A lot of people dragging Ohio State after this game but NONE of them ask “Would Ohio States defense from last year won this game?” Probably not. That’s why we are high on this defense. The offense will have its day but this was about our defense.
For a season opener this was a great game. Ohio state was down most of the game 10-7. I felt like Ohio state's offense is explosive and could do whatever when it needed and it did. I'm not going to argue about a win or whatever I'm happy Ohio State won. Ohio State defense did look improved from last year. I think Ohio state's going to go undefeated because most teams Ohio State play not nearly as decent as as Notre Dame Notre Dame's a really good team I don't think they're going to lose another game but it's too early to tell.
Bucks always been a second half team for as long as I’ve been old enough to watch and remember lol. Urban was bout the only coach who when up early just kept shoving it down opponents throats for blow outs. Being an osu fan is def not great for our hearts and blood pressure lol.
SMH Stroud is way better than JT. He has a stronger arm he reads Defenses faster he can drop dimes all over the secondary Stroud has a quicker release can't really compare... Urban's offense is totally different from Ryan Day's offense.

Plus Smith Njigba got hurt and they still won. I didn't think Ohio State was gonna be that good this year because they lost Wilson Olave & Rucker on offense. I think they are set up good this year.
Defense looked great. But one thing that I've noticed is that Day doesn't like to run the ball very much....and it's been an ongoing issue for the past three seasons. Like early in the 3rd quarter, OSU got two first downs running the ball only to go three and out with nothing but passing plays. It's frustrating.
John Madden teams of the 70s use to be good at what 22 defensive back for Ohio state should have done on the first play of the game took his fist and punched the ball out from behind, Madden would practice this with his players !
As a Buckeye fan, I hope ND runs the table for the remainder of the season! They (ND) could possibly sneak to 4th when it’s all said and done if they are undefeated moving forward! Good game !
i dont know man, last year ND'S only loss came to cincy. that did Notre Dame in in the end. had the Irish beaten Cincy, ND probably wouldve been playing for a chance to make the national title game.what kills Notre Dame, is that they play independently, no conference,so year in and year out, they have to play some unblemished ball to be considered to be in a ''big bowl game''

ND did better than expected but in the end they got overwhelmed.
Great game from both teams. Ohio State’s defense looks like they’re going to step up big from 2021. 100%!
Stroud is very accurate. Future star.
ND held it’s own in the first half, second half was a different story.

Ever since Brian Kelly has departed from Notre Dame, ND fans have claimed he doesn't recruit well, coach well, etc etc. After watching this game, I can confidently say that Brian Kelly left Marcus Freeman stacked with talent, there's no doubt about that.
Or Marcus Freeman is stacked with his own new former Ohio State players and assistants
He has one former Ohio Sate assistant
Brian Kelly never prepared them for the Big game. Freeman did that tonight
Brian Kelly left notre dame with a 6 man receiver room 1 got injured in fall camp another is a freshman and another is a 5th year walk on. Thanks Kelly

Great old school game. Not flashy. Just win.
Great game is right. Two top teams not afraid to show a national audience there stuff. ND will bounce back. Ohio state is so good.
Some bad penalty calls, some unlucky breaks, #1 WR getting hurt early, and a formidable ND. I'm happy with the score. Defense and field position win championships and we are on point with both.
Listen I know Jim Tressel was in attendance but Jesus did we really have to use his gut wrenching system to win this lol
We didn’t get rolling until we got the running game going tbh
That 2002 team made me drink a lot but damned ole Coach Bruce used to say a win is a win is a win!! ND came to play tonight and the Bucks got the W!!!

21-10 win against a #5 team..and held them to only 10pts, 250 total yds.. that game belongs to tOSU defense. GO BUCKS !
Stroud is a top 5 pick and practically only got OU 7 points until the very end of the 3rd Q vs ND QB. 1st game as a starter
guarantee you ND won't be a top 10 team by the end of the year. Their offense is not good. They will lose to Clemson, and USC, and will probably lose to BYU or another random pac 12 school too.
@@LilRedRasta it’s literally only the o line that needs work, just like last year, nd got to a really slow start and at the end of the year they didn’t even let an opponent score one touchdown
ND is not good. Offense terrible. Unranked within a few weeks. Jackson Njigba TKOd by one hit. Soft program. “Number one offense” 21 points against first year head coach.

We got it even without JSN, that's a great start to the year!
Your going to laugh but Fleming was supposed to start so really he was missing both wr 1 and 2.
Who else was more impressed with the fact that we were able to make stops this year!
In the late 3rd-4th quarter you could clearly see the talent discrepancies between the 2nd and 3rd strings from both teams, it showed when ND slowed down and OSU started to run up the score. That is exactly why ND will never be able to win against the big teams, they have never been able to recruit enough talented 2nd and 3rd strings.
Nah nd has like the deepest class next year for 2023, brain Kelly never tried to recruit
@@Hithereitsme32 BK still lives rent free in y’all’s heads. He has LSU as #6 in the 2023 recruiting class and he’s only been there for 9 months. @@jackandrews7878 Kelly never won a major bowl game -- he had 12 seasons at ND. 12! Vacated wins brought dishonor to ND. Trust me, most ND alums & fans are glad he left. So glad next years game is OSU’s 3rd game. Most likely new qb, wr1, both tackles 1 guard and maybe center.
Anybody else notice when they made us watch a coach aggressively chew gum instead of the game?
Vegas blew the spread out of proportion for this game. ND came in ranked #5. If anyone thought they’d be a slouch, you’re smokin dope. Both teams came to win their first W of the season. It was a great game. Both teams were coached very well. O-H!
Glad we got the win , good game ND .
Defense & running the football is the formula ND had a excellent first quarter but for 11:56 left in the 2nd quarter to the end Ohio St Defense dominated. With that Defense and the way they run Ohio st should be top 3 all year.
should be but if an sec team is undefeated when they play alabama or georgia they might squeeze osu out of top 3 for ratings
I’m so excited for this ND team! Great game

Probably not.

Good luck the rest of the year
Stroud is gonna hold this team back
My thoughts are this point also. It's only the first game though so we'll see. We better not have another J.T. Barrett.
@@Buckeye_4_Life_ jt barrett was better than stroud

SMH Stroud is way better than JT. He has a stronger arm he reads Defenses faster he can drop dimes all over the secondary Stroud has a quicker release can't really compare... Urban's offense is totally different from Ryan Day's offense.
ND's poor play calling was the difference in this game. Both Defenses look great for almost the whole game.
when tb had time....he did good
This is what I’m talking bout BUCKEYE NATION that’s literally the best I’ve seen our defense in years great win guys now build off it cause Bama and Georgia would’ve never let notre dame hang around that long

Haskins, Fields and Stroud all very good. Whomever steps in after each other, has massive shoes to fill.
Fields was easily the best lol
Man when is J Ballard gonna get to play, The guy is an absolute monster at wide receiver with height and speed and can catch anything it’s a shame OSU keeps them on the bench

Why is the highest resolution 720p lmao. Add that to the issues with the broadcast. Missed plays to watch women in the stands, the audio production decision to make the Notre Dame marching band sound louder than just about anything else, the obnoxious bar at the bottom, etc. It's a shame they have the exclusive rights to the championship because their production quality has gone down hill fast.
