Hi Steve, very helpful as always but it's very important to ensure the fuse taps are installed the correct way round as one side is for the power and the other for the load, incorrect installation leaves your accessory, yes as Matt says, double fused and overloading the primary fuse. Peter
Thank you Steve for this series. I have the full system with all goodies in my V8V since last year and your videos are very helpful to get a clue where all is installed. Thank you for all your work 👍🏻
15:12 woah. Whether the fuse interferes with something else isn't the primary concern for which way you put the add a fuse in. You need to know which connection is live and put that on the power bus leg. If you put the add a fuse in the wrong way, the new circuit is doubly fused and is drawing power thru the lower fuse as well as the upper and possibly blowing the fuse.
Yup, F'd up and forgot to consider that. Going back to check. Need to probe out the feed side. I may need to flip one of the connectors. At least one will likely be double fused at the moment if the feeds all come from the same side. Thanks for the heads up from the viewers. I make mistakes like anyone.
@@LiqdPT I was wondering if they made extenders to solve the issue. Where/what did you get? BTW, I added a text overlay to the video pointing out the mistake. I'll make a quick video to address the issue once I solve. I have to work out the feed side, guessing it might be the upper port? Volt meter will answer that on the weekend.
@@Aston1936 I don't remember which way, and I think it flipped on me, though I have a Vantage so I'm tapping slightly different fuses. I don't know that youtube will let me put in a link so I'll message you on facebook

Yes, on my vantage the reverse couldn't be installed the correct way (there were other fuses in the way) so I had to add an extender.
Brilliant, Steve. 👏👍👌
Brilliant

You’ve got to put the piggy back fuse holders in the right way round. It does matter on the power take off.

@Aston1936 I ended up needing to add an extender to my reverse fuse to make it fit. I don't love that solution, but it is what it is for now.

Excellent work
4:05 unfortunately I've had to extend my reboot button to be more readily accessible as I need it reasonably often mid-drive
