He was actually a permanent actor in SV sekars troup. In one of the SV Sekars drama conducted at Pitti Thyagaraja Hall in T Nagar during interval all actors were hounoured with memanto. At that time it was Manager cheena who got the maximum applause. It is only after that he was removed from the troup. I was in the hall on that day.
During my childhood I went to a sv sekhar drama and during interval I was able to listen to him scolding a lady at a very loud voice (I was sitting far away from the stage). Then I understood he's not really a jolly person in real life.
Old people like these are perhaps the last generation with such genuine naivete and pure innocence. There're many old people like this in Villages, but he's unique as a MetroCity-bred person.😀

Watching him since Doordarshan days, ivara matiri innum silar irukkiranga, Typist gopu, Adade manohar, kaathaadi ramamoorthy, ARS etc., As a 90's kid, appo laam ivanga comedies romba rasanaya irukum, no cringe, double meanings etc., nalla family comedy genre ah paathu enjoy pannom, after watching him now, i dig up olden days. Manasuku kashtama iruku, namakkum ivalo years thaanditom nu.

But still he memorised and acted nonchalantly. Mobie world missed one of the great conedian with unique body language and voice. He is so good in charecter as he didnt even showed sv sekar in bad light, despite sekar doing injustice
