My man you did a better job selling the DLC than Egosoft did. I was going to buy it anyway to support the devs but I wasn't plan on really playing it. Now I absolutely will. I want those ships!
Absolutely spot on, I'd bought it, didn't particularly enjoy the first mission, and struggled to work out I was meant to jump on the coat hook. Hearing Mr Rugged Gamer getting so e cited make me realise I'm gonna have to do them all tonight ❤
Pretty brazen of ES to clearly copy/aquire the exact Frameworkof of this iconic B5 Ship. For a small Dev to do this takes some big Balls. I aproove. Be nice and shoot those Xenons.
The Sapporo first appeared in X BTF, which was released around a month after Crusade ended, and a year after B5 did. It has two different forms in its appearances. The Sapporos in the cutscenes had no spinning section, but the one in the tutorial that commands the X does. The one in X4 is mostly based on the latter, so it's probably a retrofit of the original 2146 ships.
Canonically, Sapporos can survive reentry and landfall. The Dragonfyre crash-landed on Argon Prime shortly after the Terraformer War, and it survived and was repaired. It was the first flagship of the Argon Federation.
Thanks for showing these. I bought the expansion but haven't played it yet. The plane you couldn't remember the name of is the F-117 Nighthawk. The Odachi does look like Star Citizen ships and one in particular - the Hurricane. It's a glass cannon heavy fighter with one big turret and a couple of support weapons. It's one of my favorite ships in SC, so I'm a big fan of the Odachi as well. I agree, the Dart is beautiful. It actually looks like a speedboat that rides up above the water, especially with that nose "wing". The F does kind of look like the Yaki Moreya. Both are among my favorites. The Experimental Shuttle is vying with the Odachi for my favorite ship of the expansion. I've wanted one ever since I saw it in the promotional videos. I think the Sport ships are stupid. They should have come up with more new or throwback ships with original hulls instead. Oh well...
Man the Sapporo also immediatly reminded me of the Stiletto from the Game "Nexus - The Jupiter Incident". I don't know why but I just love the rotating part on a ship, even if it does or doesn't make sense.
Funny you should mention Star Citizen. When I retrieved the reward Odachi after "earning" it the 1st thing to pop into my head was that RSI and Aegis did a collaboration ship. It has Zeus MkII and Vanguard Sentinel written all over it. I'm enjoying Timelines greatly, it's a nice break from the normal X Universe game play.
The experimental shuttle looks so cool has a good base speed but its weapons suck, they hit hard but they are all over the place.... will still use it as it looks so cool😊
Those Xenon ships are so different to the original Xenon ships. But I didn't even know that they had brought out new ships in this DLC. There was nothing I could see in any of the preview videos. I was going to delay getting tise Timelines DLC, but now there are several new ships to play with, and paint jobs, I'll have to buy it PDQ. As for that Stealth Fighter. It's the *_Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk_* you were thinking of.
Thanks for the Video. Oh nice those are some really awesome re-designed versions of the old X Beyond the Frontier ships , nice. Especially the X-Shuttle , the Xenon H and the Sapporo finally look cool after not seeing them for 7 games or so. Well i guess the Sapporo we could only see for like 5 minutes in the entire history of Egosofts X Series , since it was only visible for a short moment right before X - Beyond the Frontier really started. That said , the X-Shuttle or X-Perimental Shuttle or Experimental Shuttle , is actually the reason why the first game was called X - Beyond the Frontier ... makes sense now ? Man , its soo cool seeing these ships again after so long and this time in pretty. Who said the DLC is bad , these Ships alone are worth the money for people that are fans since XBtF.
I think the new boosting sound is exclusive to the Frontier engines, which are fitted to the Xperimental Shuttle, Cutlass, Odachi and Sapporo. They all come with the Frontier equipment, including engines, shields and weapons.
I agree with the B looking cool, but DAMN if it doesn´t suck in fights. And it´s not that the ship is BAD, instead, it BLINDS you every time you SHOOT! Those beams it shoots obliterate EVERYTHING, but you struggle to make out whether your target actually got destroyed or managed to dodge away due to how bright your shots are. And the Event Horizon was much more round at the bow, had wide, sweeping wing sections in the rear and looks MUCH more menacing.

Upon returning to the Sulaco, the survivors - Bishop, Ellen Ripley, Corporal Dwayne Hicks, and Rebecca "Newt" Jorden - discovered that the Xenomorph Queen from Hadley's Hope had stowed away aboard Smart Ass. Ripley engaged the Xeno- Queen in the Sulaco's hangar bay with a Power Loader used to load ordnance onto the dropships, eventually ejecting the Queen into space through an airlock. Hicks sent a distress call back to the USCM before the remaining personnel entered hypersleep. On the return journey to Earth, a Facehugger from an Ovomorph left by the Queen, made its way to the survivors: and cracked a Cryotube, spilling the Facehugger's blood and causing an electrical fire in the ship's hypersleep chamber. Due to the fire, the occupied cryotubes were jettisoned in a Type 337 EEV, which subsequently crash-landed on Fiorina "Fury" 161. The old ships have nuclear engines I believe is maybe the lore reason why they sound different, since they predate when every race switched to the energy cell based engines they use now. Since nuclear was deemed unsafe if I recall correctly, been a bit since I've delved through the lore.

The ships will make it worth it, but that will be only selling point to me. Thank you for sharing this info since they wouldn't.
Incredible. Instead of implementing them as regular ships (perhaps limiting access to them like high price, alliance with a faction, reputation...whatever) and enriching the game, they've released boring ass DLC which places one model per ship somewhere in the universe...i didn't know it was possible to fail at every step, but egosoft has done it
@@TheRuggedGamer, what i know is, that you only see the blueprint, when you lose your reward ship. Like with Erlking.....proof me wrong? Btw i had other paintmods on my reward ships.

Finding new trade rotes is part of the game Go to station do some talking Buy/sell info Invest Use Also Sending suport to traders … not cast effective They cast much more then the trader does And almost never protect the ship There has to be some logic on protection automation Protectors go to fight Transport escape But inserted you gat Protectors go die And transport makes a travel into suicide If you have a big ship in area Transport first priority when attacked has to be fly for protection Or if there is gate nearby fly thru gate I would of a knowladged if it dependent on Quality of ship commander Level of stupidity But it does not In x3 it was better Lots was worse But those aspects were better
As a new player to x4 that really liked the ships. This dlc doesn't respect players' time as it take way too long to restart any of the missions. A all the stuff is locked behind getting high ratings on some of the missions. I think its the worst dlc i have ever bought and i bought oblivions horse armor.

This is only ships, will you make a video about the sectors and the free ship locations ?
Thank you
Yes, I mentioned 4 of the 7 sectors in this vid
It is a shame Egosoft just didn't come out with this info directly. Everything I've seen on the DLC I really dislike...and I buy all Egosoft DLCs. This was first I decided to skip. The ships will make it worth it, but that will be only selling point to me. Thank you for sharing this info since they wouldn't.
They have! - Its on the steam page as a spoiler =)
I hate when DLC just *gives you* free items in a sandbox.
They should be added to the faction rosters and hulls / blueprints made available for sale.
The big question I have is: Do these ships unlock for AI factions too? If only I can use them, I don't really care, frankly
As far as I know Player only
Yeah...I am adding primary weapons.
Incredible. Instead of implementing them as regular ships (perhaps limiting access to them like high price, alliance with a faction, reputation...whatever) and enriching the game, they've released boring ass DLC which places one model per ship somewhere in the universe...i didn't know it was possible to fail at every step, but egosoft has done it
Elite Sport - Its in the game 😏
new weapons?
117
the stealth bomber
I only see a small problem…i hate those timelines missions! Cant get pass chap.3!!!
You could capture xenon ships but they were some of the hardest for there rank in x3.
F117 stealth fighter
i though it was Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird
Or the B2 stealth bomber
@@LeoSiegfried SR71 is the recon jet from the 70s-current day. You should check out the SR72 that is ready to fly.
Out of all the choices, I also thought about the F-117 stealth fighter.
I want more than one Odachi lol
You get the blueprint
@@TheRuggedGamer, what i know is, that you only see the blueprint, when you lose your reward ship. Like with Erlking.....proof me wrong? Btw i had other paintmods on my reward ships.
new faction?
Ive not showcased them yet
THX
Death stroke is now a furry. Calling it now.
Want support egosoft. So I have bought timelines. Bur..want to olay ,,big space” not timelines but…also wana new ships :( ..Hmmm situation
I would've even bought those venture-skins as mini-transactions...
...no, rly, just give me those damn skins,yo !!
:P
God it was bad. Cool ships though. Has anyone found the Xenon B?
Well … if all you get is few models
Then its not making me return to the game
The game needs to improve other stuff
Landed interaction
Ship combat so you don need to mico manage every ship for doing stupid suicide actions
Operation menu so you see massages from global view
Those things kill the game play
If you micro all fights
You cant expirience the movie when your ships fight as observer
Also
I think teleport system needs to change
Like build teleport on stations as addon and on big ships
So you can teleport but you need to do action to do it
And plenty more little things
Ships is nice
But game play needs fixing
Its a good game with alot of potential to improve
But …
B5 ship is a good add to the game
I do like it
But it changes nothing
Also the casual questing system …
It needs to be more … logical
They created platform for first person stuff
But its empty of content
One shop
Everywhere
One office everywhere
Station building
Is nice
But it misses the puzzle approach from x3
When you have to think
Where to place stuff so it can connect
Exploration system
You start new game and send chipest ships to explore for you
The approach is wrong
You lose the feeling of exploration
Instead they needed to force you go
Explore sectore
May be drone explore from your ship
Mark stuff findings on map
Then move on
Yes i agree som automation needed
But it has to be you
Else … the huge world they built is …as is you have no connection to it
Trade
I found easy way to make millions early game
No cheating
Exploit of vanilla mechanic
But its a space !!!
Finding new trade rotes is part of the game
Go to station do some talking
Buy/sell info
Invest
Use
Also
Sending suport to traders … not cast effective
They cast much more then the trader does
And almost never protect the ship
There has to be some logic on protection automation
Protectors go to fight
Transport escape
But inserted you gat
Protectors go die
And transport makes a travel into suicide
If you have a big ship in area
Transport first priority when attacked has to be fly for protection
Or if there is gate nearby fly thru gate
I would of a knowladged if it dependent on
Quality of ship commander
Level of stupidity
But it does not
In x3 it was better
Lots was worse
But those aspects were better
so these are all ships you only get 1 of each? no way to build more?
I have H but not timelines. No need to waste money
As a new player to x4 that really liked the ships. This dlc doesn't respect players' time as it take way too long to restart any of the missions. A all the stuff is locked behind getting high ratings on some of the missions.
I think its the worst dlc i have ever bought and i bought oblivions horse armor.
Dislike for not telling where the fu is the ships except Otachi. said it was in getsufune and was there. Very rare video which make me angry.....
The scenario locations are mentioned, and I led what info I was given myself, ill do another with fill locations of where to find them hopefully soon
Ya im oretty pissed off... spent the last 6 hrs trying to get padt the 2nd fkn mission playing on controller is fkn shit!!!! Try to turn a little bit and it turns like its pushing the wasd.. dosent feel analouge at all!!! Gonna go download a mod to get those ships in open world and go back to palying this game from the fkn map!!!
Elite dangerous this is NOT!
You dont need a mod, check out my latest video! (in about 30 mins!)
Will do thanks! I do like the game but im just frustrated as i havent been able to pin down keeping the nose on targets without overshooting them despite playing with the sensitivitys that only seem to affect the walking around camera and not the ship control... appreciate the reply
