I could see Darkrai Vstar be the item support for this to bring the mochi card back then do more damage that existing turn haha orrrrrr we could see some fantastic performance with the combo of Kyurem, water/dark combo with the loyal 3/pecharunt to counter lost box decks

Don't stress it, just have fun! If you can go a little early, do so and see if someone is willing to teach you the basics of IRL play while you're there. In general, prereleases are pretty casual, but every event has its tryhards. Also, don't forget a fresh box of deck sleeves, damage counter/coin flip dice, and your Poisoned/Burned markers. You'll want those while playing!
The same would have been true of Digimon in its early days, too. Unfortunately, Bandai proves time and time again that they don't *really* know what they're doing, even if they seem to be able to get great game designers to design their games. They just crank something out and kill it with whatever they want to drop next 3-5 years later.
