Check out details on what and where we ate in the info box above. When are you booking your trip to Vung Tau?
Best Ever Food Review Show Dude, I was living there for 11 years now and I didn't even know that you have came to my city! I didn't meet or see you but good luck with your next trips!
If you did it almost in every party it just go easy. Trust me 😂 Beside, i love the moment put lots of food in my mouth in once and they mixed pecfectly together
I hate watching your show because it makes me feel hungry but I do it anyway because it's so enjoyable. Thanks for all the effort you put into it and for making a lot of people happy and occupied.
Bánh Khọt is one of the special food in vungtau where is my hometown.. I hope you can taste bánh bông lan trứng muối ( small cupcake witj salted duck egg) .. this is a famous dessert in Vt.
That looked so delicious! I love shrimp. Yes you were right about the dining experience at a restaurant! Where you said interacting with the food, friends, learn about the herbs? Amazing. I have been watching your videos about three weeks now and have enjoyed watching you so much. Now, i have Subscribed to your Channel thumbs up my friend. Great Experience of a Lifetime you will never forget! If my poor stomach was strong enough,I would love to experience a bit of this.Continue On!!
you're guys are awesome, being vietnamese American, this makes me so happy to see others embrace my heritage and culture, especially the food! I definitely have a foodie crush right now lol keep up all the great traveling "work" and enjoy!
Hahahaha I loved the way you compared the dining experience in the US vs VN. So funny but true! I just started watching your videos and I'm already hooked. You're one funny man. Btw Andrew's Vietnamese is pretty good. You should learn from him 😊
Had to come back and watch some of these old ones. It has been really cool binge watching these and watching the show improve but these older ones are great.
Very good food nice place for food and lots of nice fruits healthy food thank you for sharing good video love them all happy eating thank you for sharing good video.
Who else is on Sonny's best ever food review marathon now? I hope I can invite you to visit our place in the Northern part of the Philippines because you are always visiting the south.
Just tabbed on ur food reviews randomly😵😵😵😵 when i was you tubing now it has become addiction gr8 job dear u make everything so interesting to watch ...😄😄😄😄
Sonny, 10 thumbs up on your perspective about VN dining experience (even street food) being more interactive (with food and people) at VN meals. I get a big kick out of your description of a typical dining out in the US, but you forgot about the mandatory 15% - 18% tip for the phony smile and gratuitous name introduction. BTW, for those that haven't been to VN, you can't imagine how "fresh" is fresh, we're talking about vegetable or fruit that was picked tree ripened probably that morning or 2 days ago, not shelf ripened. Take care and thanks again for your videos.
This is awesome because you give all dishes a try and we all know they are damn good. Pho and Banh mi are all over the world, but a trip to Vietnam can be an exoticly and amazingly good food trip if you know where to eat and of course if you dare! Thumbed up!
Vung Tau is my hometown .... and you are absolutely right, nowhere you can find banh kho is that good.....though the place you visited is a bit overkill in term of oil being used.
I totally rem eating this...we ate loads in vung tau..its a swell place...very cool! You are so right about the diy exeperience thanks for mentioning ..good point well made!
your food review videos are looking more and more professional each time--with the good humor of course. I love banh khot. it's the same thing as banh xeo but in smaller, easy to eat, form 👍👍
this is one of my favorite food review episodes you've made so far!! Banh Khot is one of my ultimate favorite dishes. I nearly cried watching you assemble and take a bite out of it. I hope you'll try Cha Ca Thang Long (Hanoi Style Grilled/Fried Fish) it is soooooooo good!
The reason why we eat banh xeo or banh khot with greens is because in order to get to that level of crispiness we use alot of cooking oil to fry it, so if you just eating it alone youre not gonna want to eat alot because its really greasy and oily, but if you add a little bit of greens and papaya it will make the foods taste more refreshing. Also it's good to have greens in your meal anyways so youre getting all the nutrition your body need.
Love your vids keep em coming! I'm from California and have spent several months alone in Thailand and Laos, and I know what you do takes a lot of guts. So fun to watch. Props to Andrew also I need an Andrew! For next years vacation it will be my honeymoon, we will start in Bangkok because I know it well, and then I want to fly from there to somewhere easy and exotic - perhaps that's mutually exclusive but do you have any suggestions?
Ed van der Schalie I'm in Houston, China town here has everything. I've been to Vietnam a handful of times and can say we have the real deal. If ever Sonny comes here I'd show him all the spots.
Ikr, Vietnamese foods are interestings, assembling whatever you like and adjusing the tastes (sweet, salty, sour, spicy) according to your preferences.
"lấy cho 2 chai nước suối" wow, that was so accurate!! And so very true when Sonny compare the Apple Bee's dining experience...so boring and overpriced
Sigh… I want to visit the motherland so bad. The food looks ahhhmazing!!! I love me some banh khot! Btw… youre better than me, I’m afraid to eat that fish herb. 😆

The Vietnamese are the masters of the art of wrapping and rolling.
so true! :)))
Yup! You got that right. I can roll a bad ass blunt.
you want a roll of "herb" by the masters? :))
Chào các bạn
If you did it almost in every party it just go easy. Trust me 😂
Beside, i love the moment put lots of food in my mouth in once and they mixed pecfectly together
i really like your show. i have shared it w/my children. i like your style. you keep your show clean enough that older kids can watch it too.
For sure. When my friends told me their kids watch, I had to take out the swears. Still plenty of innuendo though. :p
@Pod agree with the first part. Not sure what children have to do with swearing. Does the FCC regulate RUclips?
@Pod Lmao

Riaz Uddin the only reason im still here lol
Travelling to Vietnam without trying this dish is missing out on an opportunity to taste one of the most delicious Vietnamese street foods.
Vietnamese Cuisine is all about balancing the flavours and always stay fresh
Bahn khot looks delicious. I'm love Vietnamese food and seem like every dish have green in it.
I hate watching your show because it makes me feel hungry but I do it anyway because it's so enjoyable. Thanks for all the effort you put into it and for making a lot of people happy and occupied.
Dont dip it in the sauce and wrap it. Wrap it first then dip it so you don't wash the shrimp dust off.
Campbell Cutler wow, you did it the right way
Andrew is the expert of the dish. Simple and fresh ingredients, but it's incredibly delicious!
Man that was the funniest yet mate! And that food looked incredible. Keep it up man.
Bánh Khọt is one of the special food in vungtau where is my hometown.. I hope you can taste bánh bông lan trứng muối ( small cupcake witj salted duck egg) .. this is a famous dessert in Vt.

Hahahaha I loved the way you compared the dining experience in the US vs VN. So funny but true! I just started watching your videos and I'm already hooked. You're one funny man. Btw Andrew's Vietnamese is pretty good. You should learn from him 😊
yeah he's good when he called him "anh" not "em", and he can eat spicy red chili, that's impressing.
Had to come back and watch some of these old ones. It has been really cool binge watching these and watching the show improve but these older ones are great.
I always smiles and laughs when I watching your video..love them all!

This gem of yours makes me miss home so much. It's true you can't find banh khot as good elsewhere in the country.
