    Great for water sports....Rentals $us110/day kites. Add another 20 for winging. $90 to 110 windsurf. $10 to 30 for a nice meal. Be careful of extra taxes ect. Safe. Cheap local sardine vans to Sosua and Puerto Plata (100 DR Pesos)

    Jetski and Atv tours available in town, not Puerto Plata?

      Jet Ski rentals don’t happen in Cabarete though you can do ATV tours and rentals in both Cabarete and Sosua.

    Hi charles great video ,whats the best time of year to come for strongest wind ?

    • @charlesosterlund7303
      @charlesosterlund7303 10 месяцев назад

      Good wind year round with “pros and cons” to both good times. Our winter which is now till March let’s say has wind and waves though floats around 10-18 knots and up (yesterday was out in 18-20 knots+). Our summer has the strongest wind though in theory less waves. Still some waves to ride in and have fun though winter we can get proper over head+ waves to either surf, kite or wing. Also more foreigners here in winter while half that in summer. Either way it’s not over crowded on water… also summer is hot hot and winter a more balanced temperature.

    Hey , Charles , thanks for your video, I just wondering if it is convenient to fly to Puerto Plata then punta cana or santo Domingo ? The other question would be rentals in Cabarete , windsurfing rental gear. thanks Charles .

    • @charlesosterlund7303
      @charlesosterlund7303 11 месяцев назад

      Puerto plata is most convenient though some times most pricey. Depending on difference better pay the extra to arrive here quicker and more seamless. In terms of equipment and lessons we at Liquid Blue offer those services though also their are a handful of schools around that also have equipment on island. Let me know if anything, all contact information in the description.

    Hey, Charles, thanks for your great vids! Any recommendations in getting from Punta Cana to Cabarete? Our flight arrives in the afternoon, so is there a bus you can take in the afternoon to get to Cabarete or nearby (like, Puerto Plata) by that evening?

    • @lbcabarete
      @lbcabarete  Год назад +1

      Hey Brian! Super to hear you are coming down. Depending on how many people and the time despite the taxi price being high it is quickest and most reliable way. The bus is really long and someone do not enjoy - also depending on time or arrival you might have to wait (almost all comes out same price). I would recommend taking a taxi which might run you 300-400 USD depending where you are going though get you there with 5-6 hours instead of taking a full day.

    Coming to Cabarete in Feb. more options to fly into STI than Puerto Plata. Any issues flying into STI mid day? Is taxi best way to get to Cabarete fromSTI?

    How expensive is it to buy gear there? Would it be cheaper to buy the gear there or buy in United States and pay for shipping

    • @charlesosterlund7303
      @charlesosterlund7303 Год назад +1

      Hey Russkie, buying gear on island here matches USA pricing essentially wether buying new or used. If you need any help message Liquid Blue and they can help you out with F-ONE Equipment wether new or second hand. If you are looking for other brands there might be some dealers on island though depending on what specific equipment stock might be on island or not.

      @@charlesosterlund7303 thank you for that info. What all around kite would I need for a 180lb rider? I am average

    • @charlesosterlund7303
      @charlesosterlund7303 Год назад +1

      @@russkielol depends for which spot? Cabarete? Winter time between 11-12m and Summer time between 9-10m (This is for Cabarete other posts would vary). This will depend on the kind of board you ride if surf board, twin tip and the size. Few factors to consider.
