A simple video showing you how to get around 8-12 million credits in the first 20 minutes of gameplay in X4: Foundations. No cheat, no glitches, just gameplay.
The amount of credits you get depend on luck, as the setup of the abandoned Odysseus ship is somewhat random. Sometimes you get it with the 2 main battery weapons which will greatly increase the value you get out of it. In my testing I was able to get anything between 8 and 12 million credits.

Thanks. With the crystal mining nerf it took me ages to get the Eclipse or something that doesn't immediately die. And by the time I got it, half of Hatikvah's Choice has been wiped out by Xenons. I guess I'll restart with this now.

There is also a few other ships around the galaxy to acquire too, smaller M and S class, but the M class in Company regard is worth grabbing for cash too.

Nice, that's how I made my initial capital too! Then I traded equipment (buying adv. Satellites for ~48k and selling for ~78k + ARG Ion guns 1M -> 2M, Terran engines, Terran shields, etc.). Made my first billion real fast and also ruined the economy, which them promptly exploited by regular trading.
Another good way once you have an M class ship you can buy advanced satellites from equipment docks that sell them cheap and sell them at wharfs for a huge profit, then once you progress more fleet and station build missions are great too.
I Love the Build fleet with just 3 destroyers I Board SCA destroyers and have them fly to the waypoint once they are repaired.
You can never have too much dosh on this game.
Strange. I'm sure when I sold that ship separately from its parts, I only got 5mil for the ship and about 3mil for the parts. So in the end it all added up to 8mil.
Yes, that's around the minimum you get if you're unlucky with the setup. It's random with each playthrough.

Love this game have it for a week now. And spend 50 hours in.
I allways hunt for abandoned ships to work for me, I'm more interested in gaining more networth And cashflow by using free ships than a lumpsum of credits.
Though I do sell off the SCA Destroyers I boarded in to the argon in the Argon vs Xenon quest chain.

The loadout of the ship is random. Sometimes you get lucky with higher quality items and weapons.

Wow its like selling a cow that gives milk :) why not just sell some of the parts of the ship buy marines and flyby board the shit out of that traders and miners making millions of millions in profit :)
Not really possible early in the game. You need the money much more than a crippled big ship. You don't have the funds to run a ship like that in a long time.
@@OrcCorp you no need money to do that. just sell some satellites buy full marine crew, go to any mining/trading sector better lawless or just with gates distant from any station, and board every L/XL ship you see without shooting it, sell boarded ship, repeat untill u are satisfied with amounts of money you have.
@Mightimus ah, yes, the quick and dirty pirating exploit. Or you could just use a cheat engine to get 50 billion right away. Or use some of the mods to make your experience completely different. Many ways to play this beautiful game.
You do you. All good and fun. I'm not trying to tell people how to play their game, I'm just showing an easy method to get a good jump start early in the game. If you feel different about it, don't sell the ship. Play as you like 👍🏻
@@OrcCorp in my recent post regarding this tactics and if it's gonna be fixed on X4 steam page developers said: "it's not exploit, but completely normal advanced gameplay loop" :D
@@OrcCorp TY. I was wondering why the hell sell the thing? The "COW" analogy is what I was thinkin, but more along the lines of Merc Army/Bounty Hunter than pirate. I'm recent Steam sale new.
Utterly pointless game... it's so broken, one can just simply not play it, and instead accept the fact that one would 'make big bucks and win' anyway.
Even without any tricks, it's just a matter of time. You could be running your starter ship with an AI pilot back and forth making 1 credit of profit for each run, and you'd still become a billionaire after a billion runs.
