Think im so surprised is bc its you have to be like BTS level to make it to our (U.S) mainstream airwaves and that they're not BTS level and still did it is remarkable. I'm sure it helps big time that there's an English version.

    1. Attrakt are suing Givers as an external force and in the initial documents they found evidence that Givers forged documents and tried to embezzle money and have added embezzlement to their lawsuit.
    2. Givers tried to negotiate with Warner Music Korea without Attrakt knowledge.
    3. Givers removed the composers from the copyright and transferred it to SIAHN producer directly and lied to the CEO.
    4. Givers convinced the group that the CEO wasn't looking after their health despite evidence that the CEO was the one who suggested they take a break and that it was SIAHN was the one who wanted Aran to go back to work.
    5. Givers haven't allowed any of the parties to talk to each other directly making it easy for them to scam everyone. Attrakt, Warner Music Korea, the Cupid composers and the Group only talked through the Givers. Now it is going through legal proceedings, I think once all the parties actually get to start talking to each other directly, they will all realise who the real bad guys are.

Now with all this coming to light, how do people expect the girls to stay with such an incompetent CEO?????? Doesn’t matter if he’s a nice person he’s still terrible as a CEO. The girls jumped ship early to avoid sinking with him because he clearly doesn’t know what’s going on and blindly trusting random people….. he is a victim in terms of other companies but the girls are also victims of his incompetency.

@@LightLifeList what you mentioned doesn’t necessarily negate what i said either. I agree there are tons of missing information that have yet to be revealed but from the information that we got before, the girls had no contact with the CEO (i agree that they should have made more effort to contact him directly) but we never really know what SIAHN has told them about the CEO or how far he went to prevent their contact. There’s clearly been a lot of manipulation of both the CEO and the girls. The CEO has every right to sue SIAHN’s a** and the girls also have the full right to terminate their contracts due to this whole mess regardless whether they were told “lies” by SIAHN or were manipulated. End of the day, CEO is still very incompetent as a CEO but appears to be a very kind person who’s easily taken advantage off unfortunately.

the girls asked for financial statements as there right. Members in groups wont be payed early on but i think they were talking about lack of transparency of financial statements that would be for future. The statements shows 0 income because all moneys went to Dtar Crew Entertainment, which JHJ is also the CEO of. This is done to pay off loan to Interpark who gave 9 billion moneys to Starcrew. A debt starcrew is repaying with profits from attrackt and fifty fifty. i am not completely sure, but I think a boygroup named Hot Shot was under that company. This means that they are at a consistent negative in comaony profits for a loan to a company they not part of without there knowledge. i think loan was peocessed 2 years ago and the cro admits he paid 6 billion moneys for the girls debut, but where is the other 3 million, maybe Starcrew. The excess funds show that he not sell his car or rolex, this may be a story to gain public sympathy. Members would be in debt form an external loan for finances they are unsure whether they are being used personally by ceo or if apartment is just going to wrack up more debt for them, somr people have compared this method to BBC to LOONA. I also know they claimed they were being taken care of or there physical and mental health wzsnt being aknowledged, especially arans foot injury which led to surgery. I think they are also suing for lack of promotion and schedule as well. Gil Hak-mi was previously under Oscar entertainment that was owned by the ceo and has come out in support for the girls saying “My poor girls, I also wanted yo, so i understand your feelings. People dont know unless there involved”.

Koreans think that the 50/50's claim about mistreatment is a petty excuse for the buyout and I agree.
    1. The members had the most pristine housing conditions for a rookie group at a small label. The CEO paid $2500/month for their 3BR 3Bath apartment in Gangnam, which is super luxurious in Korea. They had top-tier lessons and English education which are all very privileged.
    2. The members were on a break for the last few months because of one of the members' surgery. So it doesn't align with their claims about how the CEO allegedly "forced" them to work despite health conditions. IK It's bad to compare but idols like BP, Le sserafim, and many others have way harsher schedules than them.
    3. So far, from the courtroom, all of their claims about financing were ruled out as a misunderstanding.
    4. The main income for K-pop artists come from album sales, concerts, gigs, and brand deals. 50/50 hasn't done a lot of these but they had a lot of these lined up for them if they had just waited (like the Barbie deal).
    5. 50/50 did well in the streaming department, but that isn't very lucrative for business. Again, if they were patient and actually did the activities mentioned in 4 (which were already scheduled for them), they would've actually broke even and get paid.
I know that a lot of these claims didn't come from the 50/50 members. I'm pretty sure they were manipulated by The Givers producer and their parents. But they're not that innocent like what many of the international fans are saying.

I agree with this and also hate to compare but many of the groups we view as "BIG" now such as Seventeen and BTS were living in poorer situations and took awhile to get paid even after their songs became "viral" or "mainstream". Sure their situation may be different because they also take part in producing their own music but even SM groups who are always a hit in Korea don't get paid right away /: TikTok is a GREAT new avenue for new artists but unfortunately one or two viral/hit songs does not guarantee continued success. We can see this from the failed promotions of MOMOLAND who deserved more, same for GFRIEND who got shaded so hard by SOURCE MUSIC (and I adore Le Sserafim).
Greed is wild though, I honestly wouldn't have heard of FIFTY FIFTY if their song CUPID wasn't shoved in my face on every platform and I don't even use TikTok.

@@hello_sundayes, I wouldn’t say that rookie idols should live in not-so-good environment to humble them but seems it’s better method than to just spoon-fed everything to them from start and let them get ahead of themselves when they just start their careers.
5050 environment (dorm) is way better than most rookie idols out there, unless you are from big companies. Like you said, I’ve heard many successful senior idols telling their struggle in the past, like how they live under the basement, or they live with cockroaches, or they share one small room with multiple members. Those were hard times but now that they’re telling them like fond memories that drove them to work harder.
5050 members should believe in what they see and experience with their own eyes more than listening to the bad adults around them. Did no one question is it okay to sue their company like this when they’re treated nicely? Were there no trust between the members and company at all that they couldn’t talk and work this problem without bringing to the court? I mean I would’ve trusted them more if their dorm are like shit. But now we haven’t seen evidence on how they could’ve been treated badly by their company yet. If anything, like previous comment said they should’ve stayed neutral and just let GIVERS vs ATTRAKT fight, but unfortunately they already sided with GIVERS pretty early on. IMO GIVERS’ Ahn Sung-Il is the mastermind behind manipulation of the girls, the parents, the CEO, external potential investor, and maybe even the original producer of the song

    • @NinjaKittkatt
      @NinjaKittkatt Год назад +4

      Just to play devil's advocate:
      1) The housing conditions for a rookie girl group are actually a red flag to me that actually DOES indicate mismanagement of funds. If they're from a small company and the CEO is literally paying THAT MUCH to put 4 girls in a luxurious apartment, why the hell were they placed in there in the first place? That sounds like unnecessary costs being added on to an already expensive debut. The CEO is then guilty of trying to "live above his means". People trying to claim the members have no right to complain while living in a place like that, but all I can think of "How the hell did the CEO intend to maintain giving the girls all that if Cupid never went viral? There's no way he would have been able to continue affording it."
      2) You literally don't know if/when the member was injured and also comparing it to another group saying "they have it worse that 50/50 but still promote" doesn't change the fact that the injured member could've been injured for months prior? We don't know when she got injured, we just know when she requested to take time off for surgery.
      3) Misunderstanding could be related to what Grace said, someone else was whispering in the girl's ears trying to get them to believe something that wasn't true. I highly doubt a group of teenagers are going to understand the depths of the music industry enough to actually plan this whole thing out maliciously to backstab their CEO.
      4) We don't know what their contract states about distribution of funds, not every company has the same plan.
      5) Not necessarily if the CEO was spending so much money on giving them a "top girl group" experience. If he's ripping money out of his mother's bank account and selling the clothes off hiss back it means he's ALREADY spent more money than he has available. Those girls would be in debt forever. To me it's similar to Loona where their company spent millions and millions on their pre-debut project which meant that Loona would literally never break even unless they reached Twice, Blackpink, or BTS levels of success. (Speaking in terms of specifically when Loona was first debuting, before we knew anything else about how shady BBC was because remember back then how much fans were praising BBC for giving the girls such a unique pre-debut.)

Let me clear up why Fifty Fifty is being criticized by Koreans.
    1. They've just debuted, and they've already asked for a settlement. Three million dollars. CEO Jeon Hong-joon planned to pay off the debt incurred in training Fifty Fifty first with profits, and then settle it accurately, but suddenly they sued CEO Jeon Hong-joon.
    2. CEO Jeon Hong-joon provided welfare and education at the level of a large agency to raise the children even by selling his belongings and family belongings. But I betrayed CEO Jeon Hong-joon's efforts.
    3. CEO Ahn Sung-il has long been notorious for lying a lot and stealing artists from other agencies. And it's becoming more controversial because of this incident.
    4. CEO Ahn Sung-il continues to commit all kinds of misdeeds to somehow ruin CEO Jeon Hong-joon by mobilizing the parents of the Fifty Fifty members. Because of this, other celebrities, producers, and agencies are all angry.
    5. Fifty Fifty's parents independently registered the trademark rights of Fifty Fifty without consulting the agency. The agency used tens of millions of dollars to steal the group that debuted.
    6. CEO Ahn Sung-il registered all the copyrights as his own without asking the Swedish composer who wrote the title song "Cupid." He even stole a song from a Swedish composer.
    7. CEO Ahn Sung-il even attempted to destroy evidence to cover up everything with CEO Jeon Hong-joon's crime. Fortunately, all the evidence has been preserved and restored, but they are still trying to destroy it.
    8. The relatives of CEO Ahn Sung-il and professional trainers and producers who participated in the Fifty Fifty management persuaded Fifty Fifty to apologize to CEO Jeon Hong-joon and start over. But they completely ignored it.
    9. They even filed a criminal complaint against CEO Jeon Hong-joon for breach of trust when the negotiations broke down and it was likely to become increasingly unfavorable. I don't think it's a civil suit anymore, so I was trying to make a crime.
    10. Fifty Fifty claimed that CEO Jeon Hong-joon announced their illness without consent and that he sexually harassed them. But then they actually signed a contract with an agency that produces sexy adult movies. Why did the girls, who were angry that the CEO committed sexual harassment, sign a contract with an agency that produces racy adult films? Doesn't that odd?
    11. CEO Ahn Sung-il won his own contract with Warner Bros. Music Group without notifying CEO Jeon Hong-joon. And I kept hiding it from CEO Jeon Hong-joon. He was trying to monopolize the overseas expansion through Warner Bros.
    12. Fifty Fifty's parents gave back money to a producer of a current affairs culture program on SBS, one of Korea's leading terrestrial broadcasters, and unconditionally made biased reports in favor of Fifty Fifty. Viewers were very angry that SBS mocked viewers through biased reports. So the SBS homepage was paralyzed for 6 hours.
There are many other controversies and misdeeds, but there are 11 things I can sort out. If you need more, I will organize it again and reply to you later.

      @FindThisHeart Год назад

"They filed a biased report" brother, just because you don't like the facts doesn't mean it's biased. You are making a martyr out of a CEO who had no interest in giving those kids a fair shot. Also, use your brain for once: what does he win by keeping the group? He should cut his losses and let them go.

12 isn't even that surprising, companies themselves do it, but then instead of it being considered bribery it's just called "networking". Hell even politicians do it.
Fifty Fifty and their music seems like the least harmful thing a corrupt reporter/broadcaster could be promoting.

Ngl, I see potential in the 2 vocals of the group but not the rappers and I feel that Cupid might be a 1 hit wonder for them even if they leave their company for some reason.. I think they filed for the lawsuit way too early, like they debuted around 9 months ago and their company they're complaining about managed to give them a huge song, like the English version of Cupid is in my opinion better than all English songs released by all other K-pop groups combined, even better than my favorites.. You gotta put yourself in their CEO shoes.. This is a huge slap on the face to him considering the huge amount of money he invested in them
Regarding the lack of promotions and ads for them, I think this is the case for most of the groups coming from small companies.. I think broadcasting companies don't really prefer them.. Like look at how successful ATEEZ is.. They're selling millions of albums and performing on big stages, yet they don't appear on lots of variety shows nor have that many ads they appear on, especially during their rookie days.. Can we say their agency, KQ Entertainment, is bad for that?? As an Atiny, I think KQ is great because it managed them so well and gave them such good production team to make their songs and helped improving the members skills.. Similarly, I don't think we've seen enough shortage or lacking from Attrakt to blame them.. This only would damage the girls of Fifty Fifty as they appear greedy and backstabbers

During all that glamorous rookie years they lived in a 3 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment. We all have seen their dorm. Quite small for 9 idols from a big agency. Did you ever heard them complain? No. Twice has been working non stop for 8 years now but their rookie years was insane, comeback every 4 months, doing commercials for more than 20 brands, variety shows left and right. Do you heard them complain? No. Jeongyeon suffers injury on her leg while filming a variety show but she still show up for every events that Twice was scheduled. Do you heard any complain from her? no. During one of their vlive, Jeongyeon casually revealed that they don't recieve their salary for a year after debut. Do you see them filing a lawsuit? No. Instead they keep going, working hard almost to the brink of exhaustion because they have passion, humbleness and love for their job. To them it's not about fame or money. And look at them now. Zero. Album profit? No. (Even lovelz sells 50k in one song and 5050 cupid? 20k. 20k very small amount. Right?) Any Uni festival Event? No. ( korean uni festival give hella money to groups. Popular kpop groups go so many events.) TV show? I can barely see them just on youtube.
When one member got sugery, Ceo gave all the members long vacation. While other idols work so hard to pay off, 5050 rest well. Do not even compare them to Loona.

The agency's CEO made sacrifices and invested all his money in making Fifty-Fifty successful. But they lied to their fans, made the CEO a very bad person, and filed a lawsuit. Their only goal was to leave a small agency and become a global agency. Their leader gave everything for the Fifty- Fifty. However, what came immediately after the success was a lawsuit to terminate the contract. This is only part of this incident. The lies they lied to the public were truly cunning and incredible. Although they are receiving completely different criticism from Koreans than before, the members do not think Korea is important. This is because there are overseas fans who do not know about this incident. So overseas fans need to know more about this incident. In addition, all of their applications for contract termination were dismissed by the court.

But the fact is that they had a grand total of 12 gigs over a span of 6 months. Disclosed text messages show that the very CEO they are suing specifically directed that their schedule be light, out of concern for their health.
Their "lawsuit" is such a joke, and with Interpark themselves coming out with a statement earlier today, even their complaint about finances has been proven to be a complete farce. I know that it probably wasn’t solely the girls choice, that there was probably some stuff behind the scenes, but this CEO sounds ten times better than some CEOs I’ve heard of before.
