Fuk ... born in 53, this was the music of my teen years, changed my life forever. And I knew this was gonna happen before I even hit the play button, I'm weeping like a goddamn baby as I listen, over and over.
Born in 55 and remember hearing Ray Charles laying on the floor of my dads 56 Pontiac Star Chief and we were bothsinging "Hit the Road Jack" with Ray such fun times and then in 67 at age 12 The Doors Lp the first Record i paid for and i was off.. Long Live the Doors
I'm 59 and I feel you. I remember it all even as a child hearing these tunes in the car.
Doing LSD for the next couple weeks,,discovering this is,,gonna add a few more weeks 😮
Long after living life goes on.
Yep
Robby Krieger is so unheralded in rock history... We all need to remember his greatness
YES!!!!!
Do it again 🙂
So underrated and he's still touring!
the band of geniuses
Underrated by who
Jim was one of a kind, no one has replaced his energy.
He's definitely missed
You cannot petition the lord with prayer, you cannot replace jim morrison
There was nothing fake about him.. he just let it roll... nothing like getting your freak on and getting PAID!
Same goes for the rest of the band, most people focus on Jim but in my eyes each member of the band were equally gifted, they were one of a kind, immaculate some may say, one of my favourites bands of all time and the first I turn when I feel low, their time together was short lived but the quality and quantity of what they created during that time was astonishing and totally unique and will never be equalled, Jim was the Lizard King but could only do anything with the Doors behind him... Gotta run, got my SG and Robby trying to teach me, no matter how much I try even with the man himself can't recreate Mr Krieger feel
It,s very good album
@@mikalouhema1590 yes I've owned it for 40 years
I'm 60 years old grew up with the doors Jim Morrison is one of my favorite singer-songwriters.
I love how Jim's father instigated the Viet---- merica wor
This is absolutely brilliant.
I love the Doors.
I love you Jim Morrison.
You opened my mind when I was 14. Now I'm 52.
Rest in Peace brother 🙏
Fits todays enviroment.
His music is timeless, tone is rock in a pure but "doors only" melody. A gift to the listeners
Jim Morrison thé greatest star in music history
@Black Sabbath Matters ... all gone Too Soon. 👍!!
I'm 53 y/o now. I had a life size poster of Jim that completely covered my closet door when I was fifteen. I visited his grave in Paris in the early 90s. Me and my wife at the time got kicked out of the cemetery by security for openly drinking wine in the cemetery. I had a glass of red wine at his grave site. Yeah! It was his spirit......
@@rolex3560fantastic! Hope i do the same some day 😁🤘🙋🏻♂️
I love how he's lauging, then...lets get serious and just tears it up like a boss. The LIzard King is forever.
+edna fuson I know man! nobody Usually are able to do that these days! long live the el rey lagarto!
edna fuson Exactly what does the Term Like A Boss mean ??? cuz I'm old and it doesn't make sense to me junior 👕
edna fuson so amazing!
Dirty Whiteboy doing things your own way;taking charge...look up "like a boss"-lonely island
Dirty Whiteboy @ 50 I'm considered old, too. I gathered it's from the hysterical song from "Lonely Island." You're never too old to stop knowing what's going on. There's still some great things happening, despite all of our society's insanity. PEACE!
Man, that voice. Wish he sang more blues tunes. Love this here one the most.
Whiskey gravel timber in his voice.at 27 Jim was falling apart. God bless him.we'll never see the likes of him again.
we'll never see the likes of 20th century Los Angle-eaze either.
I haven’t heard this song in about 40 years. What a great jam.
This Song gets your knee tapping. Rhythm and blues at its best. Jim’s voice influxuation and Robbie on slide guitar make this a masterpiece. RIP Best psychedelic classic blues rock american band in history!
I've wondered and wondered if that was slide guitar...it's not in the credits that it is...
' Gets your knee tapping ' ?
My favorite Doors tune right here!!
@@adriennetabakow8588no I think a kazoo
Jim's laugh at the beginning is a gift from the recording gods.
Richard Langford one of those guys who can just muck around and get straight into it. Legend
The Jews ? Lol
Dig it.
Supposedly, Jimbo🦎👑was a funny guy!! Long live The LEGEND ❣️The LIZARD KING❤️🔥
Just the serendipity. Of them getting together 🕸🌤💕💕
Jim and the Doors have been living in my head since i was 10 in 1967 .
Couldn't ask for better tenants. Long live the DOORS !
Indeed.
Living in my head since a classmate gave me a Copy of "No One Here Gets Out Alive" back in '83? '84??
Still born 1984 and lovin this band.❤️
@@Gutave same. the eerie feelings I still get when I hear any of their great tracks. like this one.
"i've been down so god damn long that it looks like up to me", first lyrical line i ever related to.
are you Joes bro ?
until seeing it typed out, i never understood the line... I thought "up to me", meant its on him to solve something.. .but he really meant, "down looks like up", because he's been experiencing it for so long.
Classic blues line
Thanks dude........
Laughable when it's coming from a California rich-kid.
I visited his grave in Paris and left some flowers I bought on the street. It was early in the morning and already there were 10 ppl there. This was in 1987. Glad I made the stop. I’ve been back to Paris three times but haven’t made it back. He was magnetic
me too - a good feeling bin there
Went there in 1989. Lots of moody French people dressed in black wearing shades. The headstone had gone. Also went to the flat, guess I should have taken a snap. That was my high point in Paris.

These guys are timeless so amazing today.
This album proves The Doors would have eased into the 70's without a problem, right along with The Stones and Led Zeppelin. Unlike some 60's bands The Doors would have been a major driving force through-out the 70's and beyond...
Absolutely! In fact, there was a huge resurgence of interest in the Doors in the late 70's and early 80's. Ray Manzarek then said Jim was way ahead of his time...and he still is!
Yes sorry lm no engliesh
I’d say they already did and are currently easing right on into 2022, there music is timeless.
@@mitchelllambaiso9746 absolutely! Always will be! I can thank Jim, and the Doors for easing me out of bereavement! Music really is my special friend! Can't forget Ian Astbury or the Cult of course! Considering Ian fronted the Doors for 150 shows!
@@raymondsearch5289 much of the band’s music still sounds brand new!
Love the Doors stripped down to their blues bones.....just a raw jam here; I love it!
Love the foot stomping heaviness of anger, rage, depression and hopelessness in this so g, soundtrack of my life. Sounds pessimesitic, but one of Jims greatest talents aside from his stellar voice and poetry is he channeled his PAIN into a creative outlet that millions across globe could relate to. God bless him for beimg a trooper the way he was, in midst of his pain and emotional scars. Not an easy task when your a depressed poet
Must be the guilt from the role he was playing to distract society whilst his dad was responsible for millions of people dying! Weird Scenes Inside Laurel Canyon. Read this book. Then read about the gulf of Tonkin incident - and not the wiki state sponsored version lol 😂
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
As a Deadhead, ever hear their cover in 66 when they were still just a primitive psychedelic bar band? There's one or two recorded versions, circa Nov/Dec 66. It's a happy little tune in their approach. Much different lyrically, as all these old blues songs were depending on who did them.
GDF
Great points!! Great band!! Manzerek sort of set them apart from other bands too. (I think he is on keys and some songs are centered around that keyboard) I can say as an artist, an always starving one however, that creating art is essential to any chance of climbing from that depression (as you say) or frustration of words failing us. All too often words pale to ideas. Jim M was not starving by The End (pun very intended lol) but obviously always frustrated. Lucky us. 🫤 Too bad we didn’t get another decade or more of his genius.
He died shortly after this song... But he still jams here in 2024
😅😅😅😅😅😂
And will live on forever! Did he father any children?
@@phriedokra6158Not any that we know of…
Ultimate according to rock standards. Jim was legend still is no doubt🎉❤🎉❤🎉
LA Woman is one of the most distinguished albums ever made yet its so simple and brilliant. True legacy music that will always live on into future generations.
icyhotmike true DAT brother...
icyhotmike barely, I love it but every person my age listens to the shitty new rap
Not such a fan, much prefer waiting for the sun personally.

Favorite album, favorite band. Don't know how many times we played this in college, drunkenly bellowing out the lyrics. Still my favorite (a long way past college).
Love that!! 😎👊👏👍
Woohoo I love everything about Jim😎Ohhhh yesssss
Never heard this version before and its f*king great.
F**King GREAT. !
:)
Born in LA in 1968 myself and have heard The Doors in the womb,One of the greatest bands and Gentiles to ever form a band.No more refined music can come from the heart and soul. There is no other and never will be again.Lets cheer with a drink and celebrate who we are and know,Our future depends on,life will never end....Peace Froggy,:):)
Мне 74 но Джим меня гипнотизирует так же как и в молодости. Джим-великий фронтмен всех времен!!!
There's no other group like them nor will there ever be. The 50's and 60's was the best of times We were there for it all! Glad to see the younger generations dig on this great music.of times for music. Nothing today can touch it.
L.A Woman is their masterpiece. Makes you wonder what greatness they could have put out in 72' or 73'.
It makes me tear up to know this was the end.
Or by 1975 or 1983
Other voices, Full Circle & American Prayer, I guess...
Robby is one of the best ,most versatile guitar players ever!
The Doors music is always playing at my house. Been a fan forever and will always be.
One of the very best of the genuine blues-rock masterpieces from this legendary band. Jim Morrison's voice had just the right combination of hard-living, hard-drinking and shop-worn pained qualities for this final album to carry this off as the perfect blues gem here!
1 untouchable doors ❤
Dude was beautiful man
I have never heard this version. His vocals are incredible, especially how he kicks it off.
Robby on guitar killing it
running free what did you expect?
The Doors had the best musicians of any 60's band in my opinion.
Do it, Robby, do it!
With a little help from Marc Benno on the second guitar.
Hired Elvis's OKd Bass player to play on it, & that just thrilled tga hell outta Jim!! Whenever I'm down, I listen to this & Hank3 Lowdown!!
50 years later were still listening and digging this incredible music from L.A. Woman from The Doors.
“I see myself as a huge fiery comet, a shooting star. Everyone stops, points up and gasps "Oh look at that!" Then- whoosh, and I'm gone...and they'll never see anything like it ever again... and they won't be able to forget me- ever.”
― Jim Morrison
oh man........ that's a fucking awesome comment.... we will never forget him....
Haha. Been an inspiration to me for almost 30 years
@Patriot America Jg so is corona virus!
Fucking awsome mitigat
Right on, Jim. Pretty good, pretty neat.
What a rock and roll voice! Thanks Jim
This song is seriously BRILLIANT 🎶
Take two ist der Hammer!!
I' m so thrilled! I've been listening to the Doors since I was 12, and I'm 50.This is intertime experience!! I love you Jim!!!
cooll
Im 76 and had the good fortune to see them in Toronto along with a mirade of other GREATS like Clapton and Lennon all in one CraZy day ! Nothing like JIM on stage ! ❤
So very raw, genuine and creative yet so very familiar and iconic. The Doors were all of those with just 4 very musically and intelligently gifted guys who gave us a lifetime of original, open minded doors of perceptual musical creation that is etched in ears and hearts of millions of people for a eternity ✌🏽♥️
Infinite Icon.
Thank you Doors, great Song 🙂
I was 13 when the Doors came out and now I'm 68, they are Rock Icons for sure, from Gator in Melbourne Fla. "Rock On" 🎸🎸🎸
Legendary band way ahead of their time. Daily required listening!
No they were at the right time at the right place, in all the hearts, souls, minds of us children of the 60's and early 70's. You cannot petition the lord with prayer,
I am also wondering where this "ahead of their time" is coming from...
This a a very raw, spirited great performance. Marc Benno is also a great guitarist who played on the album and deserves credit. Brilliant Jim still shines so bright
Whenever I'm really down, I find one of these tunes, alternate version, or concert and I'm in a entire, opposite state. It's better than therapy. Maybe it is.
Love this song. Robbie is just a beast like no other. Its reslly even hard to compare him to anyone specific cause he did his own style. His attitude now, then and thru the years was stellar. Much more free, and laid back, in his own mind. He's playing these unique riffs, and cuts and it's like he's not even trying and killing it.
What a TUNE!!!!!!
THis is terrific. I shouldn't be surprised that Jim Morrison wrote a song from Richard Fariña's book by that title. Great still shots of the boys in the recording studio. Thank You for this!! Cheers from NYC!!!
Robby's slide work is fantastic- no wonder Jim wanted it on all the songs....
Kit Potamkin that's a lap steel though
@@neilbell5296 That's still sliding!
@@neilbell5296 that is called electric slide guitar genius.
Robby Krieger is the most underrated guitarists of all time. So versatile, so many textures...and always spot on!
He's a wildly underrated guitarist.
"I've been down so very damn long, so it looks like up to me." I love that. It's the perfect double meaning. Jim Morrison is a lyricist on his own level.
Brutal drums. Nonstop thump. What a song.
Not sure why but i just woke up and had to here this song tonight. Morrison was a poetic genius. I in fact had a book of his poems that I cherished and stupidly let a so called friend borrow it and no matter how much I asked for it back he would never return it to me. Can you even imagine?? Pure hard core lyrics and rock to go with it. How lucky were we to be alive to witness Morrison and all his genius.
Genius
HIS LAUGH in the beginning just MELTS my heart and makes me smile , I had to start it over just to hear it.
My goodness.... Jims voice and this whole song is perfect
Jim Morrison is my Spirit Animal!! This is one of the best songs I ever heard Jim sing!! I love when he does straight Blues!! #Legends the Lizard King is Life!!
I love this! Jim was the kind of singer you wanted to play your heart out to.
Very kick ass.

I love you, Jim
Thank you for keeping this music alive.
The best recording I’ve ever heard
Missed Me. Mojo Rising. Thank you for the tunes, and your old man for his service.
Killer quality...
One of the Best damn bands I ever had the privledge to see; I remember it like it was yesterday; No other band can come close to this raw & rare music. Jim was (is) in a place only he belongs. Loved his rare smile!
Yes
And his belch at the Hollywood Bowl concert in between songs. Hahaha
Wow what a take 🎶

This is good and Densmore drums just make it perfect...
Love that slide guitar greatest sound I've ever heard stirs my soul everytime.

Forever man. Forever band.
Some of the Doors blues songs perfectly capture the energy and style of the early blues musicians going back to the early 1900's the American South.
I think howlin wolf would have liked his music maybe not him as a person though. the wolf was usually sober
Great visuals. Great track.
I need a whole new, old seventies wardrobe now. With extra hair, please.
Long live The Doors.
This is so goddamn good

I love the Doors. Thank you Jim for all you Musik!
Beautiful voice
This is best performance for this song
The Doors got me into Rock and Roll at the age of 13 or 14 when I was growing up in Yugoslavia (never former). The first song that I ever heard was the Roadhouse blues live on a newly bought Walkman. They are still relevant, very much so.
Happy Birthday from beyond. 🦭
Very COOL version
Love this song, and album. The doors were a truely special band. One of the best.
Greatest group ever in my humble opinion. Pure soul
Only eclipsed by the Beatles
@Scott Harrison the Beatles are ass hell no
