Dil ko behlane ke liye khayaal acha hai
- Jammu was sold to play in hands of Kashmir way back on 26 Oct, 1947 when Sheikh Abdullah grabbed the power from Maharaja Hari Singh.....The main motto for all this was to make Kashmir as the new power centre....From then onwards discrimination with Jammu & Ladakh started
- Dogra rulers of Jammu right from Maharaja Gulab Singh to Maharaja Hari Singh played a significant role in shaping J&K as a state you see today.....Boundaries of J&K were extended to Ladakh, Baltistan, Gilgit at the time of Maharaja Gulab Singh
- Jammu Dogra rulers who were Hindu though ruled in a Muslim majority region of J&K but never discriminated against muslims & provided them aids, scholarships, armed force recruitments but unfortunately with advent of Sheikh Abdullah in 1930s with his Muslim confrence things changed drastically.....He started giving hate speeches, promoting radical thoughts to over throw Maharaja Hari Singh since he was a "Kafir" (non muslim) ruling over muslims....All these events led to poisoning of minds of common muslims & revolt against Maharaja Hari Singh
- Sheikh Abdullah was very clever, cunning & was a very close aide of Jawaharlal Nehru....Maharaja Hari Singh had no plan to remain independent as it's stated by many historians but Maharaja wanted to merge with India & he sent his proposal for merger in July 1947 but Nehru didn't paid any heed
When on 22 October, 1947 Pashtun invaders backed by Pakistani army attacked Kashmir then Maharaja's J&K state forces comprising of Dogras fought against them for 4 consecutive days delaying their reach to Srinagar & during this attack the muslim soldiers in Dogra army betrayed, sided with Pakistani tribals & killed their Hindu counterparts....Later on 26 Oct, 1947 Maharaja Hari Singh signed Instrument Of Accession & then Indian army landed in Kashmir to fight invaders.....Maharaja never wanted Sheikh Abdullah to get power after accession but it was Nehru who forced Maharaja Hari Singh to handover the power to a radical Islamist Sheikh Abdullah whose party name was Muslim confrence & later renamed as National Conference

Jammu division especially Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, Reasi are Dogri speaking districts & people residing here are Dogra....We have our own identity, dress, folk songs...Just like Punjabi is written in Gurumukhi, Dogri has its own script for writing known as "Dogra Akkhar" (derived from Brahmi/Sharda script)
