Dude, I was so happy to see the Vehicons were back. They were some of my favorite characters from Prime, so I'm very much excited for Transformers One. Hope we get to see Steve too.
Oh that would be awesome to see if Prime reboots. I mean though it's unlikely that rebooting Prime might not happen...but if it does I hope the quality of the reboot would be still awesome. It would be amazing to compare the Transformers Prime from 2010 and recently in the next few years. It would be awesome to see the difference of Transformers Prime from a decade ago to now. But that's a suggestion..

man I'm so happy they took inspiration of the absolute best TFshow, TFP, Beast Wars, G1 and Animated to me are the best things in this franchise and if TFOne can take inspiration and is as good as many are pointing out, I think we might have the best movie in the franchise coming out way and the trailer 2 was just so BADASS.

Transformers Prime and its related media were supposed to be the base continuity for many years and the basis for future projects in other continuities. Although the former didn't work out so well, the latter has with many shows that dodn't use G1 inspirations mostly using either TFP or Bayverse.

In the aligned continuity, Optimus is a clerk in the hall of Iacon and alpha trion is his mentor and the reason why he was able to gain political standing in the first place. Here, Optimus and megatron are starting at the same place as miners. 2. In the aligned continuity, D-16 moved from the mines to the coliseum, where he adopted the name megatronus (one of the 13 original primes and the betrayer of the other 12) and gained status, which he used to gather a following and increase his political following. Here, It seems more like he's going to take over starscream's group (a pre-existing group) therefore making him seem more barbaric and a less capable leader/revolutionary because he resorted to violence instead of trying things with reason first. It also makes the deceptions look more like a bunch of villains who want cybertron to burn, than a force of people who are fed up with how they are being treated under the current regime, and have a justifiable reason for wanting to overthrow the old guard. 3. In the aligned continuity, bumblebee hadn't met Optimus until after the war started. He might not have even been born before the war started.

Yeah, the first time I stumbled upon Transformers Prime and saw the first episode, my first sighting of the Decepticons definitely scared me, more than any other transformers show I saw.
I absolutely loved Transformers Prime, and still think that it is still the best Transformers cartoon/animatedseries we've ever got. I also loved the Alligned continuity, since it took a lot from the IDW continuity which was brillinat in some instances (Megatron being D-16, and a miner came from those comics). I hate how the Alligned continuty treated Strascream tho. I had the feeling that they didn;t know what to do with the character. In the IDW continuity he was a bodyguard, a commander, a scientist and generally he was inconsistently written. (somethimes he was written as a capable, cunning, formidable soldier, and then in other instances he just turned into a sniveling coward.) It seems like they went with the commander Starscream in Transformers one.
Transformers Prime was so damn good Im happy parts of it survive into future installments, its a show that deserves to be remembered that way. TFA is also good, I think it goes without saying it also influenced many things.
I did notice these references this is pretty cool because the first media of transformers I have watched was transformed prime that's how I came to Now Transformers
I also noticed Megatron saying'DECEPTICONS RISE Up!'.That line is from Transformers Prime during season 3.Another thing is the T-Cog biology that is probably a reference about the TF prime T-Cog Biology.There are also the Vehicons or drones
You're right that Sentinel's grunts are similar to the Vehicons, I'm just baffled that you didn't use a single shot of Prime's silver flying ones we first saw--as far as I remember--at the end of S2 after Megatron used the Omega Lock. If you're trying to illustrate your point then those would've gone a long way, considering that they're a lot closer to 1:1 with One's vehicons than the basic purple Steves. P.S. We do absolutely get the TFP music in One, and it's perfect.
Multiple early reactions pointing out the score in particular means he fucking COOKED with this one. It takes something truly special to get that kind of attention. Tyler is a perfect pick for this, not only because of Prime but also because of the Mario movie (I’m serious). That score was one of the most energetic, joyous and propulsive scores of the 21st century. He also did some spectacular work on Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World and Power Rangers 2017, but I really think he’s found his niche with these animated franchise films. The fact that he has a history with Transformers is just the cherry on top for me. As far as the Prime theme goes, I’m going to hazard a guess that it won’t appear (though I wouldn’t complain if it did) similar to how Jablonsky and Bontemps themes are unlikely. I have a sneaking suspicion that the new rendition of the G1 theme we heard in the latest trailer might be Tyler’s work and something that could serve as a main theme for the film, with a smattering of character or faction themes around it. Trailers having previews of the actual score is becoming more common nowadays.
Here’s I want to see in Transformers One, I want D-16/Megatron to plead Orion Pax/Optimus Prime by telling them that he should either leave him alive, or end the war here & now, and then Orion/Optimus points a gun at D-16/Megatron. Oh God, I just realized something. Since this is supposedly partially inspired by the aligned continuity, there's a possibility we'll see Megatron kill Elita.
My only issue with transformer one is that it wasn't in the same continuity as that of transformer prime. Alpha trion shouldn't have to die, just correcting that was enough. Then transformer two would literally could have been the war leading to the death of cybertron.
Also important to note, from what we've seen it looks like the Cybertronian alt-modes are 1:1 with the War for Cybertron games. IMO those games are the best Transformers games ever made and the vehicle designs are some of my favorite in the franchise.
When I saw my favourite sadistic spider bot I knew I had to watch this film lol. Also I'm curious how they'll depict the start of the War. In Prime continuity it started because Megatronus and the decepticons essentially started a communist revolution because the living conditions of the working class were utterly inhumane (pun intended) and the ruling classes didn't know nor care about their suffering (much like the wealthy Western countries here on Earth) before Megatronus went crazy after eating one too many dark energon crystals.
Transformers One is the ultimate victory of the Aligned Continuity Family. I don't give a rats ass about the continuity holes, since it works well enough as a story where each installment has its own unique direction. But the primary goal of it was to become the definitive modern lore for the Transformers, and that very lore is getting adapted into a feature film. And every aligned hater I've seen that loved to rant about the continuity issues seems quite silent right now.

Financially speaking, rebooting Prime or something like it is a good decision since it is one of the more popular series in the fandom.
