they have equal actuation point soo it depends on the sound. soo u should go for the better sounding one in my opinion

Ight im currently on apex 7 tkl with blues bc i enjoy clicky and tactile, and i want a change of pace ya know, so ima order gk61 with optical silvers, and i am trying to find wether or not people lube these types of switches, and correct process for that, like a specific type of lube or what not, if anyone could assist, i would appreciate it, thanks.

It all depends on if you want a smooth typing experience. I you like clicky and tactile I would not lube the switches but if you want to lube the switch I would recommend getting Krytox 205g0.

How are they for typing? Do you make alot of errors or is it ok? How do they compare with the reds or the yellows? Planning on changing mine.

I barely make errors when typing on this keyboard. I think that the yellows are better for gaming if you are only going to use it for that, but the silvers are a great in between option for gaming and daily life.

Tbh I’ve tried both and i personally like the gk61 more because the optical silvers are a lot faster than the linear switches, its also a good starter mechanical keyboard while the huntsman is a more advanced gaming keyboard, and lastly the gk61 sounds a lot better

yeah if you want to lube it i recommend Krytox as it makes the board have a thicker sound and more sturdy

it is actually very loud for a keyboard and sounds like piercing pops when using it

They are the same yellow and silver all you need with the silver switches are put more force. Be quiet with that.
