I don't understand the comment about "doing isolated vocals"? This is the vocal track from the recorded version of the song. There is a surround version of the album (with many channels) that was sold where the vocals are on one channel and so can be isolated in play. That's where this likely came from. The other way is by using relatively expensive software that can isolate individual instruments or vocals.
That's right brother, this song handles a lot of syncopation and it becomes complex without initial reference to the tempo, just the voice of Elton, keep practicing!

Many times, the center channel is mixed having vocals only, and so easily can be isolated. The other way is that there is relatively expensive software than can strip out individual instruments or vocals. One of those two were done here. For some reason, most of the people posting these isolated track videos don't reveal the method. I can only speculate it is because they want people to praise them for posting, and or hold them in high regard. Usually a comment to them is "Wow, you got the masters for this album? How did you get that?", which of course isn't the case.

No.. it can be taken out from an audio track using a specific app or programme. Artist usually don’t release only vocal version of their songs..
