The instrument he plays at 0:30 is actually a woodwind, although I can see the confusion because it doesn't sound like any western woodwind instruments. This is because it uses a quadruple reed.

It looks like a Shehnai, which is an Indian instrument, which would make sense because all the instruments he was playing previously were also Indian instruments.
More specifically Carnatic, or South Indian music.
