I was speculating a trade where we send you Crochet and Fedde for a couple of your prospects, where Fedde acts as a back-end starter and Crochet works out of the bullpen this year for you guys since his innings cap is quickly approaching, any thoughts about that?
Remember Rodriguez to the red Sox for Miller? How about Arrietta to the cubby’s for some guy (can’t even remember the loser’s name)? I’m still angry about those trades. Fedde would make sense though.
I watched Fedde for years when he played for Nats. He was an average pitcher but somehow found something last year when he played in the KBO. Which wouldn't be the first time an average MLB pitcher suddenly got better after playing in Korea. I think Merrill Kelly is the biggest such success story. But I want the O's make a bigger move, possibly involving both Fedde and Crochet. I know Crochet will have an innings limit this season but he would be a dynamite reliever/closer for this season. Kind of like what David Price did for Rays years ago.
