- This one is a gem folks. All solid Parlour - or 'mini folk' - or travel guitar made by Yamaha. The CSF3M comes in different finishes - this one is your favourite tobacco-burst.

Just bought one yesterday in natural. I cant put it down. Such a nice sounding instrument. I have four Yamaha guitars at the moment. LL16D, LL16/12, FG820 and now the CSF3M. I love them all and this little thing is so surprisingly punchy and sweet sounding and a joy to play. Love your review, cheers.
They are excellent guitars - glad you got a good one.
This is an amazing instrument. Been playing 25 years. Plays like a $1300 axe
I just bought one. I'm waiting it to arrive at my house. Is it so gorgeous??
@@mattiadei8402 has it arrived yet? Amazing little guitar. I strictly use it for finger picking. It holds tune well too. Strumming has a weird boxy sound but finger picking tone is gorgeous
@@michaelb7498 yes! But i don't find strumming boxy! For me it's gorgeous too
@@mattiadei8402 glad you like it! I have a Gibson J 45 standard as well.
Beautiful guitar. Fine review. Yamaha are top notch and great value
Indeed they are!
I landed a CSF3M for $375 used. For me it’s hands down a better guitar than my GS Mini. Better tone, but the mini wins on playability ever so slightly. I rarely pick up my other guitars now. I just love it, and it’s so fun to play.
Glad to hear - they are nice guitars.
Ryan Hop, what do you mean by playability? I have often read that the GS Mini string spacing at the nut is too narrow. Is the Yamaha even narrower?
Just bought one after agonizing over the relative pros and cons of the GS Mini and DJr and realizing I wanted something that perhaps combined the best features of each. So far I'm loving the Yamaha with no regrets. I only wish a no-pickup version were available for a lower price. I paid $590 plus tax at Guitar Center.
Yeah they are a bit pricey - but nicely made. Glad you like it.
Yamaha always offers very good quality for very affordable prices..
Indeed - top notch.
and it's fitted with a piezo passive pickup
Hi Daniel!I like these smaller bodied guitars for their definition, and they don't have to sound 'fragile',''high','thin' at all:In fact my farida m 50sb parlour sounds rather growling.(54-12as far as I remember....).Anyway, :A bit on the heavy side, like most Yamaha I've played?
My Farida is.Wish it would be 'lighter resonant'.-
First World Problems.Gheers!🙋
Interesting - hard to get Faridas over here. I would like to look at some.
Nice guitar! Reminds me of the epiphone John Lennon model.
Yes, same idea!
dam 🔥
Indeed!
please play it!
Do on many videos - information is important too.
What do you like between this and the Alverez ap66 parlor?
Pretty close - probably this one.
Thanks 👍
I watched your video on solid vs laminate wood. I’m getting the CSF3M in August. Do you think the upgrade to solid makes sense? I’ve played the CSF1M more than a few times, and I figured the move up to a solid wood guitar to have an even better guitar. Have you compared the solid and laminate versions?
I bought the CSF1M (laminate back) 2 yrs ago, excellent couch guitar, last year I invested in the all solid csf3m, bought it from yamaha music London. In my opinion they are both fantastic instruments , I really cant pick one above the other.
I'm buying one of these jewels? Is it also good for strumming??
