I can’t remember the name of the metal I think it’s called Galium. It’s a metal that eats other metals. I would love to see someone pour that inside a running motor to see how long it last before breaking down.
It needs good contact with the bare metal to get started. An oxide or sludge film would keep anything from happening. You'd have to at least put some scratches in the part that you want to compromise. Mercury does it too, but it is toxic.
@@thesquarerootofnegativei6225 fill it halfway with oil and the other half with galium I think that would solve that issue of it not being able to make contact with the metal because of the oil film.
Great video! IN the future, i would suggest doing the same experiment with gallium- make sure it is an aluminum block. Gallium turns aluminum into a semi-liquid that would be fun for a running engine! :)
Clean the top of the pistons (which have to be aluminum), screech them a bit, pour a healthy amount of gallium on, wait for a while for it to become one with the aluminum, then attempt to start the engine. It would probably become dust if done right.

Can you damage the aluminum engine block with gallium and see what happens?
Sounds like the aluminum in the radiator turned into salt and erroded. I'm guessing the iron has also converted into salts on the surface as well.
Nice bro soon you’ll be at 1000000 subs awesome Chanel no bs
Try mixing some gallium in with the oil of an engine with an aluminum block and see how long it runs, then tear it down.
Test Wd-40 as cooling liquid, please. To see if rust inside lada's iron engine block stops.
How do you see rust stop in minutes, and plus WD-40 isnt a lubricant like motor oil, if uou have rust in an engine it wouldn’t even run.
That purple smoke you see are iodine fumes
Poor Volga... But interesting experience!
Can you use the iodine to free up a rusted block?
it will corrode the metal if its aluminum at all.
Guys put security glasses and gloves please ! 😱😂
What would happen if you fill the radiator with hydrocloric acide that eats aluminum.

Better use Petroleum for flushing, works very good.
Idea : what happened with extreme overheating on engine ? Will it stop ?
The pistons melt and get stuck in the cylinders

It jams....
