Did you replace the bad drive with a good drive? or replace the good drive with another blank good drive to back up the second?
I'm a little confused sorry. The position of the drive you replaced is drive 1 but it shows at the start of the video that drive 2 is failing.
Any clarification would be appreciated, I'm just about to do this replacent

Thank you for your attention. The video demonstrates the principle of the hard drive replacement procedure. Also shown what actions to perform in the DSM operating system after changing the disk physically. It doesn’t matter which disk failed at you 1 or 2, the procedure is the same.

Hi im still confused about one thing, i dont own a synology nas yet and planning to buy one and i've been looking on what to do in case of failure etc. Let's say i'm using SHR like what you used here, what about the data and photos that you had on the failed disk? Does it automatically get transferred to the new disk that you replaced it with? thanks in advance! @@developakr

@@christopheralim6528 Hi. The NAS shown is is the DS220j (DS-Desk Station / 2 is the number of bays and the 20 denotes 2020 build. There is now a 2023 version which follows the same format.
I have one of these devices. I purchased it with 2 x 1TB drives configured in an SHR but after some time, I decided to increase the disk pool capacity to 4RB in an SHR with 2 x 4TB disks.
There was nothing wrong with the 1TB disks but I decided to change anyway.
The DSM software makes it very easy to replace the disks which you do one at a time. It doesn't matter which disk you change first if both are OK but if you have a failing disk, that one should be changed first. The DSM software rebuilds the RAID after a disk is replaced. Dependant on how much data is atored, it can take some time to rebuild (in my case
