That is lovely! It is also a ringer for the last bike i owned except i fitted a pair of viper cans on mine which sounded amazing. Definatly not neighbour friendly at all. Sold that bike about 22yrs ago. Thanks for the upload.
Most most welcome , what a perfect timing of this comment , I was just in the garage cleaning it :) .. I bet you miss your bike , I wish I had a double exhaust on this one , preferably yoshimura but they are so rare now
It’s lighter than it’s counter parts from that era but definitely tad heavier from today’s standards but an absolute out and out race machine for the road I hope you brother kept it They have started to appreciate :)
Love the 1100K 👍🏻 am a big fan of oil cooled GSXRs, have a special Slingshot myself. If the charging system is working well, you can use a lithium battery, mine's been on for 9 years and has worked perfectly. Good lithium batteries have circuitry to help protect them and as you'll know, you can leave the bike for months without a trickle charger......plus they weigh the same as an empty box !
@@nickrider5220 you are spot on , about 5 people have told me since the video that lithium are ok , wish I went lithium way , I’ve got that on my race bike and it’s been superb So glad you have a special slingshot Lovely comment Thank you
Love this bike, beautiful mate. I'll have it when your bored with it. You need to run it for 5 mins with fuel stabiliser in it. Shell or tesco is best fuel.
thank you mate , I will surely let you know. Yes, you are spot on , I need to run it a bit more to see if it runs ok.. I love shell , thats what I use in the race bike but a few people said Esso 99. But its ok, plan is to ride more and keep it less in the garage lol
Honestly, I was so tempted to put in the lithium battery but I didn't in the end, but I really really wanted to , there's such a huge weight difference .. by the way the GPZ900R is my absolute favourite alongside the CBX1000 6 cylinder

Add a bottle of Forte Advanced Fuel Treatment, run it through and it should sort it. I had a Slabside that stood 10 years, and a bottle of Forte sorted the it. Great watch by the way. 👍
Definitely, I have used it for the last 15 years, got a R1 4xv been stood 6 years, bottle of Forte in it, starts first time every time, even the same fuel in it from 5 years+. Recently started my SP2 that had been stood since 2013, started first time then started spluttering and running on one cylinder. Bottle of Forte sorted it. I put a bottle in the tank, give it a shake and run the bike for 5 mins and leave it to sit for a day or so then start it again for 5 mins and leave it again. You will gradually notice improvements and finally clear. It may clear sooner.
@@1karwah wow, cheers for the detailed reply I got a day off tomorrow, I’ll get a bottle of that , can’t do no harm any how. What you are saying makes sense . I do use the forte on my old 1993 Audi 80 cabriolet and it’s brilliant

Yep, carburators need cleaning (or a rebuilt kit, at worst 150€) and the required syncro. Happens if it's stopped for too long. Then it'll work like a swiss clock. 😉That's an awesome (time!) machine.
