    Excellent full walkthrough. I'm going to be taking my first lesson in about a month. I feel like it will be very helpful to have already gotten this explanation walking into my first lesson. This way, during the lesson, I can focus on the feel of the kite, the board, and the wind, rather than simply focusing on the instructions. Cheers!

      I'm almost 61 and ...
      Picked up a new toy (second hands) as an early birthday, Christmas, New year, gift to myself.
      Each time I see these video on RUclips I really got that feeling of wanting to experience it myself to fly over the water on a foil.
      As my previous windsurfing run dates already something like 40y ago ...
      As I never did ; wave surfing, wake boarding, kite surfing, snowboarding, ... I know it will be a challenge.
      It looks easy and smooth on RUclips but reality seems waaaaay different.
      And as I don't like cold weather (and cold water) the days of good weather with wind are limited here on the lake.
      But if you wish to do it and don't try it ... you loose and maybe will regret of never tried.
      .
      Now waiting for good weather conditions to get out for the first time with this setup.
      Oh yes, I also got a Cabrinha Cross X2 Wing of 6m

      @charlesosterlund7303 2 года назад

      Hey Tom! Learning on RUclips is one of the ideal ways to practice before and after a session since there is so much content out there!
      When I started 2 years ago +/- I used some of the earlier videos to get the basics and then with time refined and put it all together.
      If you have the chance to get some pointers by other rides with more experience or hire a coach/instructor for a few hours you can definetly get lots of progress in that way as well.
      If you are planning to come down to Cabarete let us know! We have had various RUclips Viewers visit us here in Cabarete wether just to ride and or learn to ride! Send me an email and we can get in touch - can give some pointers on where to stay/etc...
      Fall is a great time especially if you are flexible. Keep an eye on the wind/wave forecast and you can find some great times. Anything above 10-12knots will work and usually we are around 15/18 knots with some moments being 20-25+.
      Bottom line is we have conditions for a good time year round! Lots to do both on and off the water.
      Warm and windy regards Tom,
