    I’m late to the party, but WOW! She’s unrecognizable!
    When I was a kid on the farm, we had to move long, heavy irrigation lines twice a day in 105+ heat every summer. The one thing I looked forward to was the scent of the beautiful pink wild roses growing along one of the fence lines, wafting in the breeze. The beautiful, subtle pink you have chosen immediately takes me back to the uncomplicated life of summers on the farm. I can almost feel the heat and the smell of those roses. Just perfection!! Bravo!

    • @ChicAntiquebyHolly
      @ChicAntiquebyHolly  3 года назад +1

      Thanks! Supplies and materials are typically different for each piece. It all depends on how much damage a piece has and what material it is made of.
      If you want to make it simple, I would suggest getting pieces that do not require any repairs & are solid wood.
      All you will need then is a TSP cleaner or degreaser, some 220 grit sandpaper to scuff sand, tack cloth to remove sanding dust, and an all-in-one paint. Something that has primer, paint, and top coat in one. An all-in-one paint will make the process a lot easier and a lot faster. My favorite is called Silk and it's made my Dixie Belle Paint Company.

      That’s so cool! I’m sure it was worth it!
      Aw thank you so much for watching. That means a lot. Do you have an Instagram or Facebook page I can follow and see when you’re done with your pieces?

      Thank you! My favorite place for hardware is Hobby Lobby. I also go to Home Depot and sometimes get things off Amazon.

    Very helpful video! Beautiful transformation! Do you feel the Annie Sloan paintbrush is necessary or would regular synthetic brushes achieve the same result?

    Yeah you did an excellent job on that dresser that is one of my very favorite dresser designs. Where did you find this dress or was it a flea market find?

    Beautiful work. You inspire me to try my hand at painting my bedroom. I have never done anything like this. What do I need to start? Any help will be deeply appreciated. I need to know what I have to buy and where to go to.get it.I know is a tall order. What are your recommendations. Where can I go to lean to do this, do you teach . 😊

    I love it that you don’t stand in front of your pieces ( with your hair and makeup perfect ) and talk about all the events that happened while doing your project. From your boyfriends help to how long it took to choose a paint color . You just quietly do the work . The reason we like to watch. Painting furniture ! And your voice is soothing and you don’t laugh throughout at all your own jokes . Sorry but so many of these painters are all about themselves. Thanks for that. I would like to ask why you don’t do some blending of colors and using dark waxes for depth . Also modern hardware is cool. Are you just liking to paint it one color and leave it ? Would love to see you use some of that gold gilding wax . Just some ideas for thought. Love your channel . I’ve been watching you since the very beginning! You’ve grown so much ! ✌️
