A friend of mine went hog hunting with me. he used an AR. i was using a bolt action 30-06. we both got our hogs. shot at a distance of about 30 yards both with perfect broadside heart and lung shots. my hog dropped and didnt move. he had to track his through underbrush for about 80 yards. its a single story but most of my hunting friends have had similar tales or even more exaggerated differences to tell. the AR works well as a deer gun but struggles with hogs.
What caliber did he use?
@@americanhistorybuff3385 it was just a standard 5.56 round I think. This was nearly 3 years ago so not sure if he used 5.56 or .223
