be seeing you eating some regular Italian dishes other than pizza and pasta on this Italian ship? Super blog .. looking forward to the next one in the series.
Thank for your comment! Oh wow, we have never done the excursion from Le Harve to Paris! You have made us feel guilty for eating the Pizza. Hopefully we will not disappoint you, too much, in the rest of the VLOG series.
Thank you for your indepth and very helpful review. We are going on our first ever cruise on 13th December for the Northern Europe Christmas markets for 7 days. We too have an internal cabin not far from yours so lots of very helpful information. We are travelling from the Horizon terminal. Very excited, can't wait! Good to know about the upselling once on board as we got the cruise really cheap on a black friday deal. Not sure about the drinks package as I do like a glass of wine or 3! The drinks package would almost double the cruise price.
Thank you for watching. It’s certainly worth working out how much you will spend on drinks and seeing if paying as you go could work out better for you. We hope you have a great cruise
Suite (or is it Sweet?) Natured did a very positive MSC review I just watched. They had got a Yacht Club suite so v different to yours. They loved the food on board and lots of the details. Cruise Mummy did a review too of MSC and she commented about the children everywhere at all times - but that is a very continental thing. Children will prob have a siesta in Spain/Italy and stay up late with their parents so no babysitting problems. Not very ‘British’ (🤣) but a supremely practical thing if you want to enjoy an evening as a family. Looking forward to the rest of the vlog! Think my son might have preferred MSC to Arvia because of all the pasta and pizza 🙄
Ah, 'my' ship! Last november I cruised gor the first time. On Preziosa, from Rotterdam to Zeebrugge, le Havre, Southampton, (sea day) Hamburg (sea say) and Rotterdam. So nice to recognise so much. Yeah, that buffet, and indeed, almost always plenty of room at the aft! Enjoy the rest of your trip!
@@TomandDomTravel Aww thank you! I'm so sad that half of the clips went missing I do not know what happened, there's much more to come and I've made sure they've saved 😀
Hi there, Thanks for the video, we are looking to do this in January :) Can you say if the piped-in music is everywhere on this ship? I ask because we know P&O is pretty acceptable and they will turn it down if it's a bit much, but companies like Princess have a company policy of music in EVERY public area (including the corridors back to your cabin) which we got so wound up with. We have not yet cruised with MSC so are very interested in the ambience in public places. Any thoughts? Thanks, Tim :)
Thanks for your question. We can’t say we remember the music be particularly loud on Preziosa. Apart from in the Safari lounge. On our Virtuosa Cruise that was a different story with much more music around the ship
Enjoyed your first Vlog on MSC Preziosa , its going to be interesting how you find it compared with other cruise lines .We have always been a bit nervous to book as we have seen a lot of mixed reviews. I do hope you have a great time .
Thanks lads for the vlog on the ship, not been on MSC, we heard not good things about MSC. Looks very nice I must say, look forward to hearing about the rest of your cruise.
Looks like she’s a lovely ship! We’re getting a bit nervous about our next cruise which is on Virtuosa now though, don’t fancy spending our evenings queuing at the bar 😩
As a newbie we visited brugges and amsterdam on msc virtuosa in July. Thinking of doing another 7day cruise with our adult children, but have to be school holidays. How does the preziosa compare to the virtuosa pleaae? We prefer a casual cruise so dont think we are ready for a P&O cruise
Preziosa is more European in feel and more classic in style. We really enjoyed the ship. It doesn’t have the Galleria like Virtuosa . Iona and Arvia are much more relaxed in the P&O fleet and would be worth a try.
Hi guys I'm a new subscrober. Love thos vlog. I'm considering this ship for Northern Europe (as you did). Just wondered - re drinks package... did you have one? If not are soft drinks still included? Take care both and happy sailing Xx
Thank you for watching! Yes we had the Premium package as it was included when we booked. Soft drinks aren’t included unfortunately. Except for juices during breakfast.
Hey guys. Love the content here. Just a question do you know the difference on the deck plans between the square shaped cabins( not accessible ones) and the standard rectangle cabins. Just booked on Preziosa for next year and I’m on opale deck 12. Just want to make sure I’ve booked a good cabin. Or does anyone else know? Thanks so much. Hoping there’s not too many kids in the Galaxy disco. Not sure I like that😂
Thank you 😀 The square cabins look like they have a different layout. We have had a look online and cannot find any images of these types of cabins though. Deck 12 is a good choice as there are cabins above and below that deck. I’m sure you will have a great time onboard. Sorry we can’t be anymore helpful! I’m sure you’ll have a great cruise 😀
Thanks for getting back. I did find a pic on line they are square and have the bed up against the side wall in the pic. There’s a lot of spare floor space which would suit some people. Unlike the awful inside square cabins on P&O Iona and Arvia. I was allocated one of these and had to move. They are the worst cabin I’ve over been in. Enjoy your travels guys. 🥂
Great video again. I am thinking of an inside cabin as they are so much cheaper especially if you are travelling alone. Whats your opinion of inside cabins, as I have never done inside I have only travelled outside and balconies.
Thank you 😊 We can’t say we don’t like a balcony, but when you can get two inside cabin cruises for the price of one balcony cruise it makes complete sense! 😀 We have always found them to be great but we do use a sunshine alarm clock to lighten the room up before we wake up! The only real difference we have found is you tend to spend much less time in your cabin! Hope this was helpful 😀
I never thought I would be commenting on T&D Travels video while cruising on the Pacific Ocean up to Canada. Thank you for all your Princess videos as you were 100% spot on (Internet performance included 😢). The ship is totally full and adjusting to sensory overload. I thought your cabin looked spacious and the colors seem more muted on video. I know you will get to value for money at some point but am curious to find out how this cruise fared from a cost perspective. @13:31 Was the dining salon so full that night that the youngster was inches from Tom (appears that way)? Toddlers in dining rooms don’t always work well from an ambience perspective.
Oh wow that sounds incredible, thank you for taking time out for us 😊 oh good, well, good we got it right! We were hoping the Wi-Fi would have improved by now! We hope you are enjoying the cruise 😀 the cabin was spacious and had plenty of storage, take our word though, it was very orange! 😂 This was one of the cheapest cruises we had ever been on, total was £509 per person and included the premium drinks package. The only Criticism of the dinning room was the tables were very close together! Have a great cruise, we are not jealous at all 😐
Hi Eddy thanks for your comment 😀! We haven’t released our MSC VLOG series until today so we are a bit unsure about what you meant! If you could elaborate that would be great thanks 😊

What time did the shops open
@@JenniferPratt-n9k shop opening times will depend on Itinerary. In sea seas they are open all day
Another good watch Gents. The muster procedure seems weird to me. It's rather regimented for cruising holiday.
Thank you! we were a little confused by it all.

Thanks for the question. We booked through an online travel agent
@TomandDomTravel which one if you don't mind me asking. I don't mind booking direct but always like to see what deals are out there

MSC are nothing more than a Hop on Hop Off ferry……..
Thanks for watching. We can see why you think that as it’s true passengers change at each port. Costa do something similar on some of their cruises
Nothing like rehashing an old video to make a bit of money
