    Dogs are really great noticing when you are about to end things, because it means you are free and there is a chance for walk/play :)
    My dog always spawns at the door when I am turning the computer off

    I’ve heard “chips” described as chord stabs or horn stabs and are related to what horn ( sax, trumpet etc..) players do when using this very same technique when doing fills…really stands out in R&B/Soul…Thanks Justin Cheers! 🎸🔊🎶✌️❤️🤘🤟

    Ziggy's a real sweetie. These basic technique lessons are a must. Even for more advanced players, it's ALWAYS good to revisit, deconstruct, re-appraise and rebuild aspects of basic tech, and in guitar terms there's no better way to do this than with Justin's tutorials. Not one of us is too big to learn. Nice one Justin! 🎶🌟👍

    A real common blues technique is to also play some of the triad rhythmically with the pressure lifted off the fingers. That happens accidentally pretty easily when fooling around with the lift off muting. Country too... chicken pickin Blues artists like Gatemouth Brown, Hubert Sumlin, Albert Collins, Bo Diddly come to mind for me. How about this song for chips Johnny Otis - Willie And The Hand Jive

    Are you doing anything special with amp/guitar to get that sound? Reverb, etc?

    Hello
    Have a question to ask I'm 63yrs old and retire. I always wanted to learn to play a guitar. I'm learning on my owe the past 6 months just started to learn how to play the guitar not ready to do one on one classes yet with the Virus. I purchase a new electric guitar and Mustang LT25 to start with. I do one hour mostly everyday set aside for myself. My question is with so many teachers on You Tube a friend told me about you and I started to watch your videos which helps me out a lot. another question my goal by end of this year is too learn at least 2 songs one is AC/DC Shoot To Thill and the other song is Lynyrd Skynyrd Simple Man On my Mustang LT25 for the sound what setting Title screen do you have yours on Example on my Title screen on top of my amp you choose what you wan to play your songs on example #1 Fender Clean then turn the black dial next screen is #2 classic Rock ETC goes up to #30 I understand about the gain/Bass/Volume/Treble I just don't know want Title to set it on the make the adjustments hope that makes sense hope you can help me out thanks

      There is a RUclips video entitled "Fender Mustang LT50 - All 30 Presets". I would expect that this has all the same pre-sets as the LT25. It shows every pre-set being played with an appropriate style of music. I don't know the songs that you want to learn, but if you watch the video I hope that you will find suitable pre-sets to fit.

      @@Bettys_Eldest thanks the songs my goal by end of the year is to play/learn AC/DC Shoot to Thrill and Simple Man from Lynyrd Skynyrd do you know on the Present Setting it would be under ?

    • @Bettys_Eldest
      @Bettys_Eldest 2 года назад +1

      John, these are not songs, or even bands that I am all that familiar with. If you listen to the Fender Mustang LT50 - All 30 Presets video with them in mind, you should be able to find pre-sets that are close to what you are looking for. But the main thing is to concentrate on learning to play the songs. Having the right tone and effects is the icing on the cake. What's most important is playing the notes.

    My friend loves guitar and has multiple in his apartment he lives in with his family. I have wanted to learn guitar for a while and he is able to teach me a little. The one thing for me is, in order for that to happen, I would probably need to go to his apartment that he shares with so many others because he needs to buy a case for another guitar in order to take two over to my house. His family doesn't have to money to have two cars as well, and his dad works odd hours. So I would love to learn guitar with my friend but I don't even have one first of all, and he just can't get his parents to buy a case for him. My dad has a ukulele, so I have been thinking of trying that out, but I have social anxiety and it's hard to even ask for it. :c my parents do this whole "you don't use what you have so you aren't getting this thing." And I wish I could say that I have social anxiety that makes me not wanna do things around anyone. I for sure wanna learn something, I just don't know how to get my mind to just shut up and let me. :c

      Go for it! If you can, try out that Ukulele. The Uke was my first instrument & it's a lot of fun! And I have some free Uke lessons here www.justinguitar.com/classes/ukulele. Cheers :)

      A decent case can cost more than a decent beginner guitar.
      You maybe happier by saving up some money and getting a cheap guitare for yourself.
      I started with a 70€ Electric guitar set. (Epiphone Les Paul...)
      Didnt even use the amp for the first year to avoid annoying the neighbors. You can always upgrade parts at a later time or look for deals on the used parts market.
      Maybe your guitar buddy can accompany you to your local guitar shop or help you by choosing the right size.
