but the idle valve electronically is there any cable to which it should be connected or should only the pipes be placed without any electrical connection?
apparently routing your ccv from valve cover to that extra hole on the side of dipstick creates too much pressure? just from things ive read online, do you have any problems with yours setup that way? your way looks cleaner and a better solution than creating extra holes in my m50 manifold or having a catchcan.
With E90/E60 manifold apparently you can have full functionality of M54 oil systems, DISA etc. Everything will work as intended, and also it's a better breathing manifold. What I heard, anyway.
Great vid will be doin this hopefully in the next month, In your Seemslegit kit what did it come with I’m trying to figure out what parts I really need .
I noticed the IAT plug is center on the M54 manifold form the fuel trail harness, and on the M50 it’s in the corner far back. Does the wire reach? After watch fing about 30 videos on a m50 swap on an e46. The steps I personally need are never covered. Such as reinstalling all the plugs. Most of the videos said it was all keyed but that is 100 percent not true which I found out the hard way.
the port size on the m50 manifold is about 60% bigger than the m54, after tuned correctly there is no change in low end torque but there is a very noticeable difference in top end torque. It honestly feels like a little turbo setup that kicks in at 4k.
@@Rurik_JustCruzn cool im in the process of doing this M50 swap to my M52tu and im a lil bit confused on the vacuum hosesThank you for making this kind of videos!!!👍👍
@@daikoku9747 I was told you can run a hose from the m56 to a old m3 boot with the 2 ports one for the icv and one for ccv although what i found is after many years you'll probably have to replace the boot from oil vapors
I believe mine went right in. I recomend using new o rings. You can you sil-glide to safely lube the o rings before install. Don't use too much though.
@@Rurik_JustCruzn great, I managed to get mine In, kinda scuffed but I rolled the o rings out of the groove they sit in but just before they need to be rolled into the groove. Another question about wiring, did you find a way to get the throttle body connected? I have stretch the shit out of the cable and I still cant get it on.

Did you run the evap or get rid of it
Did you have to program the throttle body cause it's sitting upsidedown?
Hello! The plugs to ICV are 3/8 ? BSP, UNF or NPT?

Bro same here I need to find out what to do with the purge line that comes
Off the heater core thing. But mine is close to finished T GOD
what about the intake sensor
No porting?? Are fuel injectors correct type?
Is the throttle body hose different sizes on each side
Any issues with no oil catch can? Loos like you went straight back into the oil pan from the valve cover
I haven't had the opportunity to drive the car very much so I haven't noticed any issues. I may add one in the future.
@@Rurik_JustCruzn How did you end up setting the ccv up?
Wow so nice .... can you say what the difference will be I mean will be there some power??

Did you had to returne the ecu for it to start
The car started but I had to feather the throttle until the car realized the disa valve was missing. It will need to be retuned
what size plugs did you use in the tapped intake holes?
I do not recall. I do remember that the plugs were a SAE / Standard US thread and were included in the kit.
What about the vacuum hoses
In the next video, I will touch on the vacuum hoses after the engine has been installed.

Which icv are you using with the conversion?
Stock m54 icv
I have a m56 valve cover wanting to retain the ccv where would I put a hose with the m50 conversion
Im looking to do the same thing, have you found anything?

How the fuck did you get the M54 injectors to fit the manifold? I put new o rings on my injectors and they just won’t fit! How did you get those in?

flip the t.b. over , connection pointing down
No port matching? = Epic FAIL!!!!
Agreed. The ported first head I had for this engine and later found out it was bad. I didn't feel like doing for a second time.
Why do you say it was wrong? I would like to know what was that bad experience with the ported
