GTX 1050 / GTX 950 is probably the sweet spot. 1050s are more power efficient though and a lot of them don’t require a 6 pin PCIe connector either. Maybe even a 960 if you can get a good deal on one (or if you can find one cheaper than a 1050 which is often the case here in Australia!)
and does its rival the AM3 (Phenom II) install win 11 24h2 with requirements disabled? It'd be interesting to find out, and see if the bios is up to date for the core2quad 6600 and see if that changes things. Could also let it try to boot it off a DVD version.

I do have an AM3 board and a Phenom CPU somewhere around here I can test this out on. I’ll record something and upload it.

If you don't game and just need something for office work and internet the Q6600 with a Quadro K600 and 4 GB ram will work perfectly!

@@malachkah you're not wrong but I find modifications to windows 10 are easier and more reliable since people have been doing it for longer.
core2quad isn't the best anymore by a long shot but its still viable for day to day use save for modern gaming. But its far from useless
try newer games like alan wake 2 or gta V 😅
