The worst part is that Baseball Card Exchange verified it as authentic. I don't know how you restore faith in your company after something like that.

The most expensive pack I oppened was approx. $25,(Since im a new collector) luckily they were real. Anyways rip to your $275.

Love how the “authenticators” were quick to say “We ALL got duped. Agreed?” Like no, they got duped because YOU and YOUR company put YOUR seal of approval on a box you knew nothing about. The first guy would not have paid $2.7 million if they hadn’t authenticated it.
So no, everyone didn’t get duped, Baseball Card Exchange. You did. Logan and the other guy took you at your professional guarantee that this box was real.

The authenticator guy had no idea what he was talking about or was in on the fix. I work in shipping, specifically at a label factory at that and it’s common for labels or tape to get worn into the box in the mail. One day in ups hands and you’re packaging could look like that. Oh and we could make those labels right now lol

rich people do it all the time, since most collectibles actually appraise in value over time. Its called an investment. Paintings and high end cars are just for that.
the fact that a major point of the owner of BBCE is that "the wear on the label is consistent" is a massive red flag. if you get a box, put a label on it, then rub the box against another piece of cardboard for even 15 minutes, you will get the exact wear he is talking about, even though he says its basically a 100% guarantee its original. all that wear can prove is that the label hasnt been removed, which is why we would do it before shipping guitars that are worth 10-15k when i worked in a guitar wearhouse.

As an Amazon driver who sees labels daily. They embed into boxes from stacking and weight. I deliver packages that have been labeled a day prior with embedded labels. That's not a good indicator.
The company who verified it was “legit” should also be held accountable.

@@porcojerme.336 thats why its hard to verify cases. You wont be 100% sure its real until you open it but opening it takes away some of its value. Part of the reason why stuff like this is very controversial.

I don't know how you authenticate a box being real without looking at previous examples of old-school pokemon boxes. If they did that they would have seen so many things wrong with this box. That alone makes me never want to trust this "Authenticating company".

There needs to be stricter prosecution on stuff like this. I have a guy locally trying to sell a base set box for $350.. While we all know its fake he will probably get someone.. I really wish there wasn't so much fake stuff out there. In my eyes theft is one of the worst crimes and theft by deception is even worse. You are literally taking money from someone that worked hard to earn it. There is nothing lower in my opinion. I was always brought up knowing you are only as good as your word.
I find it so interesting that the other guy just bought that even though the guy selling it had an inconsistent story. I guess I can’t relate to having that much disposable income and then not checking the boxes 😅

I'm Canadian, and it sucks to see that some of the fakes are coming out from here. Luckily I have a card shop really close to me that I've been buying from the last couple months and nothing has seemed sketchy about it, and also I have a Gamestop 20 minutes away that I get from sometimes. But honestly it's seeming like the fakes are just vintage packs which isn't that surprising. I mean, everyone wants their hands on some vintage Pokemon cards and every place is gonna have some people who sell fake ones.

1991 G.I Joe cards go for 11$ a pack pack. 1986 card packs I don't know what they go for. A case from 1987 600$ US.

"We all got duped." -- for so many reasons. The authentication company only authenticated that the box was sealed. Not the actual wrapper - which looks to be modern and not from that era. Not the markings on the box, etc. Just that the box was sealed. Yes, it was.

No BBCE authenticated the box to be real and sealed from Wizards of the Coast. The owner of BBCE said it's real and legit. Not just that it's sealed.
As a Canadian that has boughten vintage WOTC within Canada I can say it really isn’t all that bad. You just have to be incredibly careful regardless, I don’t know how Logan didn’t know this was fake months ago or get it verified before paying. Another good video Rev, gotta deal with people like you who know what they’re talking about!

There has to be a way to trace it back to its origin. Or even the seller with a lawsuit. Plus the authenticators should verify all of the contents on a purchase of this size of dollar amount.

Listening to these guys talk about the Stop Tape and labeling on the box to justify why it was authentic is painful, and as if those two thing's can't be replicated by anyone with a thermal printer, 10$ to spend on amazon and the ability to heat & throw a box around and make it look aged.
It took a youtuber literally a few hours to notice that the tape was inconsistent with other cases and that almost every part of the label, including its fade, size and contents were off and all he had to go off of was still images and videos. Yet, these guys that verifying millions of dollars of materials even outside of this case we're easily fooled and just put their stamp of approval on it for a quick sale. It's pathetic and I really hope PSA will sever ties with them.
Worst part of the entire video was hearing the guy say "we can agree we've all been fooled". No dude, just you and your company were duped by not doing even a shred of due diligence on a box worth millions of dollars.
also if im looking for authenticity it wouldint be through a company that checks for Sport boxes/cards but also u cannot verify a box 100% without checking its context to

It was depressing to watch Logan Paul getting scammed. He could of called you up on speed dail for you being an expert on vintage before dropping $3.5 million...

@@ikitclaw4852 The truth is much more crazy than that. In reality Logan Paul purchased this box to delegitimize the BBCE so that all sports cards and TCG cards tank in value. Now everyone will question the authenticity and dump sealed pokemon booster boxes for cheap. Logan Paul will buy them and than he can do many box openings and have more sealed 1st edition boxes than Gary(King Pokemon).
Once he had sold all these boxes he will have more money than anyone in the world. Part 2 is his plan is to use that money to build spaceships that will go out into the solar system. Why the solar system? So he can become not only the biggest influencer in our world but the whole universe. That Logan Paul is smart but we zoomers are not that dumb. We can look into stuff.🤔

i had my whole collection stolen about 6 years ago a first edition base set booster box along with a base set booster box a fossel booster box a jungle first edition booster box and expedition booster box all stolen along with all the cards i had pulled over the years probably close to 4 thousand vintage cards all mint i had all the cards at my grandmothers house becuase i figured they would be safe there but boy was i wrong gradmas addict along with her whole house got robbed all her jewelery and basically anything of were lovalue they even took the deed to her house and tryd to have it put into their name they ended up getting caught but sadly the cards were lost it was something that made me quit collecting all around not just pokemon everything but after years of it being on my mind i found you and a couple other like cool trainer ryan and chloe on youtube i started watching you alls videos and hearing your story and seeing where you are now inspired me to start collecting again my wife says im crazy but i want to start a channel any tips pointers or advice for someone just getting started on youtube

boxes should be authenticated on video by opening them up first and then re sealing them all on video and dated official
Canadian here ! I get scammed far more with weighted packs, resealed packs. Pre opened and swapped boxes from America ! Not once have i got fake product here. Must be country vs country swap issue.
Canada likes to reprint vintage postcards and pass them off as authentic also.

This was several months to a year+ in the making. Takes time to coordinate and organize all the right people and things.

I bought a ton of Pokémon cards in Spain Mallorca and there were a bunch of V and V-Max and I felt like it was fake maybe it is idk yet but I feel like I did something wrong when I saw the cards.
There should just be a massive investigation to find and collect all scammers of every kind. Then enforce the most extreme punishments.

You cannot blame Logan Paul... he bought it with the verification of a long term authentication company. The company itself should really take all the blame for it since its their stamp of approval. Otherwise, what service are they actually selling?

In my honest opinion.. could this be a ploy to keep his name in the media of Pokemon.. this could be a big "hahaha got you" but for real if the man did truly honestly get scammed, I really feel for him. Because if I had the money he has I would be buying these nostalgic boxes to relive those memories of being young and I would be completely torn apart if this is real and if it was me in his shoes. 100%, he's an entertainer. He likely netted an insane amount of $$$ from the whole ordeal so I highly doubt anyone in the "influencer sphere" of Logan and the likes are authentic about anything. Cynical take surely, but the whole thing seems reasonably well acted mind you, but acted nevertheless.
Surprised they didn’t weigh the boxes against real ones, you should always have at least one authentic copy to base your analysis off of.
Just got back into collecting and got scammed by resealed Charizard Ultra Premium box on Amazon “New”. Agreed on no matter what price it is the worst feeling to get scammed.

my brain would melt i am very new to this and i love the trill so much but having thoughs of buying for example my first base set booster pack let stand a box and finding out it is fake oohh man i would cry all day.
heavy hit for all authenticators. there were rumours that scetchy stuff was going on at BGS, PSA and others... remember PSA sends the Boxes to BBCE to let them authenticate. They also authenticated fake Boosters and sold resealed products which later were sent to PSA and debunked by BBCE. I really hope this Sealed colllection thing will evolve to sth better.
Won pack #25 from Logan Paul's Christmas 1st edition Shadowless booster box 36 pack giveaway from Puerto Rico on his Whatnot stream. There were 14K watching and got lucky and won the pack. No holo or Zard, but still extremely happy either way. Got the cards last week. Thank goodness the booster was real. It was purchased from the Heritage Auction.

If it was real i feel really bad for logan and the commmunity, but every part of me is saying this is a big fake, everything in this video seemed too telegraphed, almosted scripted and unnatural. There is alot of money surrounding this purchase and the way they 'acted' seemed so off, especially the people around logan. Until this video i believed logan but now i can't look at this video and believe this was real.

I genuinely don't like Logan Paul, just not my type of content creator or person in general really. That said, I feel bad for him. No one deserves to get scammed period, and on that scale it's just insane. The only good that comes out of this is maybe better awareness. However, I also hope with his money/resources he takes the effort to dig into this (contact Rattle Pokemon, he's done most the work already) and finds the people responsible and some kind of justice can be done to make sure they can't do this again.

@@AndrewCarrasco wrong. This was at the height of the market last year when boxes were still worth 400k. That was the biggest red flag and why no body actually winded up getting it on ebay. That was everyones thought who saw it. The guy who won ebay bid wudnt buy it cus they wudnt let him fly in to canada to see it. The second guy he found was from insta and had the bbce people with then when it arrived
