After independence India was ruled by such haiwan gunda families in many place. Gopal Krishna Gokhale and thinkers likes of him argued that India will go to anarchy since its population does not know ABCD of governance with very few skilled people knowing this subject. One part of reason that RJD got 75 seats in assembly polls is due to lack of a credible alternative and thus in parliamentary polls when people see other alternative they get less seats. Other part is people from age group 20-30 were either not born or were too small to remember the 'jangal raj'. We have to keep in mind that the same age group , most of them are neither well educated or skilled ( because of abysmal education system) and thus they find their heros in ' bahubalis' ,so its also poverty of aspirations here. Now I don't support genocidal comments like 'swarno ka sanhar karo' in the name of social revolution we have to ask how many of backward classes have benefited from the policy of that period. Yes they got guns and stick in their hand but not jobs or education. In other states too there is division of caste and class but here in Bihar it was state who jeopardize development for vote bank unlike other states .
Raj I am 44 years old.I had to run away with family from begusarai because gun wielding Gundas started blocking my wat to school and one night start knocking at our door with guns in their hand...thankfully I had completed my 10th..In 1997 we fled and arrived in Delhi...and after that I only went back in 2006 after Nitish took over .....in the 90s it used to take 5 hours to travel 40 kms....whatever this guy is saying is only 10% of what it was like

Everything he is saying is absolutely true. My sister's father-in-law was kidnapped in 2003 and was asked ransom of 12 lakh. Also, one gyno doctor living hardly 400-500 metres away from my house was kidnapped and she was asked to give up all her property..
I remember my father was back in 90's working for Bihar government in one of the state division and he didn't get salary for 6 to 7 consecutive months. He came to us and with tears in his eyes he asked me and my sister to give him our piggybank which had some money which we have received on various occasions from our parents/relatives. I still can't forget this moment from my childhood and when I see people defending people like Lalu or his party even the Indi alliance I feel pity for them!

I am a Bihari. My district is Jehanabad. In 1999 more than 150 people from Bhumihar community were slaughtered in Senari village by RJD, CPIM and CPIML backed Naxals. Then, CM Bihar Rabri Devi did not go to Senari village and told his minister Ramashraya Singh that Ramashraya ji go to Senari village your community people has been murdered.😢

Lalu's Gundas used to roam on bikes with guns to make sure no one votes. Lalu also made sure no leader can come up and become popular. Otherwise their children would either get kidnapped or mercilessly killed. It was only Nitish kumar who was able to win when EVM came. Nitish kumar is also not good for bihar but atleast better than lawless jungle raj. That's why people vote for him.

I was born in Bihar but grew up in Delhi NCR in 90s. Bihari word was equivalent to a slur and the amount of dismissive and contemptuous behavior I had to go thru on a daily basis was unimaginable. One of my Hindi teachers actually said my classmates were not using it as a gali but in a friendly way. This is all because of Lallu, who has sold the pride of Bihar. What Lallu did to Bihar and what Nitish Kumar is currently doing to Bihar is a crime. They have ruined the future of the young generation and have destroyed the fabric of Bihar for their vote bank politics.
See, exactly this is the problem, you could have said as a bihari I am proud of him but no, that person is from your caste and that is why you are proud of him! Even though I am from Bihar and one of the Sawarn caste, we have never voted for candidates who belonged to our caste, in fact the MLA candidate who was from our caste, we never voted for him because he was corrupt. As a Bihari and particularly a 90s kid, I did spent my childhood in fear. I remember almost every incident he mentioned in this podcast. My parents also didn't include my title in my name or my siblings name just because of the wide spread castism in Bihar at that time. We tell Nitish Kumar is a "Paltu" but in his tenure from 2005-2010 he really took great initiatives to improve the situation of Bihar. After that he obviously made some political mistakes that he should not have done but he is the person who improved the law and order situation of Bihar from a complete Jangal Raj. People who are still voting for Lalu's party RJD should understand that Lalu has done nothing for Bihar, he only divided the society in cast and religion for his personal benifits. I will surely go to Bihar in the coming state assembly elections to cast my vote for the right candidate and will request every Bihari who is living outside Bihar to please go to Bihar and cast their vote to the right person. Thanks a lot Raj for doing this podcast. I will request every Bihari to share this podcast to their family WhatsApp groups, so that the younger generation should also know what was the situation of Bihar in 90s and early 2000. मैंने अपने बड़े भाई को खोया है १९९८ में, दिन दहाड़े पटना में मेरे भाई को बीच सड़क पर गोली मार दी गई थी और कोई नहीं पकड़ा गया था। भैया bike से घर आ रहे थे, और घर के पास वाले मोड़ पर किसी ने उनकी bike छीनने की कोशिश की, भैया ने bike नहीं दी और आगे बढ़ गए पीछे से उसने गोली दाग दी, हेलमेट को पार करते हुए पीछे से गोली सिर में लग गई, और on spot भैया की death हो गई। उसे न bike मिली न पैसे मिले लेकिन मेरे भैया की जिन्दगी चली गई। और साथ ही हम सबकी जिंदगियां बदल गई। किसको दोष दें, अपनी किस्मत को या लालू राज को नफरत सी हो गई लालू के नाम से, प्रशासन के नाम से। बिहार से भी नफरत हो गई। पटना तो जाने की हिम्मत भी नहीं होती है।

As a 45 year old Bihari , I can assure you what he mentioned is just 10 percent of actual truth. Luckily I was studying outside of Bihar at that time .I remember waiting for 6 hours at Patna railway station and for sun to come up before starting to get a bus for my village. I remember the caste wars, kidnapping without impunity. I remember people getting lynched for even small issues in public transport bus. People carrying guns and swords for their safety. I saw police getting beating from criminals by belt in front of whole public and running away. Schools were without teachers. Hardly anyone used to go to school. Exams were not happening and 3 years course was taking 8 years to complete and it had become a norm to not complete education courses. I mean you could have killed anyone and no one bothered. Police was non-existent. 2 of my relatives got killed by Bahubali. My maternal side was massacred by Maoist and their whole house blasted and burned using dynamite . One of my relatives head was cut slowly and his dying screams was made heard to whole village using Mike to instil fear . His wife became mad because she couldn’t bear the pain and no villager came to save him. police didn’t even come after the incident happened , such was the situation of law and order. We had to send our women of our families to their native villages so they can stay safe and not get raped. I get shiver thinking about those times.

Champa Vishwas Rape' case is a case in which an IAS's wife, her mother and several maids were raped for 2 years and they could do nothing even if they wanted to. The entire system had proved to be dwarf in front of Mrityunjay Yadav, the rapist goon son of MLA Hemlata Yadav, who was very close to Lalu. When IAS Vishwas complained about this to Lalu Yadav, he laughed that this keeps happening - keep quiet, at least you are alive. While fighting this battle, IAS DD Vishwas passed away. His family left Bihar and still roams hidden out of fear, living a life of anonymity and humiliation.

But the emotion of centre not embrace each state , their people, their culture is there in many states .

I was born and spent the first 12 years of my life in Sitamarhi, Bihar. I left Bihar after completing my 5th grade. During my time there, I witnessed four murders, numerous kidnappings, and booth capturing in my village. Tragically, my uncle was among those murdered, and despite 22 years passing, we never received justice; the case is now closed. In 2007, my family and I left Bihar. Although we still own agricultural land and a house there, we rarely visit. Sitamarhi still suffers from inadequate medical facilities, lack of good schools, and limited job opportunities. As a child in the early 2000s, my parents never allowed me to go outside. My name used to be Vivek Raj, but in the 9th grade, while filling out the registration form for the 10th board exams, I added my surname. Leaving my childhood home was incredibly painful and remains one of the most difficult experiences of my life.

The objective of exposer visit was to study about governance . Development and law and order. We were 10 development professional from Nepal. In that time Nitish Kumar was chief Minister. We have visited many rural parts of Bihar . Before the rule of Nitish Bihar was ruled by Bahubali protected by Lalu Prasad Yadav. We visited more than 1000 people. After independence India was ruled by such haiwan gunda families in many place. One part of reason that RJD got 75 seats in assembly polls is due to lack of a credible alternative and thus in parliamentary polls when people see other alternative they get less seats.
Other part is people from age group 20-30 were either not born or were too small to remember the 'jangal raj'. We have to keep in mind that the same age group , most of them are neither well educated or skilled ( because of abysmal education system) and thus they find their heros in ' bahubalis' ,so its also poverty of aspirations here.
Now I don't support genocidal comments like 'swarno ka sanhar karo' in the name of social revolution we have to ask how many of backward classes have benefited from the policy of that period. Yes they got guns and stick in their hand but not jobs or education.
In other states too there is division of caste and class but here in Bihar it was state who jeopardize development for vote bank unlike other states .

I remember my father was back in 90's working for Bihar government in one of the state division and he didn't get salary for 6 to 7 consecutive months. He came to us and with tears in his eyes he asked me and my sister to give him our piggybank which had some money which we have received on various occasions from our parents/relatives. I still can't forget this moment from my childhood and when I see people defending people like Lalu or his party even the Indi alliance I feel pity for them!

Lalu's Gundas used to roam on bikes with guns to make sure no one votes. Lalu also made sure no leader can come up and become popular. Otherwise their children would either get kidnapped or mercilessly killed. It was only Nitish kumar who was able to win when EVM came.
Nitish kumar is also not good for bihar but atleast better than lawless jungle raj. That's why people vote for him.

I was born in Bihar but grew up in Delhi NCR in 90s. Bihari word was equivalent to a slur and the amount of dismissive and contemptuous behavior I had to go thru on a daily basis was unimaginable. One of my Hindi teachers actually said my classmates were not using it as a gali but in a friendly way. This is all because of Lallu, who has sold the pride of Bihar.
What Lallu did to Bihar and what Nitish Kumar is currently doing to Bihar is a crime. They have ruined the future of the young generation and have destroyed the fabric of Bihar for their vote bank politics.

As a Bihari and particularly a 90s kid, I did spent my childhood in fear. I remember almost every incident he mentioned in this podcast. My parents also didn't include my title in my name or my siblings name just because of the wide spread castism in Bihar at that time.
We tell Nitish Kumar is a "Paltu" but in his tenure from 2005-2010 he really took great initiatives to improve the situation of Bihar. After that he obviously made some political mistakes that he should not have done but he is the person who improved the law and order situation of Bihar from a complete Jangal Raj.
People who are still voting for Lalu's party RJD should understand that Lalu has done nothing for Bihar, he only divided the society in cast and religion for his personal benifits.
I will surely go to Bihar in the coming state assembly elections to cast my vote for the right candidate and will request every Bihari who is living outside Bihar to please go to Bihar and cast their vote to the right person.

I am from Bihar ... as a bihari, from this podcast channel I would like to recommend to cover the story of some scientists, environmentalists, their contributions etc. Please bring the family of Vashishtha Narayan, so the youth generations of Bihar and others inspire.
As a 45 year old Bihari , I can assure you what he mentioned is just 10 percent of actual truth. Luckily I was studying outside of Bihar at that time .I remember waiting for 6 hours at Patna railway station and for sun to come up before starting to get a bus for my village. I remember the caste wars, kidnapping without impunity. I remember people getting lynched for even small issues in public transport bus. People carrying guns and swords for their safety. I saw police getting beating from criminals by belt in front of whole public and running away. Schools were without teachers. Hardly anyone used to go to school. Exams were not happening and 3 years course was taking 8 years to complete and it had become a norm to not complete education courses. I mean you could have killed anyone and no one bothered. Police was non-existent. 2 of my relatives got killed by Bahubali. My maternal side was massacred by Maoist and their whole house blasted and burned using dynamite . One of my relatives head was cut slowly and his dying screams was made heard to whole village using Mike to instil fear . His wife became mad because she couldn’t bear the pain and no villager came to save him. police didn’t even come after the incident happened , such was the situation of law and order. We had to send our women of our families to their native villages so they can stay safe and not get raped. I get shiver thinking about those times.

During my time there, I witnessed four murders, numerous kidnappings, and booth capturing in my village. Tragically, my uncle was among those murdered, and despite 22 years passing, we never received justice; the case is now closed.
In 2007, my family and I left Bihar. Although we still own agricultural land and a house there, we rarely visit. Sitamarhi still suffers from inadequate medical facilities, lack of good schools, and limited job opportunities.
As a child in the early 2000s, my parents never allowed me to go outside. My name used to be Vivek Raj, but in the 9th grade, while filling out the registration form for the 10th board exams, I added my surname.

The objective of exposer visit was to study about governance . Development and law and order. We were 10 development professional from Nepal. In that time Nitish Kumar was chief Minister. We have visited many rural parts of Bihar . Before the rule of Nitish Bihar was ruled by Bahubali protected by Lalu Prasad Yadav. We visited more than 1000 people. When Nitish became CM of Bihar governance of Bihar, law and order and development had been improved gradually. Mr Sharma’s findings are real which we have found by our exposer visit.
