  • Mask pH 5
Small Batch for Short/Medium Length and/or Thin Hair
1/4 cup bentonite clay ( my source was Mountain Rose Herbs)
1 1/2 tablespoons coconut vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
4 1/2 tablespoons oat milk (or water)
1/8 teaspoon - 1/2 tablespoon plant oil (optional - I used baobab oil, try walnut oil, sunflower oil, sesame oil or other oil)
Larger Batch For Long and/or Thick Hair
1/2 cup bentonite clay ( my source was Mountain Rose Herbs)
3 tablespoons coconut vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
9 tablespoons oat milk (or water)
1/4 teaspoon - 1 tablespoon plant oil (optional - I used baobab oil, try walnut oil, sunflower oil, sesame oil or other oil)
Combine all ingredients and mix until well hydrated and the desired consistency you want.
    How to Apply:
Apply to damp hair. Spritz hair with water or hydrosol until damp. Part hair into sections, take some mask with your fingers and glide it onto the hair, from your roots to your ends. Apply mask onto your scalp and hair on the sides of your face. Option: Cover the hair with a shower cap to seal in moisture.
Allow the mask to set on hair for about 20 - 30 minutes. In the shower, thoroughly rinse mask out of hair, shampoo and condition your hair.

Is that a metal spoon? Now I’m really confused

Is that a metal stir stick? I thought we weren’t supposed to use metal with clay because it can alter the properties. Please advise.

i was saying the exact same thing. a metal utensil just defeats the whole purpose of the clay.

@@malaikangondi5962 Hi Malaika, have you used the bentonite clay for hair. If yes, please share the information. I'm also interested but I have some doubts

Yup! That's exactly what I was thinking. I'm actually wearing a bentonite face mask right now and I used a glass bowl and silicone spatula to mix and apply it. 😊 has anyone tried making a toothpaste with this yet? Omg just one use and I'm blown away with how it removed so much staining from my teeth ❤🎉🎉

May I ask what is it that you're using to mix this hair mask? If it's metal, you should know it's actually reducing the effectiveness of the mask.
