    I really admire you. You speak so passionately and you seem so involved with every process. With that type of drive and intent, I know it's killing you that you can't do everything by yourself. I can tell that you were good in restaurants, been working in them for 12 years myself. I think I'm gonna grow some mushrooms because of you, man. Thank you.

    Hey Brian. I am working on getting a loan for a new startup. If this loan gets approved (and it looks fairly promising right now), you might have another regular buyer for your mushrooms. May even ask to pay you for some advice on setup and processing of my product.
    2019 looks extremely exciting for you! We can just hear the anticipation in your voice and the joy on your face. It's great to see you doing so well!

    Hats off to your work bro...1 tek question if u have to chose between greenhouse and containers what do u chose for production area???and if your farm was in Barcelona u make the same choice???thanks

    • @whatthefungus
      @whatthefungus  5 лет назад

      I made my choices due to what resources I had. If I lived in Barcelona I would research what is available there and may be different from what have now.

    Hey, I really enjoy your videos. They are very helpful, and I thank you for what you are doing. Your new steamers that you are showing here. What are they made out of? I mean, what is the container itself? Is this something you made yourself? Very interesting stuff.

    Where could I find your Lion's Mane strain which can handle high head (35C)? You mentioned earlier that you had found it on Fungi Perfecti but that was a while ago and I was wondering if it was the same one?

    • @whatthefungus

      This strain is from the east coast and loves colder temps. FP strain will grow in hotter temps

    So do the mushrooms poke themselves through the bag? Or do you need to poke a hole to allow them to grow out of them? Thanks 🙏

    I'm impressed! It's very scary, too! Your over investing and underproducing , yet your still liquid? Do you draw wages? Or is your investment your wages? Do you layoff over winter? These are nosey questions, but you paint a very bleak income picture. Is the remoteness of your location the pin to cost reduction? Why don't you use earthen tunnels? Are greenhouses better return on investment? They seem so temporary compared to covered trenches. Is speed more profitable than production? Have you calculated "Taylor" methods of management, or do you do it all on the "fly". Is there an actual per mushroom production cost, or does that not matter? If a single bag has a calculated cost, does 100 bags reduce that cost? 1000, 10,000? Yes, I know I'm asking "trade secrets ", but not to undermine. My grad father invented, patented, and manufactured the 3 ring binder you used in school. I grew up and farmed through my young adulthood. I've got a "twisted" view of modern farming. But I'm looking to sustain my old age in farming. Especially mushrooms. Your complete. Compact. ORGANIC. You know your business, share some pitfalls? PLEASE? And yes, I'm buying your book this January. I'll expect you'll have it complete with revisions by then :)
