Here is a question worth exploring: what factories existed during judgement day that allowed skynet to be able to construct better versions of itself? It would have to have smelters, forgers, stampers, crushers, articulated robots and perhaps even metallic 3d printers. It would have to be isolated and have access to a virtually unlimited power supply, plus the resources to mine raw materials. It's actually a pretty interesting thought experiment.
It wouldn't surprise me if Skynet intentionally used Neutron type nuclear warheads and intentionally ground-detonated conventional Thermonuclear warheads around those areas due to most of the energy being absorbed and reflected upwards by the ground, production or localized, short lived (yet extremely energetically dangerous), fallout, and the extreme degree hills or even other buildings would shield whatever is behind them from the lateral blast waves allowing the infrastructure Skynet needed to survive while killing the humans in the surrounding area (or driving out any survivors due to the area being so hostile to human life).
Terminator franchise in a nutshell: "can't we just hide??" *heat sensors, auditory sensors, optical visions* "can't we just fly?" *will took years and aerostat* "underwater?” .... "can we just die😭😭" ....
The original HKs always had me wondering why they had police lights on them like they'd originally meant them to be police units and skynet just never removed them from a design.
Fanny how the Japan Bubblegum Crisis anime copied a lot of things from Terminator and yet Terminator copied Moto-Slaves from the Bubblegum Crisis Anime, calling them Moto-Terminators. And now there is a Japan anime called Terminator Zero on Netflix. I love Bubblegum Crisis back in the 90s. It is still my favorite anime of all time. Then there is Gall Force too, that had a lot of influence from Terminator and then Terminator used a lot of things from it. Alien, Aliens, Bladeruner and Streets of Fire to. I love anything Cyber Punk. I am a Cyber Techno Wizard, after all. I design and built and program machines and computers. Scary how Ai is getting so close to what could be made into a Terminator.
Fellow weeb here, and props for being a fan of Bubblegum Crisis. Used to have a windows 98 PC that ran a theme from that show with the startup being the intro.
The human form is an excellent general-purpose design; it is pretty good at just about everything! But you need look no further than nearby insects to find body designs more specialized and optimized for killing.
Canonically, HKs DO use infrared. The only reason I can think of for the searchlights is for audience benefit, to add tension to the scene of these things seeking out their targets.
@GrandmasterDevo yeah I remember Kyle even mentioning that in the first movie. I always felt they added to lights for the reason you said. But in logical terms, it just seems stupid to make the machines look like they need spot lights to find things in the dark when they obviously wouldn't use an inferior mode of vision. Little things like that kill the mood of movies for me sometimes .
Well considering that Skynet utilized older models of terminators, some that probably lacked more advanced features, they probably utilized the lights. Also, remember how he said that sensors can be fooled? Sometimes a good spotlight can work wonders. Not to mention the mental anguish it can cause. The idea of a bright light catching you and leading death your way? For any non-combatant who isn't trained or hardened, at some point you might snap and just try to book it away from the light, only to inadvertently give away yours and others positions.
@RusselledJimmy thank you. I often forget that Skynet used psi ops to mess with humans mentally. I honestly just think of Slynet being so technologically advanced that I talk shit about it doing things like this without considering the other reasons why it might doing them. Thanks
It could, Xenomorphs would have the same problem Tyranids have with Necrons. Xenomorphs get nothing by subduing or killing terminators and thus can't replenish their forces as fast as skynet could. Though their molecular acid could eat through anything skynet makes.
I always assumed "Star" was a fully biological but damaged Terminator. Her ability to 'sense' the machines before they attacked made me believe that the writers would have revealed this if the movie had gotten a direct sequel. Alas, we may never know. By the way, did anyone else notice when the survivors were captured and placed in the processing pens, there appeared to be 'humans,' not Terminators, on the catwalks, walking back and forth as if overseeing the catch of the day?
In the comics, Skynet had made a special type of terminator. a Human being that was outfitted with Cybernetic augmentations but had complete loyalty to skynet as they were being controlled. even if the Human died, the CPU would restart them and animate their corpse.
Loved all the variations of terminators… But Skynet was Plot Dumb…. The Skynet Eels were cool AF, But seriously… Terminator Rats should have been a thing. They would be everywhere, they just carry that warhead battery cell and they accompany the Infiltration terminator. The rats use the infiltration unit as a distraction, and they get past dogs, troopers and detonate, completing the task. Would be almost impossible to figure out what the delivery system was…
@@billyfugate4823 No. Nothing like those. I'm thinking of John Byrne, Ralph McQuarrie, Syd Mead, Ron Cobb, Michael Whelan, Jim Burns, John Berkey, mostly western artists.
Arnie made terminator a hit and continued to do so with T2. I'm a fan of the movies and comics. We should be lucky we got schwarzenegger. I was a fan of his before terminator and still have all his films on vhs.

In the industry, this is called "plot armor".

Bubblegum crisis is Great I forgot all about it until I read your comment!

Fanny... lol
"None of them captured the same essence he did"
Robert Patrick would beg to differ.

Look out for The Waspinator.
90% of these aren't Terminators. The Terminator is the infiltration/assassination unit.
This video is showing Hunter killer units
Always thought the lights on the flying HK's was stupid. Why wouldn't it use ir? Lights just give away its excat location the whole time.

You forgot the T-47 which is featured in the game Terminator: Resistance
19 missed calls from ED 209
Wrong universe, call Doctor Strange.
Thank you for making this video. I was very interested at the terminator units and I hope you’re doing well and take care.😊❤
I'm starting to think skynet could defeat the xenomorphs
That would a interesting fight
Are you talking a xeno infection
?by via human fuck up.
Tell that to bishop friend

Most certainly.
Terminator salvation was such a good game
The T1 has been my longtime favorite
looks like johnny 5 on steroids and hgh.
The moto terminator was so badass!!
20:20 What the-? That’s a similar scene to the first live action Transformers movie when they were tackling Scorponok’s tail.
Thank you so much 😊
There should be a movie made, that shows how Skynet got completely set up, after the nukes dropped.
We were meant to see that after T3 but never got used in further movies unfortunately.
Tbh, all terminators are an extension of Skynet.
One thing I realized, in the video is no mentions of the T-47 from Terminator Resistances.
HK Arial & Tank is always best HK Version seen and most Dangerous Enemies to take on
We need to see terminator vs robocop
😮Area 51 probably has these drones

“Did You Know?” made me double check what channel I was on, narrator sounded just like Captain Eggcelent 😂💯
Salvation was so good
the T1 could also be evaded by running upstairs. Remind you of anything?
My favorite is the Moto-terminator.
i think its the most cringe terminator

Hasta la vista baby
The fourlegged one looks more like a Mirelurk from Fallout.
The Terminators should have gone beyond human form robots.
Like the machines from The Matrix?

All these ads almost every two minutes makes it impossible to watch .
My favorite Terminator is the H.K. flyers. Why it's the only one I can see uses reverse engineering and using. What???
0:19 Damn. I forgot about when Bryce Dallas Howard was actually kinda hot 😂
t meg was used in the universal ride in orlando in the 90s too never did like the laziness of its design
Where the hell they hide the tons of ammo?
The t1 is good in combat for 1 minute because those guns will be dry just about that quick.
You forgot about Flippy!
Captain state the obvious... 🤖
you missed a few
No T-70?
Macus I incarnated😊
Had to stop watching theses ads interrupting almost every two minutes makes it a hassle to listen or watch . Dropped out
I guess I shouldn't be surprised they made a robo-dog at one point...
The friggin' mouth on the tongue's a bit much tho
only the infiltration/assesination robot is called terminator
this is calling all alien in the alien franchise a xenomorph

A bipedal werewolf 🐺 Terminator would be cool. Imagine it using real fur/living tissue to resemble the terrifying monster of human folklore.

You should read the comic books. Fuck Arnie’s career. The story is not about him
Thy saying that to his face I dare you
