Thanks for sharing your trip! It may have been for work, but that looked like a very comfortable hotel with nice amenities. My brother lives in Germany and he found it a shock at things shutting down on Sunday. In his community the frown on even mowing your last n on Sunday. It is time to relax and be with family and friends. Such a great way to live life!

As a former Marriott employee The Residence Inn was our favorite I worked for a call centre the last 3 years worked from home and with a husband with health issues was a huge help to be close to Joe ! The hotel room at the Residence Inn was larger rooms Joe was a big guy we would take our old Hot Rod pickup to car shows and loved because could do all our meals in them a place to stretch out and relax after 8 or 9 hours at a car show each could have our own space Joe was using a walker the last two years and space was great for challenged persons for movement ! Ideal ! And walk in shower appreciated the staff always so accommodating for Joe appreciate they even helped put the walker in the back of the truck was very grateful !
I still love seeing people going away/travelling again after covid days ❤
HEY! I am an Australian who had a business in EU and USA and I stayed at the residence Inn in Cincinnati and I can’t tell you how amazing that hotel was. i had to live in USA for weeks at a time and the Residence Inn was truly my home away from home in a totally different culture; the staff were amazing, friendly and nothing was too much for them to sort out for me! I was based in LDN and had my business in Hull, Glasgow , New York and Cincinnati. We finished up last year in the UK and about 5 years earlier in the USA. what a whirlwind, and the RI made it so much easer for me. Well done, the RI are really a community service for workers on the road; as you know how hard it can be!
You fitted lots into your short break. I really like the look of Munich. There are so many beautiful places in Germany.

Munich is beautiful Iwan , I’ve been a few times and watched the clock many times but I haven’t been in a very very long time and seeing the beautiful space of what is basically an apartment not just a hotel room looks fantastic for a disabled woman like me. The sitting room for relaxing, the kitchen is bigger than the kitchen I have currently., the hidden wardrobes, the loo & and shower that will take a chair or stool me to sit on for a shower would be amazing. It would be exciting to go back again and stay in such a lovely hotel. It’s definitely on the list for days when I’m hopefully able to travel abroad again. Thank you for letting me escape for 30 mins, my sister died 2 weeks ago and I’m the only one left so as you can imagine it’s bloody difficult and the paperwork that I’ve gone through has been immense. She was admitted to hospital on 1st June and was dead on the 8th June it was so quick and I feel like I’ve been railroaded and I don’t know which way is up & I’m lost. Thank you Iwan @mrcarrington for letting me come with you on your business trip. Much love from Scotland 🏴 you don’t fancy coming up to empty 2 houses? One filled with Nicotine ( any advice is appreciated & welcomed) and the other is mine and is full of all my things & my husbands but mostly mine 😊

For the nicotine I think a bucket of warm soapy water and a dish cloth to wipe everything down & bicarb on carpets to absorb odour.

How wonderful is Munich? ….and wow that surfing in the park was amazing! I love how the shops are closed on a Sunday and everyone seems to just be relaxing and enjoying themselves. …just so nice. Munich is definitely going on my list of places to visit, plus I’m definitely going to check out the hotel / residency you stayed at too👍. Thank you for another fab vlog👍 x

And don’t forget that park where the surfers were is called English Garden. It is a tremendous park, one of the biggest city parks in Europe, and is bigger than Manhattan‘s Central Park. Glad you enjoyed it.
Great vlog! If you are in Hamburg again, I'd love to show you some hidden gems. Also I live in the tallest building in Hamburg on the 27th floor. You could get some great footage. I am a relatively new RUclipser, I'm Irish-Canadian and studied opera singing here in the 90's and taught piano and voice here and am now planning a solo concert here in August of musical, gospel, soul etc. Oh, KIK is a discounter of new items, great for struggling families since we don't really have charity shops. L'osteria is a chain, but love their saliciccia pizza. I saw the comment about not eating German food. Sorry to say, not normally great unless you know where to go. Here in Hamburg there is decent food at Gröninger Brauhaus. A really old beer celler. Lots of history. Also good food at the Hofbräuhaus here and in Munich. Hope to here from you.one day just to say hey.
Hamburg is a great city to visit. We used to live in the tallest building but that was in the 1970s so it’s probably been surpassed by many other buildings since then. Happy memories of Hamburg

My son and his GF are heading to the UK and Europe for 6 weeks from the end of August and have been busy booking transport, accommodation and planning their sightseeing. It was so hard for them to narrow down the cities they plan to visit when they have such limited time. There is so much to see in Germany and unfortunately Munich was too far south for them to squeeze it in. They ended up deciding on Nuremberg (for the history) before heading to the Czech Republic to spend a few days in Prague, then heading up to Berlin where they are meeting up with a group of friends for Oktoberfest. I was a travel agent many, many moons ago, so it’s been fun to help them out, but I’ve been getting them to navigate their way through most of the planning and booking as it’s a great life skill to have.

I worked in Munich for just over 3yrs. It's a fabulous city in both summer and winter when the Christmas markets and the summer/winter Tollwood Festivals are on - and of course there's the world famous Oktoberfest.
I go back from time to time, the last time being Sept 2023. We had amazing weather for that time of year and were able to have few wines in the same biergarten you were in - which, if it's just off Marienplatz, is probably in the Viktualienmarkt.
Hi , ewin , wow what a lovely well planned out digs the self contained flat is really planned well , the help your self is a really organised set up , and being able to wash your laundry 🧺 is brilliant, only thing is I wouldn't want to go home ha ha 👊👍 wow the surfing brill to watch how cool is that , I feel England is way behind with the times , or maybe me that doesn't get out enough , what a fantastic place I want to be there with you having a beer , and music , I feel sad we don't have weather and entertainment like that , and to have markets, it the organisation too , my late husband was in army he was posted in Germany, and he said you get your beers and they mark your beer mat and you pay at the end by handing in your beer mat , you was missing Luke when having beer I can imagine is big happy grin ha ha 😁 you 2 get up to cute mischief together , love to see you both having a shop and fun , ground coffee then smelly is fab , but I don't like to drink coffee , yum that salad looks refreshing, Do you know Ewin your such a smashing person always Enjoy your vlogs , you could be selling toilet rolls and you'd make it good ha ha bless you , safe journey where ever you go ,👍take care 😘🍀😻😻xx

Beer Gardens are great.
Farmers markets are not open Sundays.
No shops open on Sundays in Germany.. family day and day of rest.
"KIK" Is a great shop.. you would love it... also "TEDI"... kind of "pound shop vibes."
The architecture is absolutely fabulous. So jealous I've always wanted to see Munich n Berlin. Maybe one day.

My husband and I visited Munich two years ago in November. We thought it was a beautiful city and the Christmas Markets were so much fun. I would definitely go back 👍🏻. Thankyou for showing us around 😊

I have been to Munich on a bit of a grand tour and really enjoyed it. I visited it in its winter wonderland state.. I did love it. It is clearly beautiful and green in summer. Grate accommodation Mr. C.
oooh, nice to see you visit my native Germany. Munich is really lovely - lots of things to do, great food, good weather. You really made the best of your short afternoon-only visit into town. The town hall tower is one of the best (and cheapest!) things you can do in Munich. If you go again, check out the palace in the centre of Munich ("Residenz") and its garden/park next door. Very beautiful.

I enjoyed Munich when I went about 3 years ago. There’s a great TK Maxx that even sells Lederhosen! It also has locker powerpoints for charging your phones for free while you shop! 🙂

Omg is this a new concept - years ago we stayed in an apart hotel but this has amenities on site brilliant I say. Munich does it reminds you of Prague.?
