I love so many things about your channel, but my number one favorite thing is that you focus on design, and not on trends. You taught me how to think more objectively about my surroundings, and I like my space more now than I ever have in my life. Thank you so much for what you do!!!!
Definitely B even if I had enough allocated for A. I could buy B, take a trip, and invest the remainder of the money - after booking a consultation with you, of course!
I appreciate that! I’m working on it. We just need more people to be exposed to the videos that really are interested in learning and having fun. I’m sharing what I’ve learned from getting a degree in interior design and over the past decade. There really is more to this field than picking out pretty things or just design commentary. Anyone can do that.😊😊😊
I’m less than a minute in and already have thoughts about designing for your lifestyle: I have this gorgeous thick white woven wool area rug that I got for a steal about 7 years ago. It could be a heirloom piece were I to ever actually have any heirs. It’s one of my favorite pieces that I own. Or, well, it was when I bought it. The problem is when I bought it, I lived alone with no pets in an apartment that I really only used to sleep because I worked so much. Now I have four cats, a spouse, friends and family with young children, and an old house with a dusty, weedy yard that we’re trying to repair. That rug is no longer gorgeous. It’s been puked on, peed on, walked on until it turned black, had food dropped on it, had diapers changed on it, been used as a cat scratcher, gotten wet when the old apartment flooded, been stored in an awkward position for months at a time so that it has permanent creases, and been soaped down and cleaned until the the wool started to felt from the friction. It has cat hair, burrs, dirt, and litter embedded in the weave. I’ve moved it into the bedroom so that the bed can help hide some of the stains… but one of the cats puked on it again the other day, right on one of the few visible places. I will grant that it has held up. Our synthetic rugs that experienced the same abuse fell apart. It really does have the quality of an heirloom piece. It’s just so impossible to keep clean that I’ve grown to hate it. Because it no longer suits my lifestyle.
Option B, cause I'm a very practical CPA! I moved across country and had to buy furniture for my whole house. I bought the best quality I could afford and paid interest free over a year and filled in with beautiful vintage pieces.
Thank you for talking about “following trends”. While I try to “curate” in our home, however I feel like I have eclectic taste. So i mix old and newer….however the suggestions about pops of a trending color and especially how to dress windows etc, are much appreciated. Like you say, “you be you”. ❤
Garrett, I’ve said this before, but I just love you! You are knowledgeable and funny and snarky, but kind 😄 I also love your doggies ❤ Thank you for your informative and very entertaining videos!
Garrett you give me the jump starts on filling the nail holes, repainting with flat paints, getting the dimmers, getting rid of the two loveseats and in fact getting rid of the living room altogether 😅. Negative space and good traffic flows are beautiful.
That dining room pic with the double light fixtures looked spectacular! Everything looked more in balance. Loved your tips as well as the ones pertaining to safety/fire hazards. Have a great upcoming weekend, Garrett!❤
Garret, such a great point about model homes and window treatments! I never noticed it, until you mentioned it. Thank you for another great video! Love that, for you!❤
Thanks, Garret, for this very informative condensed segment about design and decorating! I appreciate you sharing your expertise with us and your joy in helping us!
Option B with a little pup like Arden thrown in for good measure, gosh cockers are so cute and he's a doll! Thanks for another practical and common-sense video. Design doesn't have to break the bank and trends are just that-trends (short-lived). 🙂
Love your videos. I've spent the last 3 1/1 years updating my condo and I find it very ordinary. I've updated some of my furniture and my bathrooms. Hoping to re=do my kitchen in the coming years, but I love my space!
B Let’s say you want an Art Deco look. A sofa with classic lines like that will achieve it. It will work equally as well in a midcentury room. It can also play well off antique mahogany case furniture. Imagine that sofa with some jewel tone velvet cushions.
Excellent work Garrett. Hugs to those cute babies! 🥰🥰🥰🥰 I definitely agree about decisions in decorating are based on the budget but in my situation it also means location. Living on a tropical island and humid climate means durable and fade resistant fabric and rugs as well as marine grade metals due to corrosion issues. Sand, water, intense sunlight and climate makes decisions a challenge but so worth it! 🌴☀️🦩☺️😊😍❤️🥰❤️🥰
I wish I had watched this before I ordered window treatments (Roman type blinds). I ordered them to fit inside the frames, and some of them scrape/bind a bit when being raised or lowered. AND they leave 2 feet of wall exposed above the windows. But they cost $9K so I have to live with them for a long time!
Hello 👋 Arden is so sweet ❤I go for A although I don’t like either but B if it was out of my budget like I get it. I’m in love with that marble rectangle coffee table I absolutely love it but I can’t afford it so I opted for a marble top with oak legs in a unique design and I’m happy with it. That pizza 🍕 post was sweet 😂
Look b, because look A, the rug looks really busy and so does the coffee table and look A the sofa looks a bit off with the traditional rug. Look B looks more balanced in contrast and easy on the eyes paired with a simple modern sofa. ❤
Good Morning Garrett, Thank you for the vlog. Arden is so sweet and for sure he loves to be with someone and love his look😍 I like the option B maybe I can bring the coffee table from option A to B:) I guess if the space is huge with high ceilings then for sure option A will work better. Your advice on reverse google search gives the novice home designers an idea as how to go about any design that you want with an affordable budget. The choices are plenty just get the head sorted first and yes any time a clutter free and dust free house makes a good interior to start with🙃 Have a wonderful weekend, see you soon..xx
Arden is very sweet and gives allot of love and companionship to Cornealius. We are so happy about that. He is already such a big part of our family. 🐕🐕🪽🪽
Oh, the look on your face at the 8:29 mark... I can see that this curtain business is really important to you. You have that look a priest has when he says, "You really need to go to Confession immediately." LOL!!
I saw a woman , on one of the other design channels, take her shower curtain up to the ceiling like drapes. I rather liked it. Hi Arden. Cornelius is the king.
B, if I do B I will feel less guilty changing things out for new pieces. However, I am a big fan of buying high-quality traditional rugs so I might splurge on that.😅
I like the sofa in A because it looks more comfortable, but my budget says B. I'm a minimalist and save for everything. Everything else in B is great. I might save for A or buy it on sale. I know, I know, one or the other. I have a home made coffee table. My husband made it.
I love so many things about your channel, but my number one favorite thing is that you focus on design, and not on trends. You taught me how to think more objectively about my surroundings, and I like my space more now than I ever have in my life. Thank you so much for what you do!!!!
Thanks so much! I truly appreciate your support.
I appreciate you being real. Most of us are just reg folks wanting a pretty and functional home that doesn't put us in debit. Great tips
My pleasure!🤗🤗🤗
I like A. Unfortunately, I have champagne taste on a beer budget.😂
Definitely B even if I had enough allocated for A. I could buy B, take a trip, and invest the remainder of the money - after booking a consultation with you, of course!
B. I actually like that sofa much more.
Yep. A is OOGLY.
I like Option B. If both A and B were the exact same price I would still like Option B. Hi Arden!
🐕🐕
Garrett you really deserve more subscribers. Your videos are always gold. 👑

Happy to help! Looking forward to it.
A for sure!
Thank you bunches, as always, @Garrett LeChic, for your thoughtful, encouraging design advice! Much appreciated!

Thanks so much! I appreciate your support. 🐕🐕🌈🪽🪽
I liked this video. I like examples and positive action.
Wonderful video today! One of the best! Recovering from a medical thing and so nice to see you and the pups! Much ❤ to all the LeChic fam!
Thanks for watching! Feel better soon.
Garrett as soon as I move into our new home(a new build) I’m going to seek your help. I’ll be needing all the things!
Sounds great! I look forward to it.
B. However, I would absolutely do another color scheme
I've never been a fan of red and black.
Red is a hard color to use. It's too intense.
Black, for me, is awful and shows all the dirt.
Thanks, Garret, for this very informative condensed segment about design and decorating! I appreciate you sharing your expertise with us and your joy in helping us!
My pleasure!
I’m at that life stage that I can live that decor fantasy too!
😊😊😊
B looks more inviting
So young yet wise... love the couch... love the pup more...no word yet from the star people but I'm spreading the word throughout the land.
👍👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Love uou Garrett! Thanks for keeping us aspirational! 😊❤❤
Always!
Love Arden….so cute!
B. I am for ease of care and traditional styley.
My sofas are velvet. Velvet isn't just classic, it's forgiving of cats and german shepherds.
Agreed!
Oh Arden!! LOVE!
🐕🐕😊😊
Option B for certain!
I like B style
Option B with a little pup like Arden thrown in for good measure, gosh cockers are so cute and he's a doll! Thanks for another practical and common-sense video. Design doesn't have to break the bank and trends are just that-trends (short-lived). 🙂
Thanks so much! Arden isn’t a Cocker Spaniel. He’s a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Both very cute, but fairly different. 🐕🐕
Option B. I honestly just like it better.
Definitely B. Love your dog❤️
Thanks!🐕🐕
I would vite for sofa B, Arden is precious!!!❤
Thanks!🐕🐕
Definitely A
So glad you joined the family of Cavaliers. They are the best.
Japanese Chin, are also an amazing breed!
Garrett,this is a fabulous video… what an inspiration !!!
Thanks so much!
Coincidentally just ditched silly frilly valances in kitchen today.
Loving the look of the couch in Look A but because of ease of care... Look B
Love your videos. I've spent the last 3 1/1 years updating my condo and I find it very ordinary. I've updated some of my furniture and my bathrooms. Hoping to re=do my kitchen in the coming years, but I love my space!

I would take sofa in Look B but use the rug and coffee table from Look A

A definitely if I had an endless budget 😂
Look B, I don't care for the other couch personnally
Agreed!
I liked option B. Hi! Arden. So cute
🐕🐕🌈🪽🪽
Garrett, you are a savior. Thank you for touching on window treatment for baseboard heating.
👍👍👍
Option B
I would vote for sofa B!
Arden is gorgeous!! ❤️
Thanks so much! He is a beautiful and sweet boy. 🐶🐾
The double dining room light fixtures are amplified with the wall mirror, a good choice as it is an alcove without a window.
I like B…oops this was for live chat 😮
Definitely B.
A and B I like the sofa in A and the table in B and carpet lol
I wish I had watched this before I ordered window treatments (Roman type blinds). I ordered them to fit inside the frames, and some of them scrape/bind a bit when being raised or lowered. I wouldchoos e B. More to my taste and happy to see it was the more affordable option :-)
I missed your video on its premiere day because I had a family emergency. All good now & I can now enjoy the knowledge & joy you bring 🤩🌸
No worries. I fully understand. Thanks so much for watching when you could. I appreciate it!
Hi Garrett. Arden is a darling 🐕. Love your content: technical and so engaging.
Thanks so much! I appreciate you supporting the channel. 😊 🐕🐕
Look A. That sofa is pure class, and looks sooo comfy!
Oh, Arden is so sweet.
🐕🐕😊😊
I just love you and this video! You are so real.❤
Thanks so much! 😊
I absolutely love look B. Typically I have very expensive tastes so now I'm a little bit worried.😅
Arrangement B.
I would pick B because I'm 175cm (5'9") and a couch must be long enough for me to lay down on.
Hello 👋 Arden is so sweet ❤I go for A although I don’t like either but B if it was out of my budget like I get it. A !
Option B but I love the rug in A and don't care for the sofa in A
Definitely B! A couch looks to low to the ground and more modern to me.
Arden is like "why u do me like this?"
😂😂😂 that is exactly the look
Neither. I would prefer vintage English cottage. That’s been n my preference for a long time. Suits my century home.
Look b, because look A, the rug looks really busy and so does the coffee table and look A the sofa looks a bit off with the traditional rug. Look B looks more balanced in contrast and easy on the eyes paired with a simple modern sofa. ❤
Look B!!!!!
Not being able to touch Arden is torture!
🐕🐕 He’s a sweet and soft pup, but also a bit sassy and very intelligent. He loves attention.
@@GarrettLeChic takes after you?? 💕
@@margaretspignardo5588 Me? Sassy and loves attention? Never!😂
Hi Arden! Such a cutie! Love Cornelius too! Stay out of the pizza! Lol! Love the look of choice B. 👍🏻❤️
Thank you 🤗
I liked A, and would buy one piece at a time as i cluld afford it. Another great video.
Thanks!
Good Morning Garrett,
Thank you for the vlog. Arden is so sweet and for sure he loves to be with someone and love his look😍
I like the option B maybe I can bring the coffee table from option A to B:)

I like look A because i dont like the sofa’s high sides in look b
B for sure
I like look B , before I saw the price. Sofa on A, I was thinking looked ugly, and if I did sit on it, Id probably need help getting off of it, haha
Option B couch🖤 Arden is too cute! I saw the pic of Cornelius 🍕
😊🐕🐕😊
We have a Blenheim Cavalier at home! Cavaliers are the best ❤️ love your channel Garrett from an og LeChic fam 😅
Thanks so much!🐕🐕
I prefer B overall, and sofa A would be hard to get up off for me and husband.
I like A's rug more but B overall.
Option B sofa looks better.
B that couch in A is too lumpy looking for me.

Style B. I like the table better in A but not the couch.
Is that the Bright Tech light behind you Garrett? The one on your Amazon store? It's gorgeous
Yes! It’s such a good lamp!
