  • Long story short, today I took out my new F-One #JAM1600 for a pump session.
Spoiler alert: it's an excellent foil for pumping!
After a two-month hiatus due to a spine injury from my last session in March, I was hesitant to try pumpfoiling again. I initially planned for a light wind wingfoil session today, but the wind was barely there-just 3-4 knots.
After some reflection, I decided to try a dock start with the JAM 1600/P200. The first two jumps were too slow and overly cautious. However, the third attempt was faster, allowing me to complete a turn, and then it was round after round of pure joy.
The JAM 1600 is fast, agile, and glides smoothly-arguably better than its larger sibling, the JAM 1900, due to noticeably less drag.
I managed each run for about a minute, but with better preparation, I could easily double that. However, I'm still cautious about my spine. I need to build better fitness, and then I'll explore what's possible with the JAM 1600. Stay tuned 🙂

Good to see positive feedback on the JAM 1600 ! People were pushing me like hell to buy an AXIS PNG 1300 but, having already a HM mast from F-ONE (I use the SevenSeas for Wingfoiling) it was much less expensive for me ... I am still a beginner and was afraid of doing the wrong choice.

No shim needed in my opinion. The JAM 1600 has a lot of lift for pumping. I put the mast all the way back in the tracks.

@@buenacloud weird i have to use a 1degree forward one on my neutral flat bottom, as the fone board got a tail rocker event for the rocket kite board.

@@youdigsurf I've also noticed a lack of lift in my wingfoil board. I find myself needing to position the mast at the very front of my US tracks for the JAM, while I use the SK8 foils and phantoms in the middle of the tracks. But for pumpfoiling on the short Naish Board I feel enough lift with the JAM.
