Quick Update for you all! I had the opportunity to meet up in person and talk to a few ATOMOS peeps at NAB 2022! In short, if you are out of warranty on any of the newer monitors that use proprietary screens like you are pretty much out of luck on getting service unless you're in your warranty period or have an extended plan with them. They stop production on replacement components after a few years into production on certain models so once they are out of replacement parts there is no way to service them. So they recommended that if I had an older component to just buy a newer model. I know a lot of you are looking for budget ways to save money on your units so this is a bummer!
How did you find out what screen to use for different versions. I have a 7" Shogun Inferno. I purchased a 7Inch LCD Display for ASUS Google Nexus 7 FHD 2013 2nd Gen A7N7 Screen Display f8 off of ebay and the screen is not the right size for my monitor.
💡 If you know of any other screens for other atoms devices please drop a comment down below! I've gathered as much information as I could to help the community of ATOMOS owners.
Hello Seez, that's wonderful ,I have the Atomos shogun and same problem like you, but the link to buy the replacement screen is no more active, can you reccomend another one please.Your video is awesome the explanation to repair is very clear.
As of right now and based on the images I received of a unit taken apart it seems that they are using a proprietary display. I have yet to cross reference the display to anything online
Hi see, i got issues with the touchscreen of my Atomos Shinobi. It just jumps from fuction to fuction (false color, histogram, then aspect ratio…) it is crazy as F to work with it. I got it second hand so although it is in warranty already, the wont fix it. Do you know anything about this one? I know you probably won’t do a video on it but, where could i find the proper components to fix it my self?
Hii and thank your für your great video. I have a question. You wrote in your caption that the ninja V use a HTC... display. I am looking for a HTC panel, but HTC has his navigation "button" outside his display. If I import the panel in Ninja V i have the navigation on the right site. On your example in the video the navigation is in the display. Have you an alternative?
Hey man - Thank you for your tutorial above - Really need a bit of help and you seem to know the unit well. I rented a Shogun Inferno from a rental house for the job but the power cable supplied seemed to pop the power board on it. Do you know what power board is used on these units and where i could get the part from? Do you have a schematic of the elements inside? Anything you could do to help would be huge! Cheers
Hey Sam! I have screen shots from the video i can send over you you along with the info on the board. The main guts did look proprietary from what I can remember (ATOMOS logos on the board) my email is in my about section on my YT channel.
Hello. Thanks a lot. I have the very first shogun that is un usable because stopping whyle recording. It is as if it would be overheating. Mybe there is a way to renew termical paste as we would do for a dessktop. Any tutorial that the community reading would know ? or a recommandation for service ?
If you pause at the 3:54 mark you can see the thermal pad and the 2 screws used to mount the heat sink. It's probably possible to receive over it and replace the old thermal paste or pad they used!
So its confirmed that the latest ATOMOS monitors use proprietary screens :( My self and another international viewer tried to see if you can source the replacement screen through them but they will not ship out replacement screens to unauthorized repair centers. So it looks like you will have to go through ATOMOS to repair this screen. This is why #righttorepair is so important. if your out of warranty chances are they are not going to be able to help you either :(
This is great, Unfortunately, I had a situation with my Shogun Inferno. Not screen related but the SDI Port not working (only the HDMI port works) ATOMOS answer was that it's now a legacy product and they cannot repair it. Just but a new model that costs: $1K
My Shogun Inferno just randomly cracked its screen. So annoying that I cant just get it repaired when the newer stuff doesn't really do exactly what it does without buying additional accessories. I dont want to have to buy a new Atomos and then another doohicky to attach SDI. Ugh.
Can you tell me which screen I use in Atomos Ninja V? I took mine apart to see the screen and the flat cables are not the same as the screen in the description. Would you help me?
Hello, I have two blocked pixels (two red points) on my GH5 visible also when i watch my recorded vidéo ... How could i repair that and do you think i can do it by myself ? Thanks for your answer ...
Are you positive these are dead pixels and not a dirty sensor or dirt on your lenses? The only way to repair this issues is to replace the sensor. There is a work around though in post that you can do to mask the dead pixel and a Gaussian blurr

I used HDMI 4k signal, but when I switched back to SDI - No Input. Please help Seez :) - I'm in Los Angeles
Yea this sounds like more of possibly hardware that’s failing. Since there is no public schematics of any ÁTOMOS products you may have to resort to buying a replacement or finding someone with the technical knowledge to see if you just need to re-solder or replace the sdi connector on the board. As you can see in the video the sdi connector is attached to the board so your going to have to take the unit apart to exam and see if it’s physical damage that happens over time of just using the sdi port.
