Okay but how did you make an animated cutscene, another skin, two stages, a small open world and many more in just in a matter of two days? I mean seriously, everything even looks heavily polished too! How does one developer finish all of that in four days, alone?
The fact that someone made a fully fleshed out open world is really impressive. The Open World challenges are quite different from Frontiers which made for a fresh experience. It's more about finding secret areas using your moveset and momentum which I really dig. Challenges are insanely tough to get 3 stars as well. Outside of optimization (which is getting a patch) I think the open world is very well made. Could use some more tutorials in the starting area though. Cyberspace is fun.. but the ranking is terrible. You almost have to backtrack or at least take lower paths to get an S rank. It makes the S rank of 1-2 in Frontiers look like a cakewalk. xD Overall all tons of fun and lots of potential. Would love to see more areas outside of Planet Wisp eventually.

Super cool! Very spooky atmosphere. I love the idea of exploring open-world versions of past stages (unless this is meant to be a brand new stage, in which case disregard lol). Hope to see this develop!
It makes you want to play the game and just wander around the map, the gameplay is incredible, and it's great to be able to run with Sonic on a very large map
IMO probably the winner of Sage, because this fan game does not seem amateur at all. Great movement, accurate physics that are simular to adventure, no speed restrictions like how recent modern sonic games did, and overall just a great presentation. Not a fan of the voice of Sonic but other than that it's fantastic.
10:14 actually shocked me! the coloring of the fur, the dark metallic color on the shoes. it says "comic styled" but it gives memories of the opening of sonic unleashed or sonic colors
It is actually a reference to the Spider-Verse movies, the creator is a fan of Spider-Man, especially the Spiderverse, and he put that skin as a reference, it even has the 20 fps effect that thousands had in the movie, he even said want to put more Easter eggs about the Spiderverse in the next update
Does anyone else find it impressive he made 28 minutes of non stop gameplay even a professional sonic player like Sonic Overtime couldn't just breeze through, thats pretty impressive. This game has also made me think whether Sonic open world should be more linear, would be nice to see.
I really like how the controls appear for this game. You can have good stages or an interesting environment but if the character doesn't control well, it's not fun to play, just take a look at '06. Here, the controls appear to have momentum and a wide variety of skills and abilities to break the game if you know what you're doing. The controls seem like a mix between Frontiers and Adventure 2.
This game is what the next Sonic game should be, i love the boost mechanics and unleashed is my favourite game of all time but if this is the next Sonic game I have NO complaints. Now I see people comparing it to omens and I'll say this, Omens for as much effort they put in is fundamentally broken. The infinity engine they used for the game was an old build which allows Sonic to fly all over the place resulting in cheap deaths making even good level design difficult to traverse however this Horizon engine is from it's base nearly perfect so any level you put him in will be fun to play even if a bit empty. The only way to fix a game with broken movement is through automation but the player can be trusted to do basic things in this game because it controls well.

Sonic Team seems to be heading the in the right direction though, so I got quite a bit of hope for the next game.
The fact that this was made in Unity just amazes me! There's no way someone could make an Open Zone Sonic game in one of the most simple yet effective graphical engines!

Man unlike modern 3d Sonic it actually feels like you keep relatively the same amount of speed and momentum whenever you switch over to a 2D perspective. I don't understand why Sonic Team purposely caps your speed to such a slow slog whenever they do it, but its good to see you actually CAN do it.
This already plays infinitely better than pretty much anything after Sonic Adventure 2. The more we move away from slippery movement and the boost mechanic the better.
Not again... For the last time, there's no need of that! The slippery movement, Yes. But not the boost, because I'm already tired of people just bashing that formula! Remember that mechanic only works well when well-executed. Something that SEGA hasn't been doing before Frontiers. If you miss the Adventure formula, it's okay. But just for that you don't have to bash the most recent Sonic formula!
Literally what I wanted sonic frontiers to do in germs of terrain in the 1st 0 seconds alone he jumps a ramp made FROM the cliff not a Ramp built into the cliff❤

The Cyberspace looks genuinely more interesting than frontier's cyberspace theme-wise. Along with the SA momentum, this is definitely my favorite aspect of Sonic Horizons😊

Very nice, I liked the Cyberspace Stages the Most, Good Level Design.
you did an excellent job at making it feel snappy. the high gravity and fast homing attacks are great.

Backtracking needs to be minimal then, nobody likes constant do overs.
Other than that, the cutscenes are lit.

We finally got the final boss we deserved and a proper ending this was one wild ride I still can not believe this was free DLC.
