There will be zero tolerance for abuse of power, if you are using more force than is necessary for the situation. If you are accused of racial profiling, you will be reviewed by a council of citizen and your record shared of your history, you will be decided by your citizens peers. They are going out into the middle of angry mobs that routinely repeated threats of physical harm and have literally resulted in people being hospitalised, and they are letting their guard down and surrendering themselves to the mob.

If I was gonna make a statement to the media as a person of that position or just as a regular civilian, I would've asked someone to read it over first. So when these people get called out for making cringey statements and then apologize Idk what to think. Of course there are people who genuinely say something inappropriate and are sincere in their regret. That right there, he had to know it was inappropriate. Looting is a symptom for of this upheaval, an opportunity for some to act a fool, sometimes agents of chaos to turn a peaceful protest into a riot, and counterproductive to the cause/protestors.

More than 150 attacks on journalists just in 3 days. Gov's putting in curfews just to give police free range to use violence against peaceful protestors. Have you seen one image of police stopping looting? No? Then why even have a curfew? There's plenty of images and video of police attacking store owners camped out outside there property for protection though. I won't accept a hug if you're using it to stab me in the back.
