If you're looking for a great subsonic 7.62x39 deer load, use the Maker 190 gr. I run 14 gr of H4895 under them. Subsonic, cycles most aks and is very accurate with excellent expansion. The factory brown bear subs run the Russian equivalent of IMR 4227. It might not be exactly the same but both are fine stick powders and in my testing, produced identical velocities. Unfortunately they tend to be slightly supersonic from full length rifle barrels and they don't usually cycle aks. H4895 produces just a bit more gas and has better case fill for better consistency.

That’s a good caliber to reload also, even more to make your own subsonics with a hand mold bullet. You can shoot a lot more for the same money. Key is good price on the powder.

I just ordered the Banish 30 Gold about 2 weeks ago from Silencer Central for my 308 rifles. They are a great group to work with! Now, about the comment you made about the rough bolt action. I have shot that exact same model with crappy Wolf ammo with no problems except with one of the magazines. It made the action look like what you're experiencing. The other three mags I used provided excellent feeding and butter smooth action. The mag that comes with the gun can be crappy. Very poor quality control. But, man, that cheap rifle can shoot fantastic groups!

Those subsonic bullets where just a touch to fast. 1130 around here is about the about the limit. I personally load mine around 1050-1080fps for the quietest shooting. I suspect the extra barrel length you have over the AK is the reason you’re a touch to hot. Time to roll your own.

I don’t get the attraction of hunting with subsonic ammo. It should be one shot one kill, the lack of hydrostatic shock as well as bullet drop make hunting deer more of a liability than an asset with this setup. Unless your doing something illegal why not use the most potent round possible to maintain accuracy and limit the animals suffering. Still use the can for noise reduction/hearing protection. There are several very nasty subsonic bullets that petal nicely but past 100 yds it gets anemic and at 150 yds it’s dropping hard and more anemic. I hunt with a suppressor on a 6.5 CM, 308 or 300 black out but with standard velocity hunting rds. Still a lot easier on the ears but less potential suffering for the deer, I speak from a firsthand perspective.

@11:30 Great group. Ok story time. I shot a deer from 75 yards away with my scoped AK. (Yeah I know AK's are not supposed to be scoped) Well tell that to Christy that has never missed a targe. That's the name of the AK. NOTE!!!!!!!! If you tach out your AK and put lights, lasers and optics on it you must do a side mount for your optic if your AK has one. If not??? Well good luck on keeping it zeroed. Also you better use the best products you can afford. I blew apart 3 scopes and 2 lights before I bit the bullet and bought high end accerrious. So far there all still working great. I made a massive mistake when I shot the deer. I used wolf hollow points and blew the front quarter almost off. And it didn't die. I missed the vitals due to the hollow point round therefore I quickly drew my little pistol (that was a Desert Eagle 50 AE) And finished it off. Word to the wize, Never use hollow points if you want to preserve the most flesh possible! Always have a pistol and if you do mess up as I did just by being uneducated on what an AK with hollow points would to to flesh keep a side arm on you. Ok lets see the rest of the video.

My grouping changed a lot on my 65cm after adding a shusher. However, it is still just as predictable and I don’t shoot without it anyway. Multi-cal suppressors are awesome. I’ve spent a kings ransom in asr devices to shoot everything I can…with a can.

3 shot ES of 12 is pretty darn good for ammo that's probably under 30 cents a round.

Hey Dork!! There was an invention centuries ago called Oil! Yeah OIL. I would recommend Lucas oil that has a needle nose nozzle that is perfect for getting into tight spots to lube not clean. I don't know the cleaning ability of it but I use it all the time and oddly enough it's in auto part stores. Mainly O'reilly's and when you run out of the lube in the bottle "I hope your not using it on your animals" It can be refilled with whatever you want and still have an awesome applicator. I'm not an affiliate with lucas and will only give advice on things that I have personally proven to work great. I still love rem oil. That is if I'm doing a tear down or want to weatherize a wooden stock gun before the gods vagulate on me while shooting.

Nice groups with the supers. Shoot 10 in. High with the sub Sonics, or you could switch to a longbow. They’re quieter. Personally I’ve never shot subs and I don’t own a can so what the heck.

I have this exact same rifle and love it. This is my dream setup! It is on my to-do list to get a good all purpose can for this rifle. Can you disassemble this can for cleaning? Some of these cans seem to be sealed units that can't be disassembled. W/7.62 and 22lr cleaning is essential in my book.

Looking to buy a ranch gen2 to suppress. Shooting non sub sonic rounds is the sound difference between the 7.62 vs a 308 worth the energy difference. Or are they pretty close to the same sound level suppressed shooting normal hunting ammo?
