Can't go wrong with the Supremes, I recommend "My World Is Empty Without You", "Love Child" and "Reflections". Theyre my personal favorites from them. And your chair dancing is impeccable as always, Angie! lol Keep it up 😊🧡💚👍
This #1 hit followed "Where Did Our Love Go" and "Baby Love" and was followed by "Stop! In the Name of Love" and "Back In My Arms Again".
Five straight #1 hits that were all written by Holland/Dozier/Holland and produced by Lamont Dozier and Brian Holland.
Brian and brother Eddie Holland are still alive but Lamont Dozier died eleven days ago.
Love it. Play more Supremes! So many great songs. They were badass. She still is!
Love Diana Ross and The Supremes! Great song and reaction! Reflections is another great song
The Supremes had an amazing 12 #1 hits between 1964 and 1970, including 5 in a row back in 1964-'65 and 4 more in a row in 1966-'67. You can't go wrong with any of them. And that all came after they struggled mightily for some 3 years trying to find the right style and songs. When they finally found their groove (and hooked up with songwriters Dozier, Holland, and Dozier) nothing could stop them.
We all fell in love with The Supremes. Glad to hear them again!!!
A trip back to my high school days 🤗
Yup. Me too.
The Supremes were part of the Motown sound. Growing up, I listened to a lot of Motown hits on CKLW Detroit/Windsor. I don't think you can go wrong with any Supremes song. I recommend "Where Did Our Love Go" and "You Keep Me Hanging On."
Yes- remember their call tag? “CKLW - In the motor cities!” Strongest a.m. station in Detroit, cuz Canada allowed more power!
136 KGB San Diego.
A lot of those Motown acts would appear on the after-school or early evening shows on CKLW TV (Channel 9). Great stuff!
The Supremes were huge and helped change America.
Such a great group! They did a lot of great songs. My personal favorite has always been "My World Is Empty Without You".
Mine too, love it to this day.
They were so popular in my teens... in the 60's and so on........ great music and great reaction,,, thank you Angela !!!!!!!!!
This is off topic, but Mary Wilson of the Supremes competed in Dancing With The Stars a few years ago. Naturally she was eliminated after just a couple of weeks, being the oldest contestant, but I was upset. I was just thrilled to see one of the Supremes again. I loved them.
Love this song and the Supremes in general
Always a classic.
One of the best songs EVER, grew up with them.
They changed the game for female vocal groups!
Boy the sure did didn't they. Love all their songs
Absolutely
Imagine a 10 year old white boy turning this all the way up in a '72 VW with the metal dashboard and one tinny sounding speaker an A.M. to boot.
I can, I easily can!
Motown harmony blending in with the funk brothers band it was a great time to be around for the Sound of Young America 🎼🎵🎶
Yes, indeed. The Supremes were huge on Detroit radio in the 60's. The hits, as they say, just kept on coming. This was one of them. 🙂 Good reaction, Angela. Keepin' MoTown alive!
Thanks for one of the "feel good" songs from my young days!
Come See About Me was the Supremes' third US # 1 hit. It topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for two nonconsecutive weeks (December 19th 1964 and January 16th 1965). The Supremes had 12 US # 1 hits between 1964 and 1969. The only group to have more # 1 hits on the Hot 100 chart are the Beatles with 20. The Supremes have more # 1 hits on the Hot 100 chart than any other American group, female American and non American female group, African American group and female African American group to date.
Lovely song. Such talent, beauty and class. Love them!!
Love Flo & Mary powerful background vocals...RIP..❤ In Music Heaven
You really, really went way back with these legendary ladies featuring the great Diana Ross whom the late, great Moonwalker Michael Jackson loved so much!!!!The Supreme's are forever legend's and the song's are legendary!!!!! Keep doing your thang beautiful ❤️😘, fine Lady Angela!!!!!!
Now that's pure great music. Loved some Motown. Play more!!!
One of their best! Good suggestion!
Baby Love, someday We'll Be Together, You Can't Hurry Love, My world Is empty without You Babe, Where Did Our Love Go, You Keep Me Hangin On, Reflections, The Happening, Love Child, Back In My Arms Again. Lots of classics.
They had 12 number one songs the most of any group other than the Beatles - my favorite you should listen to them doing “you keep me hanging on”
I listen to "itching in my heart" all the time thanks
Awesome music 🎶
You Keep Me Hanging On I think is also great
Diana Ross and Supremes so good and timeless music. This music will live forever!
Amazing songs of Diana Ross. You needs reacts to - Eatin Alive, Muscles and Who. 👍🙂
There will never be another like the supremes! The greatest!
Thank you for the Supremes. They were for a long time Motown's number one group .Try" I hear a Symphony" ",Someday We'll Be Together" or" Love Child" thanks again Angela!
The Supremes were a great group and a big part of Motown
Thank you for the LOVE 💕
The Supremes were magic! Try "Baby Love" and "You Can't Hurry Love"
Now that's how you chair dance!😊
Ohhhh Good music 🎶 🎵 👌 Supremes!!!
Love Motown music, enjoyed your reaction.
Dianna Ross has such a soothing voice 😌
All their songs are good !!
First they were called the Supremes. Then it was Diana Ross and the Supremes. Then Diana went solo and the group was the Supremes again.
My favorite Supremes song!
Love this song! Other faves are “Baby love” and (Baby) where did our love go?” Which happens to be sampled at the end at the end of “Tainted Love”(where did our love go) by Soft Cell- Many have reacted but only to the short version where it stops before the wonderful “where did our love go part .” 😩And they miss the best part in my opinion.. Great instrumentation and suck a groovy vibe- I won’t even watch unless I see that it’s the long (which isn’t really long) version- just can’t do it, drives me crazy! Especially when they say,”Damn, I wish it was longer.” It is!!😂 Loved your reaction Angela, would love to
see you react to the ones above- 👆🏻🙂💖✨
Diana Ross and the Supremes were 2 steps above Bad Ass in there day.
Always love the Supremes.
They were a class act
The Supremes were massive!
Do ‘Love Child’
Should do one for the 50's - the Ronettes, Little Richard, Fats Domino, Bo Diddley, Elvis...
❤ Supremes
Superb 👌
one of my fav songs is Stormy.
Mary Wilson was such a doll, eh? 😍
R.I.P Flo Ballard and Mary Wilson
Listen to The Letter by Joe Cocker featuring Leon Russell.
Could you please react to LOVE CHILD, it breaks my heart 😢😢when I hear it. ONE OF MY FAVORITE SUPREME SONG!.
Check out Jr. Walker and the All Stars version of Come See About Me
Interesting fact ,Mary Wilson (the one on the right) shacked up with Tom Jones for a number of years despite Tom having a wife and family in England.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😍🤩
These were Black with Class ! What Happen to that today ?
When ‘singing’ was actually about vocals.
ANGELA : YOU NEED TO KNOW : THIS VIDEO HAS THE SONG PITCHED UP WAYYYYYY TOO FAST ! I KNOW, I WAS THERE WHEN IT CAME OUT, & I DANCED TO IT, BACK IN THE LATE FALL OF '64, EARLY, '65. THIS IS WAYYY TOO FAST HERE ! ---------------------MJL, 75 Y/O
Is this song sped up? It sounds much "faster" than I remember
You should check out some Smokey Robinson :)
Angela, you're so beautiful!
this song reminds me of the Ford Mustang
No woman from that musical time period beats *Ronnie Spector* for talent and sexiness in my book, although I do like The Supremes and Diana Ross was gorgeous.
Mary Wilson was better looking
hi, can you play when i need you, by leo Sayer, am sure you'll like it..thank you..
Angela - All those Supremes songs are great! Thanks to Holland Dozier Holland who wrote all of them. And actually, Lamont Dozier just died a few days ago. Mary Wilson who is one of The Supremes hated Diana Ross. She refused to work with Diana ever again. And she didn't. But the songs are great. No doubt.
A great song, but I don't much care for this version (the pitch and speed are way too fast - maybe an upload issue). In any event, I strongly suggest that you take a listen to the original studio recording, which is a true Motown classic and one of my favorite songs. ruclips.net/video/_CF3OsncGjU/видео.html
The tape is running way too fast!
