In case there's anyone with a *2006* (like me) the process will be a little different.. Do NOT remove the bracket below your power steering pump - that's your engine mount and your engine will drop :)
The location of the bolts are also a little different - reference your replacement part to find them. Taking the old pulley off the original part to put on the replacement was a little tricky, I ended up borrowing an impact wrench from a buddy and giving it a couple quick pumps.
Good luck, and kudos to Matt for putting together such a detailed, and well-shot tutorial. It was really helpful and gave me the confidence to switch the part out myself. Thanks!

Great tutorial!!! Most new pumps come without the pulley, which needs to be transferred. That is more of a headache than removing the pump. Lol😊

Dec 2021: Sub’d for this excellent video. My 2007 that my daughter drives has been losing fluid and is leaking (at least overnight). Gonna test to see if it squirts from the hoses, will likely end up replacing pump. Thanks, Matthew!

Hey +Matt Shaughnessy, do I have to use OEM pump/ high pressure hose when replacing, or only fluid? I'll be tackling this as a fairly novice DIYer here soon and need to start buying parts.

Did you use a 14mm open end wrench to connect to the belt tensioner? Usually like on my truck it takes a like 1/2” drive ratchet but on our Honda I can’t see it ?so any help appreciated

Thank you so much. You might've saved me about $600 I can't afford to spend. Anybody know what size those specific O-rings are and where to get them?

What kind of powersteering pump did you end up going with? My moms pump has been leaking on her crv and ive replaced it 3 times with different brands (1 rockauto, 1 amazon, 1 ebay) and every single on i had to return cause they whined like a supercharger on a hellcat lol.

I ended up using a *Duralast New Power Steering Pump 5823N* for my 2006. I think this part works for many different years and currently goes for $177.

I know this response is old but must say if all it did was whine than all you needed to do was change 2 o-rings that cost less than $3.00 One goes on high pressure line and inlet line, the two lines that hook up to pump.
