The fact he didn’t want to kill his best friend but banished him that’s how much he still cared for him 😢
A mistake he will surely regret
His development will probably be the same as the one from the cybertron games, he will realize that Megatron needs to die.
Oh please. It's shit writing. They weren't even friends in most of the continuities and most certainly never friends in the very original.
And you betrayed... Me. Oh man that line hits hard, Hemsworth has earned my respect as a true Prime
Indeed. I know people were dubious about his ability to serve as a successor to the Cullen Legacy, and he may have a few rough edges for certain lines, but I was honestly pretty captivated by Hemsworth's portrayal of a young Optimus Prime. I feel like the Last Prime will be in good hands with him moving forward.
No not quite. NOTHING replaces the voice of Cullen as Optimus Prime.
@@Charles-um5hd..yes. obviously. we know this.
@@Charles-um5hd As much as I, you, and everyone will agree Peter Cullen is best Optimus Prime, don't give hope too long as what happened to Kevin Conroy with Batman. Someday that day will come eventually and have to find successor to reprised that role.
@@Charles-um5hd not you ignoring that transformers went 20 years without mr Cullen as Optimus lol
I almost cried at this part... UNTIL Optimus Prime hit us with the sad flashback of D-16 and Orion Pax promising eachother to have their backs no matter what... I cried like an ugly baby in the movie theater, some people even joined me 😭
I know!! Sentinel's true nature destroyed the brotherly love!!😭🫂💔
Shoot I don't blame you
I love that they still made Optimus's battle mask move as he talks.
It’s like the thing was fixed on his chin. 😀
That's not anything new. Not really impressive really.
“We were brothers once!”
“Once.”
This quote has a whole new meaning after this movie
(I know it’s not the same universe, but you look me dead in the eyes and tell me that matters! I can’t because I’m still sobbing… 😭😭😭)
It's a common theme in many transformers stories.
to be honest, it really was sad that the friendship those two once had, was gone the moment Megatron gave into the darkness, and crossed that line.
the way starscream, soundwave and shockwave were standing at the decepticon meet up was straight fire. this movie is PEAK
0:36- I love that little bit where Megatron's eyes briefly dim before regaining their burning intensity. Some part of D-16 still lives behind those crimson optics, and he was genuinely shocked and hurt at the notion that his friend would do this to him.
Orion had no choice but to do it as D-16 is too dangerous to be allowed back in the city.
Well D-16 did left him to die so...
He deserved it. He dropped his best friend into the well all for a petty revenge to kill Sentinal when he was already exposed for what he did. He thinks that after that Prime would just easily forgive him?
@@karakun1 As much as Orion still sees D-16 as his mentee/friend, Megatron's ambitions just like in TFP are to overthrow the council with force, except in the movie, the revolt is more violent. The only difference between the movie and TFP is Megatron was furious he wasn't given the matrix, but in the movie he already severed ties with Orion due to differences in how Sentinel should be punished right before his earning of the matrix of leadership.
@@nicholasleow6692In both universes, he truly became Megatron with a murder. In the Aligned universe, it was Halogen. In this one…it was his brother. Megatron in the Aligned universe went on to commit atrocities beyond description. This one…his future’s still unwritten. Only time will tell how far he’ll fall.
This isn't over, Prime!
Megatron(TFOne) - “This isn’t over Prime.”
Megatron(G1) - “It’s over Prime.”
High guard follow me D:
*transforms and returns to the surface*
I could feel the pain in Megatron's voice
We shall meet again,prime
For I am reborn
Considering both Orion and D16 are reborn to Optimus Prime and Megatron it makes sense
Optimus will always carry the burden of responsibility for what happened to Megatron.
It sadens me to see a good brotherly friendship is broken by hate and vengance.
Two brothers
United by friendship
Divided by destiny
This Megatron is different from a lot of other Megatrons in several ways, but I can think of one big way especially: he didn’t let a desire for _power_ or glory or anything so specific blind him above all else, he let something far more dangerous completely overrun his spark: pure hatred. Rage. Fear. Betrayal. Every Megatron feels these, but more often than not they’re always tempered by something, some reason or tangible goal. This Megatron is one of the most dangerous of them all because he has no such goal. He’s running off pure emotion, and his only goal is revenge against everyone and everything that he feels has ever held him down in any way. He trusts no one. He has nothing left. This is a Megatron with *_absolutely nothing left to lose._* And that’s horrifying.
At this moment, the two heroes walked on their own paths.
"We were brothers once"
"Once"
And thus, the greatest Rivalry began, and led to the longest million years of war that destroyed Cybertron, eventually bringing to Earth.
The fact that he was able to go 1 v 3 against starscream, soundwave, and shockwave and still win is proof you *NEVER* fuck with a prime unless if your megatron then have at it XD
I never go back because the transformations are some permanent I love that scene that make me cry😢😢
ive seen the story play out a lot
but watching it on the big screen was just heartbreaking
On god.... I cried when I saw this scene in theaters.....it hurt I know Prime and megs were bros but damn.....this hurt
“You have betrayed cybertron and his citizens and you betrayed me”
Other Optimus prime in another world “You didn’t betray me, you betrayed yourself” and kills him
This isn't over, Prime!.
Until we meet again, Megatron!.
"Autobots, Decepticons, like little children: always fighting, making a mess out of the universe. Then I've got to clean it up" - Lockdown
I hope that in the sequel, we could hear Peter Cullen and Frank Welker reprising their respective roles if they decided to.
I want to see Gary Chalk and David Kaye reprise their roles one more time
I think Peter Cullen might be done with the role.
Chris did very well with it. I day we give him a chance.
I was hoping they would’ve made a cameo in this film
Should’ve played one of the primes in the flash back
“You either die a hero, or live long enough to become the villain”
Megatron: This isn’t over, Prime. High guard, follow me!
Me: He lost all the goodness in his spark. And he’s becoming worse than Sentinal Prime.
His anger was beyond control, but to learn your idol had been murdered and you experiencing torture is too much for a sane person to take.
@@nicholasleow6692 Especially when His Idol was Murdered by a Fake prime.
@@nicholasleow6692I mean he let Megatronus prime's death get to him to the point where that rage consumed him and yet they had one goal to expose sentinel not kill him and Orion did that before he intentionally got in the way to save a traitor who didn't deserve the title of prime and at the end of the day I get the argument with people saying sentinel deserved to die but when you look at orion's intentions and d-16s they both had different ways of handling the threat to cybertron Orion wanted justice and d wanted to spill more energon then what was already spilled from the thirteen primes and if you look at their values especially after the news Orion didn't want to let trion down and he didn't he did what was needed even if it meant taking a shot for someone they we're told to take down who should've stood trial by the high council
christ... megatron ends up founding decepticons to bring civil war on cybertron...
...Heartbreaking. :(
This isn’t over prime
One of the only mistakes this movie made was making Bee around the same age. In most canons he’s one of the last (of not THE last) spark to be born, making war the only thing he knows. Transformers :Exodus (the novel) deserves to be animated ❤. Otherwise it was a cool movie and another cool version of how everything started
True
They should’ve made him a bit smaller at least
Chris Hemsworth sounded like Peter Cullen in this scene
They way he said PRIME bro
I love how he called him “prime” as a insult
They almost sound like the G1 voice actors…….almost
Perhaps that was the point
@@MiracleX19 🤷🏾♂️
This isn't over... Prime.
Ngl it was epic when megatron said “follow me” and all the deceptions followed
The true fans of Transformers know that Optimus Prime (Orion Pax) and Megatron (D-16) is has same level of EGO.
at least optimus has the matrix of leadership as the relic on his chest...
Sorry prime
The day when D-16 died
And Megatron was born😢
Dopest kid flick ever
Megatron be gone!
This movie show how two legendary members became friends into enemies through the history of transformers movies, series, and games this movie is the true Number One movie of origin how they're war became from past present and future ❤👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Optimus Prime being the leader of the autobot armies now how to make the most heartbroken decision for his old friend Megatron and exiled him from iacon capital city of the Autobots
I feel like he turned bad so quickly
My one brother betrayed me and his name is Frankie Arabia jr. and he betrayed me
Frankie Arabia jr. betrayed me when my ex girlfriend told me and my brother Frankie is like D-16 who is megatron
Fk Orion Pax for trying to protect Sentinel. He did the same thing Rodimus did, he got involved in a fight he shoulda stayed out of. MEGATRON WAS RIGHT.
To be fair, it was also his fight, he was already in it to begin with. It’s just that Megatron wanted it to be solely his discretion, and that brought the extra problem,
I’d banish him from Cybertron forever
Image having your -boyfriend- friend exile you
Megatron was 100% justified. Optimus Prime was the villain at this moment. 😡
Prime saw a monstrous future and wanted to stop it at its source. Megatron saw his righteous vengeance denied.
Justified in killing sentinel, yes, justified 9k wanting to level iacon to rubble and consider every person wanting to stop him after? That's on him, Optimus wanted sentinel to rot on a cell but killing him was probably better, Megatron after killing sentinel was acting out of fury and despair, lashing out at a world he perceives wronged him, his crash out Is understandable, but it is not justifiable in any way shape or form, he perceived every bot that try to stop him from burning iacon as a sentinel follower and so, a threat to eliminate, when everyone in iacon knows sentinel was a fraud, that's again unjustified, then the high guard gladly, followed his orders to destroy Iacon hence all of them were banished, it's unrealistic to expect Megatron to simply chill after killing sentinel, but attempted destruction of the capital was what got him banished
@@davidsamudio3899 Well said. Vengeance unchecked never turns out well. That said, what Megatron needed in this moment was someone to talk to about his problems. Banishment was a bandage fix at best.
He was justified in wanting Sentinel dead. That much is fair. Literally everything else? No. Optimus wasn’t betraying Megatron, he was trying to save what little of D16 was left.
Garbage. I hope this movie fails miserably.
Shut up d#ck head don’t be mad cuz your trash and can’t do any thing or make a good animation
0:14 you didn't betrayed me. you betrayed youreself
0:42 It wouldn’t have to end this way…. D.
Optimus Prime and Megatron may be enemies, but Orion was still holding out to the very end looking out for D-16, his best friend. 🥹
