I love the different versions both of you have of the same outing. It isn’t Christmas until you watched the cocktail tour and the gift exchange!!!! Thanks for another great adventure!
Each video from the wonderful Mr. Carrington is like a psychotherapy session. You have such a soft, soothing, truly healing timbre of voice and such a polite manner of speech! This is something!
Historically, milk was added first because the hot water could crack the cups. Nowadays though, it's the norm to add milk after the tea, to taste (even the late Queen was 'tea first')
Oh I so want to go to Larry’s Bar now but I’ll just have to enjoy watching your trip there instead. So Christmassy watching your video, thank you so much ❤
My daughter in law got me afternoon tea and Prosecco in the Hilton in Glasgow for part of my Christmas last year, I used it last week, I absolutely loved it the staff were lovely everything was fresh and loads of sandwiches and cakes and the scones were still warm, I’d never done anything like that before, when we were leaving my friend asked for a doggie bag, the woman next to us told us to take the cakes they had left so we gave them the sandwiches we hadn’t ate had a good laugh with them, I don’t know how much my daughter in law paid but whatever it cost was worth it a beautiful and restful day was had by all , glad you had a great time also, Luke is looking so handsome I really like his glasses x💕🏴
This video was one of our favourites yet. We didn't stop laughing! How on earth were you both still standing and making sense??!!! 😂😂😂😂. Absolutely brilliant ❤
I agree, Nicholas Fairford would be shaking his head only because he would have edited that out! I do love his elegance but you and Luke are more like real life. Merry Christmas to all!!!!
Yes I remember seeing an etiquette expert say this. He explained that people used to put the milk in first so that the hot tea didn’t crack the cup if it is made of lesser quality porcelain. With that in mind, if you put the milk in first when you are out somewhere it is insulting the host by implying that their tea cup is subpar. Interesting 🧐
I love when you two do this every year! I look forward to it. You guys have so much fun together. It’s lovely to see. Thank you for sharing your yearly cocktails. Donna
Now I know it's Christmas!! You two...honestly🤣 'toothpaste cocktail, needing an err, stiff one🤔🥴and no free tickets for Luke...' what a fabulous video. Love seeing you both together, such good mates having great fun!
Hi Iwan, I enjoyed this so much! I just love you and Luke doing the annual Christmas cocktails, so much fun, I i hope you guys continue! Thank you so much for taking us along. I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and Holiday Season! Sending warm hugs, lots of love Kathy x 🎄❤
I watched Luke’s video first. No particular reason. I got the notification of his posting first. The first thing that popped out as I watched your’s was how professional and serious your video is. Very nice. And then there is Luke’s. I could have sworn you both had indulged in many drinks before you made Luke’s! But the fun and friendship came through in both videos. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I’m looking forward to more fun videos from you both.
Hi Guys, New subscriber from Australia (Cairns in North Queensland) for you, Luke and Kate. I'm binge-watching all three of your Christmas videos. Best Christmas content ever!!! in my opinion 😍 I had the opportunity to spend one Christmas in Europe in 2015 with a week's stopover in London the week before Christmas so was able to experience how London does it. Hope to get back to London/Europe in 2025 and maybe have a White Christmas. Wishing you and all your loved ones, kittens and all, a very Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year 🎉 BTW, its 30°C in Cairns right now 🌞☀️
I just watched a tea video from a lady from some country that used to be part of the Russian empire. So, in pre-revolutionary tsarist Russia, in the nobility, men were served tea in special glasses with metal - usually silver - glass holders, because a tea glass in a metal glass holder was considered more "masculine". And ladies were served tea in porcelain cups with saucers, because it was believed that thin, fragile porcelain with a flower pattern and a gold border was more appropriate for the "fairer sex".
Lovely video Mr Carrington and Luke. I love watching you both having fun together. Your afternoon tea and cocktails looked amazing and was very festive. You made me laugh when the tea pot spilled 😂😂. I was really surprised Harvey Nichols didn’t have a Christmas shop that would have really disappointed me. They have missed out on that. I was get to laugh watching you both. Have a lovely weekend ❤
The second "c" in Curacao is pronounced like the "s" in "sound." The liquor is named after the beautiful Caribbean Island of Curacao where it is made and originates from.
Loved watching the pair of you getting merry! Larry’s looked lovely! I’m hopefully coming to London next year with my mum to see the Tim Burton exhibition so I’ll pop it on our list!
This was so much fun. I just don’t know how you two aren’t so drunk. I’d be passed out . 😂😂Anyway it was so much fun watching you trying out all the drinks. 😊🇨🇦🎄🎄🥂🥂
Brilliant video🎉I couldn't spend 27 on a cocktail, though.Yes, go to Winter Wonderland and take us with you😊.Half Aussie!!!!,I didn't know that, and no accent ❤
Hiya Mr C. I did not know that you are ½ Aussie. Well there you go! Did you enjoy your pink Aussie cocktail? That one definitely sounded good! I enjoy these videos every year! Thanks guys x Nell.

You only pay for winter wonderland if you not booking anything like attractions..free entry if you spend £20 ...otherwise £5 to get in I went boxing day ons year early morning was nice and time got to afternoon we had dine most things and left while it was getting busy
I paid for my husband and I to have afternoon tea at a family run cafe in Plymouth in Devon. They made gluten free cakes, scones etc for me. It was delicious. Maybe one day I’ll try tea at one of the posh hotels. Love your videos. The charity shop hauls are brilliant, and give me lots of ideas for Xmas. 🎅tea is my favourite beverage.
Hi Iwan (and Lukel).milk was put into cups first last century...or before ,by poorer people as the boiling tea could shatter cheaper crockery......or so I have been told....James ❤❤
I'm with you and Luke liking savoury sandwiches best of afternoon tea, followed by scones with jam and clotted cream. I'm fussy with the jam too I prefer a blackcurrant one. Was that a dark rye bread with the beef? That would be great rare with a healthy amount of homemade horseradish!
The last time i went was straight after the pandemic lockdown and it was on the weekend, pouring as usual and coincidentally, i think Rhinna was there too.
Luke is looking very handsome, that hairstyle really suits him.
I love the different versions both of you have of the same outing. It isn’t Christmas until you watched the cocktail tour and the gift exchange!!!! Thanks for another great adventure!

Spot on!
Wow can't wait! You look great with facial hair btw Mr Carrington but I love Luke's look clean shaven. Both great guys.
So Christmassy watching your video, thank you so much ❤
My god Mr C, I’d be under the table if I’d drunk all those cocktails 😂😂😂
🥂🥂 Merry Christmas both! 🎄🎄xx
This is a tradition that we all look forward too🎄
My daughter in law got me afternoon tea and Prosecco in the Hilton in Glasgow for part of my Christmas last year, I used it last week, I absolutely loved it the staff were lovely everything was fresh and loads of sandwiches and cakes and the scones were still warm, I’d never done anything like that before, when we were leaving my friend asked for a doggie bag, the woman next to us told us to take the cakes they had left so we gave them the sandwiches we hadn’t ate had a good laugh with them, I don’t know how much my daughter in law paid but whatever it cost was worth it a beautiful and restful day was had by all , glad you had a great time also, Luke is looking so handsome I really like his glasses x💕🏴

@ rockwitch 2114 . Oh my I so agree with you no truer words spoken these two are so down to earth no airs and graces
Posh people put the milk in after the tea. I'm not posh but love watching videos on etiquette 😂.
Yes I remember seeing an etiquette expert say this. He explained that people used to put the milk in first so that the hot tea didn’t crack the cup if it is made of lesser quality porcelain. I got a tickle at the end when you told Luke “well you paid for the tickets now…you’re committed.”😂
I watched Luke’s video first. No particular reason. I got the notification of his posting first. The first thing that popped out as I watched your’s was how professional and serious your video is. Always look forward to The London Cocktails vlogs every year Mr C . Love how you and Luke bounce off eachother..😂 Chin chin 🍹🍸🎄🎁🎉
Open the lid of the tea pot if the spout is short. Everything looks lovely!!!!
Love your blogs around Christmas, watching you and Luke visiting various places in London❣️
Hi milk first to protect bone china and milk second for more sturdy cups. Happy Christmas
Y'all have gone so posh!😊 love it!
The milk in first comes from the days when porcelain was thin and it cooled the tin down so as to not crack the cup with boiling water
Yay! Christmas cocktails with Luke!! A perfect end to my very long week. I was having a cider while watching the video🤩🤣
Thanks for the grand outing in London and love the drinks in Larry’s
Lovely video Mr Carrington and Luke. I love watching you both having fun together. Your afternoon tea and cocktails looked amazing and was very festive. You made me laugh when the tea pot spilled 😂😂. Milk in coffee first and afterwards for tea.

Ah! The good life
In the 60s/70s when we brewed tea in the pot, milk and sugar went in the cup first...27 quid for a cocktail ,I'd want a pint pot for that ..😅
Hi Iwan (and Lukel).milk was put into cups first last century...or before ,by poorer people as the boiling tea could shatter cheaper crockery......or so I have been told....James ❤❤
❤️
Those prices are very reasonable - I paid £9.60 for a glass of Rose wine in a Harvester on Friday 😅
I've always pronounced the blue drink "kira-sow". Could be wrong too.
Hello handsome boys ❤❤
The last time i went was straight after the pandemic lockdown and it was on the weekend, pouring as usual and coincidentally, i think Rhinna was there too.
OO🤣🤣🤣Oh
I used to go to Winter Wonderland in the beginning. I feel like it got progressively worse. Or may be I've just become a grumpy old so and so 😅
Mr Carrington, posh people (and sensible ones) put the milk in last - it’s too easy to put in too much milk if you add it first …
